25/03/2025: After walking in for the first time, I understand why many consider it the best pastry shop in Piacenza. There's a huge and varied selection of mini pastries, from classics to more unusual creations not found everywhere. Not only is the selection extensive, they're all fresh and delicious. Or almost: only the babà is a complete fail for me, since the rum wasn't previously diluted or even sweetened before dipping it into the leavened dough. Basically, the equivalent of a healthy shot. But aside from this lapse in style, everything else was extremely good. I especially praise the pistachio and zabaglione, both of which are high-quality creams. It's also the first pastry shop in Piacenza where I've noticed individual portions of modern cakes. I'll definitely be back, just to see if they're as pleasing to the palate as they are to the eye. The croissants also pleasantly surprised me, as the dough and pastry are very reminiscent of the croissants I find in Calabria, in Cosenza and Rende to be precise. Although completely unintentional, I truly appreciated the possibility of making this association with places I'm particularly fond of. As high-quality as this bakery is, however, I can't understand the price per kilo of the mini pastries. I understand that all raw materials are now priced higher, and I also understand that this place is located on one of Piacenza's main streets, but that doesn't justify such exorbitant prices. In any case, it has too many positives to make me consider giving it less than five stars; personally, I think it's deserved. The ladies on the staff are very kind.

03/11/2025: I've ordered several times, but the last time I received two ribs with the vacuum seal already leaking. I opened them and the smell was nauseating. I explained the problem, but they thought it was normal. I asked two friends who are chefs, and they told me not to eat them. The result: €90 in the trash because even when cooked, they smelled awful.

22/10/2025: Without being controversial, I'll summarize my second experience (the first was excellent at the beginning of the year) with the butcher shop that sells online. I wrote to make sure I'd receive the package on Friday, and they confirmed it, so I paid on Wednesday (€460) and waited. I had a very important dinner on Friday, and I see a morning time slot... I hope so. They didn't deliver, updating the appointment in the PM. They reschedule until 10 PM... and no one shows up with dinner missed. On Saturday, they told me they don't know where the package is (it didn't actually leave Milan). Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, nothing... customer service, you call and they never answer and they don't call you back (they only communicate via text or WhatsApp). Would you buy meat that's been kept for six days? On Tuesday evening, a stranger (the courier) called me to tell me the package was being delivered, which I refused. We're waiting for a refund. The butcher shop is fantastic and helpful, but they've given the online sales part to another management. Stop.

05/06/2025: I'm changing this to answer you because I'm staying polite and not leaving another 1-star review. Reviews are a very useful tool, and it's convenient to expect everyone to tell you everything in person so you don't make a bad impression publicly, but it's fair that those of us who are celebrating an important occasion like our 30th birthday and the reveal of our child's gender decide whether or not we want to be a waiter all day before coming to your establishment. We didn't stop to argue there out of respect for the other guests present and because after 3 hours of serving ourselves we didn't want to have to argue since the topic didn't even come up for you. You can also be happy that there are only 3 reviews because the other 18 people present all complained about what I reported objectively and politely, so much so that they felt obliged to also divide the money that we ended up paying. We spoke by message, always finding hasty answers and kindly asking to answer the questions I asked, when you communicate that you are bringing desserts at the end of May I think it is the restaurateur's duty to verify what desserts they are but here we understood that "autonomy" reigns supreme. Of course - as I indicated - the solution was found, but the desserts were inevitably warm and half melted. When "autonomy" means making the guests become your own waiters who travel the kilometers back and forth for the entire duration of the event perhaps it should be specified beforehand, precisely because the picnic area is 300 meters away, uphill and under the sun. "You only brought the cake and left", very kind, if I had not brought the cake by revealing myself you would have seen us perhaps only at the time of the self-service because no one came to welcome us, no one showed us where the area dedicated to the picnic was and no one told us how we should have organized ourselves to proceed with the baskets. But perhaps even here in the name of autonomy it is up to the customer to ask the restaurant owner if and when they will receive their meal. I am pleased that someone found hospitality, family and friendship, we were not even worthy of the directions to our table. The “discount” of two euros was granted to me after I kindly asked three times if since we were bringing dessert we could have a price adjustment not using the desserts included in the basket. I had to ask for an answer because you boast clarity and availability but evidently not answering was convenient. Then I don’t understand what there should have been an additional cost for… Maybe for the steak knife to cut the hot and crumpled cake? I won’t answer about the rest because I am not responsible for my guests’ reviews on the quality of the food, I didn’t say anything about that and it is not the core of your poor service. About the dog: we are great animal lovers but the dirty and rather agitated dog has been gravitating towards the food the whole time, to the point of being able to lick the plate with the leftover cake. This is also very serious. But I had been careful not to mention it because the responsibility certainly does not lie with the dog. Sometimes it is perhaps wiser to take a step back and apologize, so unfortunately the bad impression is doubled. If you have the time and desire to respond again by getting a third face, go ahead, I have wasted enough of my time so I will leave you the last word without any problems. Many thanks to you Valeria

