15/03/2026: Honestly, the food didn't live up to my expectations. The cacio e ovo meatballs were delicious, but the truffle gnocchi were bland with a mismatched sauce; they really could have been better. I don't think I'll return. Maybe I'll give it a second try to see if I've been disappointed, given the other reviews.

16/02/2026: The slaughterhouse is a splendid gem. The waiters and staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. The dishes are varied, each one worth discovering. The highlights are obviously the meat dishes and steaks, although the flavors are further enhanced when accompanied by a cheese board and a nice red wine on tap. P.S. Regardless, the cheese board is always well-prepared, seasonally based, and very varied, so it's a must-try. We stop by often and are always pleasantly surprised, both by the high quality and the competitive price.

24/01/2026: Family evening: average prices, good appetizers, a delicious first course of torcilloni with mutton sauce, and a sublime mixed roast. Pinsa ni. The dough was a bit heavy and hard to digest. Another flaw was my daughter's appetizer: prosciutto and buffalo mozzarella. They had apparently run out of mozzarella, so they obviously replaced it with a mozzarella that wasn't buffalo, and since she's lactose intolerant, she couldn't eat it. I advise the staff to notify customers if they run out of product; she would have easily ordered another appetizer.

22/11/2025: One the most Abruzzo traditional culinary experience with lot of local specialties. We go there every time we travel to Vasto. Katja is always attentive to his customers. Whether you eat pasta alla scernese, raviolis, grilled meats with seasoning vegetables (and all the rest in the menu!) you cannot go wrong! Thanks Katja

12/02/2026: I’m a traveller from Los Angeles, staying in Francavilla al Mare to visit the Eucharistic Miracle in Lanciano. I’ve been to Rome, Pisa, Florence and Amalfi, but this restaurant has the best pizza I’ve ever had in Italy!!! Their seafood pasta was also very delicious! To top it all off, they also had very kind and professional service. Very welcoming. I’ll definitely be back again one day. Highly Recommend!!

23/03/2026: Nice place, very good arrosticini, definitely above average. The prices are also above average, but considering the restaurant's location, I'd say it's worth it. The service is efficient and fast, but since the restaurant is always crowded, you may have to wait a while for service. The food is good quality and reflects the Abruzzo tradition.

02/02/2026: There are many types of cuisine, but Chef Pierluigi's cuisine at Don Evandro is an act of love. Love for the land, love for the raw materials, which are enhanced in every way (we drank a cocktail with onion extract that was a revelation), love for culinary art and technique, and love for his guests. We had the pleasure of tasting so many different dishes, combining tradition and innovation, transforming "a simple onion" into a masterpiece, bringing "chitarra" with crayfish to the table with a sauce that is truly a distillation of flavors, blending earthy roots with freshwater flavors. All this was topped off by Eugenia's kindness and warmth, which made us feel welcomed and at home in a minimalist yet meticulously maintained setting. If cooking is an act of love, you just need to trust and be guided, with an open mind and a palate ready for an experience to remember.

29/01/2026: Don Evandro was an excellent fine dining experience. The food was excellent, sourced locally, and cooked/presented in a way that highlighted the ingredients and flavours of the local region. The staff were friendly and despite the formality of the dining experience, I found myself to be quite comfortable.
