We had dinner at this tavern and it felt like home. The owner was very friendly and brilliant, and the food was excellent. We'll be back. Thank you.

If you truly want to experience authentic food and people, you've come to the right place! ZIO (as he says) is incredibly welcoming, kind, and hospitable—a truly special person, one we'll surely remember even years after this trip! The food is all made with fresh produce, vegetables from the garden (the fava beans and turnip greens are spectacular), the pasta is all homemade by the owner's mother, and the meat has a flavor that many have forgotten when eating supermarket-bought meat. The house antipasto is a must-try, and I think the pasta e ceci/pasta e fagioli (pasta and beans) are exceptional. This restaurant is truly a gem among a sea of ​​mediocre restaurants that only want to rip you off... the uncle's kindness and heart are priceless. Best regards from Genoa.

Well this was an unexpected highlight to our day and trip. It’s relatively in the middle on nowhere just north of Ortona but worth the stop. Owner operator I assume is Gianlucca, a character for sure.! His mother is in the kitchen and produces good eats, honest Abruzzcese fair. It may not look that inviting from the outside but is very charming on the inside, and Gianlucca will entertain and charm you.

Here we are, congratulating Silavana and Gianluca...excellent hosts of this cozy little restaurant in Ortona. From the appetizers, to the first courses, and finally the roast...everything was delicious and authentic. Highly recommended.

Fantastic lunch, welcoming and authentic atmosphere. Low prices and exceptional quality. The only thing that beats the quality of the food is Gianluca and Silvana's friendliness. A must-do experience, definitely worth repeating!
