11/07/2026: First time at this restaurant. We came because I saw some great dishes online, but when I asked if they had any particular ones, they told me they make them seasonally and that there's no real menu on their website... first disappointment. We ended up staying for dinner, but the menu was very limited with very few choices (three dishes per person). We ordered cold cuts and cheeses, which weren't bad at all, but they immediately took the menu away without giving us a chance to consult or choose further. The staff is not very friendly and doesn't know how to deal with customers. (A customer is always pleased to receive a smile.) The icing on the cake was that I left the restaurant completely bitten by mosquitoes. This shows that there's no care or attention to ensure a pleasant stay for the customer... and it's a shame. I honestly won't be returning.

07/04/2026: We went for dinner on Easter Sunday, (4 people), and the food was very good. The service was impeccable, professional and friendly. The quality/price ratio was excellent. Definitely recommended.

04/04/2026: Beautiful hotel with truly comfortable rooms and a kitchenette. A studio apartment at a great price, perfect for combining a night with an excellent dinner at the adjacent restaurant. A well-kept courtyard surrounds these spaces, both palate-pleasing and relaxing. For 40 years, San Daniele has provided me with a simple yet intense experience, always satisfying. Restaurant: In a welcoming, refined yet family-friendly atmosphere, excellent prosciutto, aged 24 or 36 months, cooked with superb horseradish, excellent pickled vegetables and frico. Courtesy, prompt service, and the cleanliness, order, and quality are certainly excellent here. I enjoyed the house Friulano Bianco, which paired perfectly with the prosciutto. San Daniele remains a unique gem, and the DOCG prosciutto deserves UNESCO World Heritage recognition. For these reasons, I declare myself absolutely anti-global. Long live Italy, an extraordinary food and wine paradise.

23/07/2026: In my opinion, one of the best gelatos I've ever had. Local flavors, seasonal fruit gelato, a focus on vegan gelato, and balanced flavors. I really couldn't say which flavor is the best because they're all excellent. Another plus is the price: in 2026, a scoop costs €1.70, whereas much lesser gelato shops charge around €2. And last but not least, you can have half a scoop without any fuss or excuses, or get a scoop with two flavors. I go whenever I can because the gelato is worth it, as is the kindness and helpfulness of the girl at the counter. Well done!! Highly recommended!

12/07/2026: A beautiful place, which promised very high expectations, disappointed by the poor quality and attention to the products in the tasting trio that was offered to us.

09/07/2026: We stopped by after a visit to Udine. We first purchased products from their shop—a good selection of wines, but we didn't find many Friulian wines—and then stopped for dinner. The tagliolini were excellent, and of course the prosciutto. Overall, we liked everything, including the service and the generous portions. It would be interesting to offer a discount on the shop for those who stop by for dinner as well. The products are certainly of high quality, but some are a bit pricey. The Prosciutto dell'Ava museum on the first floor is also small but interesting.

30/06/2026: I stop here several times for lunch (workers' menu) and the service is excellent and fast. In the evening, however, everything changes.

20/06/2026: Awkward review, and now we get to the point: Price, quality, and excellent service from the girls—good, polite, nice, and kind. The pizza chefs, even under pressure from the heavy workload, always say hello, perhaps even with just a glance. The veteran waiter is top notch... The kebab service and the accompanying guy are worth sending away. Unfriendly, presumptuous, and rude. I don't agree with the saying "the customer is always right," but when you're dealing with someone like this, it makes you want to move on. And I'm sorry.

25/05/2026: A refined setting, with a pleasant and convivial atmosphere. This is largely thanks to Francesco, the kind, attentive, and welcoming host. The paccheri with San Daniele ragù are a must-try, if available (my wife and I shared a second helping), and the tagliolini are also delicious.

12/11/2025: We chose this place randomly for three takeout pizzas, so we can't judge the ambiance or service; we'll focus "only" on the pizzas. A capricciosa with spicy salami, one with olives, and one with sausage and chips. We trust the owners for the quality of the ingredients, but the quantity on the pizzas was truly ridiculous: eight olives with the pits (obviously, these prized Greek olives are the only way to eat them), eight slices of sausage, and four slices of salami. This isn't a freebie, given that we paid €32 for just three pizzas. We understand that your ingredients are renowned and expensive, but we would have liked to savor them more, and for our next takeout pizza, we'll pamper our taste buds elsewhere.

07/11/2025: Excellent pizza: good, light dough, top-quality ingredients and toppings. Sandwiches (tried the burgers - just added to the menu) AMAZING! I haven't been this satisfied with a burger in years: abundant, high-quality ingredients, excellent, perfectly cooked meat, harmonious flavors. Melts in your mouth. 11/10. The freshly made bread with pizza dough is a great touch! My new go-to place in the area for satisfying my burger cravings!