09/11/2025: We went with friends to try batarö... a local specialty that they've been making for a long time. We parked in front of the restaurant... The table for thirteen was ready, simple and tidy. We each chose what to eat and dined. The only concern here was the room was a bit noisy, but the owner told us it was a new room that had just been added and they were finishing up the construction... A pleasant evening. The staff came and went to serve us but weren't intrusive. They asked if everything was okay, and then came the dessert... in addition to homemade cakes, there were two stuffed batarö, one with Nutella and cream and the other with ice cream and cream... wonderful, it made me want to eat them both... but it was too much... we'll try again for an afternoon snack next time. Easy access and good accommodations... a very nice place and very kind staff... In short, a wonderful evening and a great choice... "Beautiful eyes" will be happy 🙊🙉🙈 We'll definitely be back...

10/10/2025: Worker's menu for €12: pasta, Coke, and cover charge. Unfortunately, the worst carbonara (on the menu) ever. Overcooked to perfection, bacon barely cooked—a disaster, I'd say. Move on.

10/11/2025: A simple yet charming setting, where you can enjoy excellent river fish fried to perfection. The torta fritta (fried fish cake) is among the best I've ever tasted, and the cured meats are excellent. All this is topped off with the extremely helpful and friendly service.

17/08/2025: Despite my widespread ignorance, I often went to get pizza to go, because pizza is really good. Then the ignorance thermometer reached intolerable levels, and so I thought it's better if they eat the pizza themselves.

26/07/2025: Thin and wide pizza, well-cooked and easy to digest. The rustic location is secluded among the hills, with ample parking. Not romantic, but very suitable for groups. The service is discreet, but when full, waiting times can be long.

13/08/2025: Perhaps the most beautiful summer venue if you're staying in the city. Located beneath the historic walls of the public promenade, it extends along the length of the square, accessible from the end of Corso Italia or from the Faxhall parking lot. Divided into two areas, a pizzeria/restaurant and a lounge serving aperitivo and after-dinner drinks, often featuring themed evenings and DJs. The food and cocktails are of the highest quality. The young staff and well-maintained location include awnings in case of rain and plants to protect from the summer heat. LED lighting highlights the splendid historic walls. Disabled access and impeccable restrooms are available.

06/07/2025: Siamo tornati in questo locale per la seconda volta. Il posto è datato, non vi aspettate una reggia, ma sa di casa, di famiglia. I gestori sono cordiali e competenti, abbiamo mangiato pesce entrambe le volte e… che dire, per essere a San Michele di Morfasso siamo al top! Ho letto varie recensioni negative su questo posto e mi chiedo una cosa: le persone che vengono qui, in questo paesino di 100 abitanti, che tipo di locale si aspettano? Abbiamo mangiato ostriche a Forte dei Marmi? No e non cercavamo neanche questo. Cercavamo di passare una serata al fresco, mangiando bene in un posto tranquillo e alla mano, e così è stato!
