13/06/2026: If you're looking for a place where the palate is as much a feast as the eyes, this restaurant in Abruzzo is an absolute must. The restaurant enjoys a spectacular location: lunch (or dinner) overlooking the blue Adriatic Sea offers a sense of peace and wonder that, alone, is worth the trip. But the real journey begins when the dishes arrive at the table. 🐟 The Sea on the Plate I opted for a menu featuring only seafood and was absolutely blown away. The ingredients are incredibly fresh, carefully selected, and cooked to perfection. Each course is a perfect balance between the authentic flavor of seafood tradition and a touch of elegant modernity. From appetizers to main courses, you can sense the love and passion the chef puts into cooking. What made the evening truly perfect, however, was the service. In particular, I want to offer a special thanks to waiter Ruggero. His professionalism, kindness, and smile made all the difference. He guided us through our selection of dishes with great expertise and a friendly, yet never intrusive approach, making us feel pampered from start to finish. A true asset for this restaurant! FINAL VERDICT: A fabulous location, sublime food, and a warm welcome. Excellent value. I will definitely return and recommend it to anyone passing through. A well-deserved five stars!

08/06/2026: I had the impression of eating a frozen pizza. The base was about 1-1.5 cm thick and too dry on the bottom, while the area under the toppings was too doughy. This was by far the worst pizza I've had in Italy.

03/05/2026: My worst experience in Abruzzo was at this very restaurant. I went there this weekend with a group of friends and the food was terrible. The service was completely incompetent, the menu was meager, and the selection was limited. We opted for the arrosticini, which everyone raves about, but they were a total disappointment: truly inedible. The worst, however, came at the checkout: the owner was rude and arrogant, convinced he was friendly but simply out of place. I even went to the bathroom and the situation was terrible: dirt everywhere, truly questionable hygiene. The overall atmosphere is old, neglected, and absolutely not up to the price tag. It was the first time and will certainly be the last. I hope the authorities investigate, because it's absurd that a place in this condition can remain open. I can't give less than one star, otherwise I would have gladly done so!!!!

23/12/2025: Rustic, welcoming, and rustic. Dinner with delicious traditional appetizers and incredibly delicious arrosticini. Friendly, knowledgeable, and top-notch staff! Best arrosticini in the area!

01/01/2026: We came to this restaurant today. The choice was terrible: undercooked sea bass and potatoes taken from another dish. The souté imperial was anything but imperial. The black capsicum and fish were absolutely not fresh. I highly recommend walking on by instead of going in. We left almost everything there, and no one asked us anything.

17/04/2026: Terrible experience. The staff was extremely rude and unhelpful, making it hard to go back to the place, which, by the way, is nothing special in terms of food. They lost a customer.

17/04/2026: RUDE STAFF!! I needed a slice of pizza, but before buying it, I politely asked to use the bathroom. The lady was rude, telling me to go to the bar because that's a bathroom reserved for her customers. She also pointed out that she cleans it with her own water and her hands! She yelled at me and raised her voice. I used the bathroom, bought a slice of pizza that tasted like yeast, and politely said hello, but the lady didn't even respond. I'll never go back. Rudeness is a given!

17/05/2026: We were passing through after a trek and the town recommended this place to us. It was the best arrosticini I've ever eaten! We only had those, but the first courses looked excellent too, with generous portions. We highly recommend stopping here!

05/01/2026: Museo chiuso dal periodo del Covid fino a data ignota, i paesani ci hanno detto per ristrutturazione. Sul sito del Comune chiaramente non c'è scritto niente e quindi abbiamo fatto un viaggio a vuoto (fine Agosto 2020). Si trova in posizione scomoda, in un paese incuneato tra i monti e terremotato che dovrebbe fare dell'unico punto di forza che ha, la ceramica ed il suo museo, un motivo di attrazione turistica anziché languire lamentandosi della classe politica.

03/10/2025: We (sadly) returned to this exceptional privately run campsite for the second time in six years. It's quiet, with no road noise. At night, you can hear wolves howling or deer bellowing. The site is flat and wooded. Almost every pitch has an outdoor sink. Electricity is available. The bathrooms and showers are basic but clean. Anyone staying here in Abruzzo shouldn't miss Nicola's delicious cuisine. We'll definitely be back.

19/09/2025: Campsite nestled between Caramanico Terme and the Maiella. We stayed five nights in a tent. The pitch was well-organized with electricity and a sink, and clean bathrooms were just steps away. The restaurant was also excellent. It was a unique experience to hear the deer bellowing at night. If you're in the area, it definitely offers a great base for exploring the surrounding area.

01/05/2026: Discovered by chance, but a great place, especially excellent food, all truly 0 km (0 miles), or rather double 00. Friendly and helpful staff. We'll gladly return.

27/04/2026: Discovered by chance on our way back from vacation, the food is excellent and they're always available with tips and suggestions on the wonders of Abruzzo. A great place to eat well.

27/02/2026: Some say: come on, eat piadina in Abruzzo!! But no, come and eat this piadina because it's made to order, rolled out, cooked, and filled on the spot, and you can taste it right away. Tasty and fragrant, very light and thin. Good, good, good. Very friendly husband and wife team, reasonable prices, and in a convenient location in Castel di Sangro. It's definitely worth coming here to alternate with the usual restaurants and typical local trattorias (all good, mind you) 🤩 Piadina and drink for less than €10 per person. Enjoy your meal!
