18/07/2025: Nice place, ok food, but the service leaves something to be desired. We waited an hour and 15 minutes for the arrosticini, so it's worth trying as a place and food because they're ok, but you have to have a lot of patience.

31/07/2025: Beautiful place by the sea, very fresh and well-cooked fish. Abundant appetizers, first courses, and second courses, including fried fish, grilled calamari, and fabulous Abruzzo-style mussels. I recommend it to everyone for its quality and price.

30/07/2025: We didn't have a good experience. Poor table service, too rushed in clearing the table, and little attention to the customer. It wasn't nice to watch the staff watching videos at high volume on their phones. The pizza, however, was very good, no complaints.

16/02/2025: In cima ad una collina alle porte del capoluogo dell'Abruzzo, L'Aquila, troverete questo ristorante immerso in una location fiabesca. La storia familiare dei titolari si intreccia con i luoghi cosi' come le tradizioni, l'amore per la natura ed in buon cibo sono il frutto di un lascito generazionale che si tramanda dai nonni ai padri sino infine arrivare ai figli che hanno raccolto con amore il testimone. Un menu' con prodotti prevalentemente locali vi accogliera' per deliziare i vostri palati con piatti della tradizione gastronomica abruzzese. Inutile dirvi che le carni la fanno da padrone, ma anche i primi piatti di pasta fresca ammassata a ✋️. Una varieta' di antipasti sia caldi che freddi che rischia di soddisfare il vostro appetito gia' ad i primi piatti. Vari i secondi di carne cotti alla brace di un grande camino. In conclusione una esperienza grastronomica che vi fara' apprezzare i piatti semplici della tradizione contadina in un'ambiente di pura natura immersa nelle colline del circondario aquilano. Chiudo la recensione sottolineando la straordinaria sensibilita' e l'amore dei proprietari per i luoghi che videro i Nonni protagonisti della vita e della storia di questi luoghi di montagna dove la vita scorreva segnata dai ritmi di una natura aspra e piena di mille difficolta'. Vivamente consigliato.

20/07/2025: Mrs. Franca and Mr. Paolo are exquisite people, the menus are always fresh and changing, the staff is kind and professional on a daily basis... what can I say, excellent?

21/06/2025: Ristorante La Ruota presents itself well: a well-kept location, a not very spacious environment and an average menu, with land-based options. The restaurant is suitable for family dinners but not for small events. That said, the experience was mixed. Some dishes were well executed, such as the appetizers and the pasta, tasty and with fresh ingredients. However, other dishes were not entirely convincing: for example, the second courses arrived lukewarm and with a rather simple presentation, which clashed a bit with the proposed price. The service was also inconsistent: the staff is kind, but a bit distracted. We had to ask for water and bread several times, and the wait between one course and another was above average, even though the restaurant was not full. The bill was a bit high compared to the overall quality of the experience. This is not a failure, but there is certainly room for improvement both in the kitchen and in the organization of the service. In short: a restaurant with good potential, but which should focus more on consistency and customer care to really make a difference.
