02/11/2025: Rustic Osmiza on the Karst. Simple and traditional menu. I don't think the cold cuts were theirs, but the Jota sausage was very good, albeit quite acidic. Special compliments for the warmth and helpfulness of the lady who served us. Thank you.

25/10/2025: Traditional atmosphere and historic osmiza (traditional tavern) of the area. The menu is more varied than the classic osmiza (traditional tavern) with traditional local dishes such as porcini mushroom sandwich, gnocchi, and jota. The cheese tasting plate is also excellent, and paired with a hearty Vitovska (a local wine) will whet your appetite. Nearby, trails wind through the lesser-visited and spectacular Csrso, with a fascinating former onyx quarry just steps away. A pleasant, family-friendly atmosphere.

27/08/2026: I found this place after doing some online research. The pizza is excellent, not quite as thick as Neapolitan pizza, but a good compromise with Roman pizza, which is thin, and I prefer it. The place is very cute, and the girls at the tables are very kind. There's an endless selection of toppings, and if you don't want pizza, the menu also offers a restaurant option. If I were to return to Trieste, this is definitely a place I'd book again.

10/08/2026: Part of the food didn't arrive, and after asking several times, only half of it was ready. The waitress barely reacted and didn't seem to care at all. When paying, my colleague thought the change (€50 on a €150 bill) was the tip and put it back inside. Never go there.

17/08/2026: Only drink but holy moly this bar is the best I have ever been to I drank too many cocktail carafes. The Bartenders are very nice too and it's in general such a nice atmosphere. Waiters and waitresses are nice. Nothing to complain about I can only glaze this bar

18/06/2026: We came here for cocktails and generally had a pleasant time. We had the gin and coffee cocktail and enjoyed this immensely. However, the level of service was mixed, with Marco who gave a professional and friendly service and others less so. The bar surroundings were not the nicest we have sat in either, I think possibly outside would have had a better atmosphere. Overall, the cocktails were excellent but the ambience far less so.

04/08/2026: But is this place real? And above all: why didn't I know? Perhaps because it's completely hidden by its very name. From the outside, and even when looking for it, it simply looks like an ice cream shop. Only those in the know know that behind the ice cream lies much more: a real beer garden in the woods, with food, beer, tables, lights, and a whole evening to enjoy. A sort of clandestine establishment, perfectly legal, protected by a sign that discourages anyone who hasn't already been informed. Those in on the secret laugh. The more experienced ones drink. The ignorant, like me, arrive perhaps thinking of a couple of scoops and end up studying the menu, trying to figure out how they've missed all this until now. The prices immediately help maintain concentration. A beer costs eight euros: slightly ambitious, let's say. But the ambience makes up for it. The service, too, is kind and pleasant, albeit with a concept of time perfectly consistent with that of an oasis. It's a little slow, yes. But you don't have to order a second beer anyway. And even when you change your mind, you're given enough time to reflect, reevaluate your financial priorities, and perhaps revert to your initial decision. So everything makes sense. The menu is unique, in a good way. We tried several options, and it's worth returning to continue exploring. It's not just the classic sandwiches, which are large, tasty, and more than decent. Where else do you find parmigiana a regular on the menu at a beer garden? The rooster is perhaps less revolutionary, but eating it with both hands, while simultaneously trying to balance the one beer allowed on the evening's budget, has a charm all its own. A beer. Literally. The place seems to have been plucked from a fairy tale set in the woods: the interior is entirely paneled in wood, while strings of lights drape across the branches and remain suspended overhead. A sensory compensation so effective that it can transform any dish coming out of the kitchen into a MasterChef final. The beauty is, it doesn't even need to be. The food is already good enough. The alcohol limit, however, is responsibly imposed by the price. Everything makes sense. So do we. Now that we've realized how good it is, we'll be back.

14/04/2026: Good products and decent location. The owner is the problem: visibly drunk, rude, and disrespectful to customers. Behavior incompatible with a business open to the public. A ruined experience. I won't be returning.

18/08/2026: This snack bar should leave the pizza baking to others. Drinks are relatively expensive. The staff is friendly, but the service is rather slow.

07/08/2026: Canadian visiting Italy. We grabbed some breakfast items for this store before hoping on a train out of the city. Prices were fair even for buying food at a restaurant inside a train station. They also understand that people purchasing from here are commuting either to or from the city so speed of service is important and we got that. Food was good, it served its purpose and we got what we needed for the train trip.

21/07/2026: I came in for a simple coffee and reported that the spoon had a visible stain. The answer I received was that it was limescale, not dirt. I found the explanation unconvincing, especially since a coffee stain can remain if it's not washed thoroughly. The main problem, however, was the way the complaint was handled: instead of simply replacing the spoon politely, the response seemed argumentative and almost mocking. In the end, I was given another spoon, but in a place open to the public, I expect greater attention to cleanliness and, above all, a more professional attitude toward the customer.

12/02/2026: Bad, bad, hygienic, place from the '80s (if you're lucky). €1.40 for a mediocre coffee, and to top it off, the wrong change and a similar coin show to justify the "mistake."
