10/07/2025: Eine einfache Trattoria im guten Sinn. Wer sich für die typische Küche der Region interessiert und nicht auf Pizza oder Spaghetti bolognese fixiert ist, kann hier interessante Erfahrungen machen. Sehr guter Schinken, gute Salami, ganz schlicht auf einem Papier dargeboten und dazu Gnocco fritto, frittierte, luftig aufgeblähte Teiglinge als Beilage, sehr lecker - daran könnte man sich bei kleinem Hunger satt essen. Als zweites hatten wir auch ein typisches Gericht der Region, dessen Namen ich mir leider nicht notiert habe. Es war einfach, lecker und sättigend.
04/07/2025: Invitato a pranzo da colleghi ho trovato questa osteria molto "genuina" in tutti i suoi aspetti, in primis i gestori e personale molto attenti ai clienti, gentili ed ospitali. La cucina anch'essa fatta di ottime materie prime locali; ho assaggiato un ottimo gnocco fritto con salumi e formaggi e poi buoni i ravioli proposti con diversi condimenti.

10/09/2025: If you leave a restaurant feeling full and satisfied, it means you don't need to go to a Michelin-starred restaurant. Here, you spend little but eat a lot and well, from the entree to the coffee in a rustic, antique setting, all topped off by the friendly staff. I'll definitely be back.
10/09/2025 - And we're back, of course. Five stars aren't enough, so I stand by my review and would like to improve it. Today, macaroni with wild boar sauce (super good), vegetable tart with creamy gorgonzola and crispy onion (ditto), and a classic tiramisu to finish.

19/02/2026: I should point out that the prices of the cured meats, or even the possible samples, weren't displayed in the shop.
It was therefore truly sad to discover on the receipt as soon as we left that there was a charge for these unsolicited samples that the owner kept forcing us to order, without any indication from us, so much so that we were truly disgusted.
If a sample of salami had been honest, we would have gladly paid for it if only he had been fair to us. Instead, we still paid (with almost €100 spent) for a nauseating "salami salad" of samples without realizing it until we were outside the shop 🫤🫤🫤
The owner was very, very dishonest, and we were very, very disappointed 🙁

16/02/2026: A refined atmosphere, excellent service, and delicious sandwiches that invite you to choose. I also tried the pizza, which was thin and well-topped; I wasn't expecting it (though I really enjoyed it).
The prices may be a bit high for the location (Rivergaro), but they're in line with the food and service.
Recommended.

03/01/2026: We would like to express our appreciation for the kindness of the staff, who, despite the packed restaurant, welcomed us, found us a table, and served us quickly. The piadinas and stew were excellent. Highly recommended.
02/01/2026: We stopped by for a break and were greeted impeccably. The place is well-kept and pleasant, with an atmosphere that instantly makes you slow down. We ordered a mulled wine, and it was a wonderful surprise: fragrant, balanced, and perfectly spiced. One of the best I've ever tasted.
The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. A place you'll want to return to, especially on cold days when a good glass of wine can truly change your mood.

14/12/2025: They serve traditional Piacenza dishes. The charcuterie platter and ravioli are excellent. The amaretto semifreddo is also very good. We didn't try the meat.
A pleasant, simple, and informal place.
20/10/2025: After a lovely stroll through Rigolo Chiesa, searching for chestnuts to celebrate autumn, on the way home we stopped at Trattoria dell'Ago. A family-run establishment, run with simplicity. The impeccable cured meats and cheeses are a must-try; followed by a plate of tortelli, with a choice of flavors, all accompanied by Gutturnio and Ortrugo. See you soon!
