25/02/2025: And yes, I understood the "format" correctly. We wanted a hearty soup on a cold, windy day. The soup was good, but there wasn't much of it. The service was friendly and the place was family-run, despite the fact that the lady looked at us sternly as she distributed our waste in the designated bins and the ceramic soup bowls in the storage room. We wouldn't return, simply because we left hungry after paying over 22 euros for two soups, two small pieces of bread, and a small bottle of water. The price seemed excessive for what we got.

28/02/2026: This restaurant in the heart of Trieste is a must-try: The first thing that catches your eye is the ambiance: the location is truly unique, meticulously maintained, and has a sophisticated atmosphere that blends historic style with a modern, bold touch. We sampled both seafood and meat dishes and were very satisfied. The spaghetti alla busara is flavorful, rich, and cooked according to tradition. Moving on to the meat, you can taste the quality of the ingredients, and the cooking was impeccable, juicy, and beautifully presented. The staff is knowledgeable and very courteous. Despite the restaurant being often busy and lively, the service is attentive. In short: you eat well, you drink even better, and you're in a special place.

08/08/2026: The name "Osmiza" is completely misleading and shouldn't even be there. It used to be an osmiza, but the current owner has turned it into a high-priced (beyond all logic and common sense) tasting room for her own products (which she holds in high regard), "offered" for a pricey trial and then insistently trying to sell them. What a shame: how ruined what was once an osmiza. Advice: if you're looking for a real osmiza and to experience its spirit and the experience it offers, go elsewhere (they're marked with a red arrow and a branch, while this one has a yellow arrow and a branch as a commercial sign). Personally, I was truly disappointed by this commercial ploy, which I find out of place in our Karst region; besides, the place is rarely visited (you'll certainly have no problem finding free seats...), especially by locals who never set foot here. Personally—and in line with those who know osmiza—I certainly won't be returning here, that much is clear.

31/07/2026: The setting is beautiful, sitting under the olive trees on a warm summer day sipping wine was just lovely. Though the lard products weren't for me, the prosciutto, salami and olive oil were glorious. The lady who served us was incredibly sweet, and spoke to us clearly and gently so that we could use the little Italian we had to understand all about the different things she was serving us.

10/05/2025: Tremendo. Potessi gli darei 0 stelle. Prezzi super gonfiati per delle pietanze che di qualità potevo ricercare al supermercato . Non sto scherzando. Un'insalata dell' Lidl buttata dentro una ciotola direttamente dalla busta: non condita, con appena un po' di frutta secca. Buoni i gamberetti, ma seriamente 5 di numero x 15 euro? Per non parlare della paella. Mai neppure vista. Appena sedute (siamo arrivate alle 19:10), ci dicono che avremmo dovuto aspettare mezz'ora. E va bene. Aspettiamo aspettiamo e aspettiamo, e alle 20:30, chiediamo della pietanza per due e ci dicono che bisogna aspettare un'altra mezz'ora/40 Min. E il locale era pure semi vuoto. Ora capisco il perché. Ci siamo alzate e siamo andate via. Mai più.

28/07/2025: Abbiamo cenato con amici, vasta scelta di piatti, ottima la qualità dei salumi, carme ottima e ben preparata, personale gentile e prezzi adeguato alla qualità. Bella location immersa del verde e tranquillità. Veramente bravi. Ci torneremo di sicuro.

13/07/2025: Il posto è molto bello ma la cucina da incubo, organizzati malissimo, abbiamo aspettato 2 ore per ricevere le portate, che sono arrivate sbagliate (hanno consegnato i secondi al posto dei primi), il pollo era crudo e gocciolava il sangue, camerieri scortesi. Mai più!!
