25/04/2025: We went for a drink after a long trip. It wasn't what we expected. Especially for the attention. A staff unwilling to understand foreigners, unfriendly and as if it were difficult to serve us. I ordered a very hot latte macchiato and they served it lukewarm, I had to ask for it to be heated and they put it in the microwave... Very little good will.

16/04/2025: One of the most spacious bars I've ever seen in Piacenza. From what other reviews say, I would have gladly discovered it a few years ago with the old management, but even being run by Asian people makes a good impression. The staff is numerous and well-coordinated, kind and quick in their service. Despite the size of the interior and the amount of customers, everything is cleaned immediately. I always appreciate when the right attention is given to details like this. Professionalism is essential for me, and here it is shown as it should be. What intrigued me in wanting to try breakfast here was the vast variety and diversity of the brioches, of even higher quality than the standard croissants in bars. Both the pastries and the latte macchiato were delicious; in smaller quantities than cups I've found elsewhere, but overall it was sufficient. Definitely one of the best bar breakfasts you can find in the city, if we don't also consider bakeries and pastry shops. I didn't dislike it at all as an experience.

27/10/2024: Si può aspettare un 1 ora e 35 minuti per un hamburger preconfezionato che avrebbe sfamato a malapena un bambino di 8 anni?? Il problema è che almeno nel nostro tavolo siamo riusciti a mangiare ma la maggior parte dei tavoli neppure hanno mangiato! Nella mia vita è la prima volta che vedo un delirio simile. Le cameriere erano nel caos e hanno pure sbagliato alcuni hamburger! La birra alla spina rossa non è buona, menù ridottissimo, non ti portano neppure le posate al tavolo.

16/06/2025: Terrible experience – avoid this place! I booked this accommodation through Booking.com, but when I arrived, the owner refused to let me in. He claimed there was a problem on my side, which was not true. He was extremely rude and unprofessional. Not only did he refuse to refund my money, but he also tried to pressure me into booking a more expensive place he offered elsewhere. It felt like a scam. I was left stranded without a place to stay and had to make last-minute arrangements on my own. I strongly advise against booking this place. Totally unacceptable behavior and zero respect for guests.

01/05/2025: The place is nice, the sliced ​​pizza was good, there was only one thing I didn't like, the normal pizza: the dough was very thin so much so that it looked like a breadstick. Personally I wouldn't go back.

10/03/2025: Everything was fine, good and I ate enough pizza and ice cream. I was there again 2 days ago after a year! Again very friendly and accommodating, the pizzas perfect, the ice cream also excellent. Price first class 4 people, all full to the brim with pizza, ice cream and drinks 45 euros and worth every euro! We'll definitely be back next year 👌

18/03/2025: Being a business that has been open since 1948, and having many fans who speak well of it, I have always wanted to try this bakery from the moment I discovered its existence, especially after noticing that the confectionery production was also significant. I can't say whether the experience was positive or negative; perhaps a middle ground, a gray area that ultimately I didn't mind. Unfortunately, I didn't appreciate the croissants. Not because it was Italian-style dough, but rather because of its dryness and lack of taste in the pastry. And I have tried brioches produced by ovens, but I have rarely found them so unpleasant. It probably also didn't help that the quantities of creams inside them were very minimal, so that they couldn't even mask and improve the flavor. The miniatures, however, didn't displease me at all; and if it is true that among the many pastry shops I have tried, this one remains average, it is also still true that it is a very rustic and easy-to-use production, therefore good by its standards. I particularly appreciated the mignon completely covered in white chocolate: a delight that I hadn't yet found around. I can't say the same thing about pumpkin bread, though. Maybe it's not their forte, maybe the other types of bread, however, are stellar, but this one, despite its goodness, immediately weighed down the stomach, so I hypothesize that there was something wrong with the leavening. The meringues in different shapes and colors are extremely pretty and cute. Delicious for both the eye and the palate. Since I have other tastes in the matter, I don't think I'll return to this place again, but as usual I'm more than happy to try things I'm not familiar with, especially when it comes to desserts. The staff are very kind and the prices are honest: I can therefore understand this popularity in the neighborhood.

09/05/2025: I entered with a smile and unfortunately I left with a bitter taste in my mouth. The staff was unwelcoming and not at all helpful. I was simply taking two sachets of sugar when the lady at the counter looked me up and down and responded rudely. It was not an isolated case....I also noticed the same attitude towards other people, both before and after me. It's a real shame, because the bar is in a convenient location, but with a welcome like that it really makes you want to go back. I highly recommend reviewing the way you treat customers.

30/09/2024: Since Sottomura changed management, the place has become a place to avoid. I've been here three times and something's wrong three times. The first time the place had just changed management and the guys were young people recently hired, so I apologized for the disorganization, the delays, the uninformed waiters, etc. Furthermore, I had just had a drink and in the end I had even succeeded in my aim. The second time it went the same way, with the addition of the fact that we had also ordered chips to eat, and these arrived at least forty minutes after we finished drinking the drinks. The last time, last night, we ordered a series of drinks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic, including sweet soft drinks and dry soft drinks. At first, the waiter snorted and protested when faced with various but legitimate requests, to the point of forcing some of us to change the order to standardize the order and avoid the bartender having to prepare too different mixes. Then, he brought some drinks instead of others, also asking us to take them anyway instead of the ones we had ordered because otherwise they would have been wasted. Of two negronis taken, one was full, the other was halved (obviously we paid both in full). Finally, after everyone settled their bill, we were informed that the accounts didn't add up and some drinks hadn't been paid for (which wasn't true, it was clearly their mistake). In short, if on the two previous occasions we were a little disappointed but in the end we were satisfied, this time we have to write a review here also to warn any other customers. Place to avoid. I also gave 1 star to the environment because I personally find the new furniture very sloppy, but beyond this: in a bar without a dance floor, where people go to spend an evening in company to have a drink and chat, how would you think of placing a deafening DJ set just a few meters from the tables? Obviously no one was dancing (also because, I repeat, there was no space). Summary of the experience: nonsense. Especially at these prices.

The beauty of the dining areas is perfectly selected with excellent care. The location is so lovely, situated next to the castle. We visit twice a year, just for this lovely family owned restaurant. The staff are so welcoming. The wine is also well selected to each item on the menu. Thank you for making our visits so special 💖.

02/05/2025: Locale che si salva solo per la visita panoramica. Personale arrogante, cibo pessimo, ho preso la tagliata con i porcini..totalmente insapore molto grassa ed i funghi mi hanno fatta stare male per tutto il giorno.Pappardelle al sugo di lepre praticamente in bianco,il sugo non si vedeva. I servizi igienici fanno pietà,sporchi, inaccessibili e non c'è un fasciatoio per eventuale cambio pannolini dei bambini. Un solo seggiolone per bambini in tutta la struttura, e per di più mezzo barcollante e poco sicuro. Non tornerò più e non lo consiglio.

26/05/2025: Hi, I was in town for the pride on Saturday and unfortunately I came to this pizzeria at 2:20 pm. I definitely wouldn't have asked for a Neapolitan pizza but both my RED one with capers and vegetables and my girlfriend's margherita were really low quality 😬 thin hard and in any case definitely not worth the price of 12 euros 💶 I didn't have the chance to try the cuisine (also because in any case there is nothing vegan) but if you want a good pizza don't come to this pizzeria

21/04/2025: the tortelli alla Piacentina were very few and the scialatielli with clams had cold and still frozen clams.
