26/05/2025: Hi, I was in town for the pride on Saturday and unfortunately I came to this pizzeria at 2:20 pm. I definitely wouldn't have asked for a Neapolitan pizza but both my RED one with capers and vegetables and my girlfriend's margherita were really low quality 😬 thin hard and in any case definitely not worth the price of 12 euros 💶 I didn't have the chance to try the cuisine (also because in any case there is nothing vegan) but if you want a good pizza don't come to this pizzeria

21/04/2025: the tortelli alla Piacentina were very few and the scialatielli with clams had cold and still frozen clams.

11/05/2025: The location and the place are not exceptional but the ice cream is good, certainly above average in the city.

01/04/2025: A clearly historic place that, precisely because of its style, I had been curious to try for some time. The interiors are very spacious, and their style creates a relaxing environment for the eyes. I liked the presence of an aquarium, to liven up and color everything. The ladies at the counter were friendly and quick with service. The ice cream itself was good; with individual flavors distinguishable from each other, not too sugary and without the presence of pieces of ice. Consequently, I admit that it is a matter of personal taste when I say that I was disappointed to feel a total lack of creaminess and creaminess in it. In fact, I have always preferred a type of ice cream that is less watery and that doesn't melt too quickly. The fact that it left a slight annoying aftertaste in the mouth, once finished, I admit did not help the evaluation. I understand why you like it, but personally I prefer something else.

01/08/2024: They very kindly let me sit outside (to work on the PC) without asking me if I wanted to eat anything. But the heat made itself felt: I preferred an iced coffee. The order caused initial uncertainty in the young barista, but the father's assistance allowed him to serve me a tasty shaken coffee in a nice cocktail glass. Excellent!

31/12/2024: Beautiful environment, very homely. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good food and excellent value for money.

14/12/2024: Tempo fa avevo scritto una recensione negativa, soprattutto legata alla gestione del servizio ( tempi, modi ecc ) e alla qualità della pizza Sono tornato ( con alcune perplessità ) e ho trovato una ritrovata organizzazione e ho mangiato una buona pizza, con personale di sala gentile e carino Mi pareva corretto scriverlo.

18/06/2025: To be honest this review isn't for the establishment's offerings, didn't get to try anything here. Here's what happened though, watched a guy chase a pregnant lady (showing quite a bit), thought local family drama but soon guy started attacking and kicking the lady. Lady was aghast pointing out at her pregnant status which had no effects on the guy. Then realized that guy was actually a local since wearing some cinque Terre t-shirt, later saw all Gianni Franzi staff were wearing the same t-shirts. Moreover the same guy resumed his duties at the establishment, business as usual. Very disappointed to see no one else from the area dared to talk sense into him or the place that employs him (may be family?). Any kicking a visibly pregnant lady unable to defend herself should be beyond anyone no matter what the situation or is that too much to expect?

24/05/2025: Overall, a normal place, I took some menu from a bun with spicy chicken and a little cabbage, French fries and a Coke Zero. The bun was tasty, the meat was also normal, only the meat was not very spicy. The potatoes were normal. The packets with sauces were greasy.

31/10/2024: First of all, the waiter didn't speak English at all! We asked him questions about food, he just shrugged his shoulders and literally said “I don’t know.” Secondly, this is the first place in Florence with such a poor level of food and products. I ordered a caprese salad, in which they put some tasteless weathered cheese instead of classic mozzarella. The tomatoes were tasteless, the pasta with truffle was without truffle! Very bad! Don't go here!

20/10/2024: Hands down, the best ricotta and spinach ravioli I've ever tasted. Absolutely amazing food. Would highly recommend and prices are very reasonable. Must cost when in Florence!

04/06/2025: Convenient because it is located near the train station. Good quality of food. Two-story environment. Recommended for those passing through.

02/01/2025: The spaces are very beautiful... Ancient glories from the 70s/80s/90s Well-kept environment but currently little frequented as a disco... minimal investment... a mini DJ station... Lights and effects...used as strictly necessary...super minimal bar...it is VERY clear that it is extremely tiring to maintain such a large environment.... Disco in January... freezing.. Poorly maintained restaurant...minimal portions...shame...the white vintage chairs need to be repainted....Bathrooms need to be changed...embarrassing. A PLACE WHERE YOU CAN BREATHE HISTORY. THE STRUCTURE IS BEAUTIFUL... large. That's all.

16/06/2025: Really shameful staff. They make you get up from the table saying "the place is for 4" with the place empty. Terrible with customers, lack of experience.

15/06/2025: We waited a good 30 minutes to receive two Cokes and four bottles of water, despite the place being practically empty. When the staff finally deigned to serve us, the order was wrong. As if that were not enough, when we kindly asked to slightly lower the volume of the music (which was excessively loud) we received an indifferent response and the volume was actually TURNED UP. A behavior that demonstrates a total lack of attention towards the customer.
