After six years, I've returned to Osvaldo's, and I must say my opinion has improved compared to the past. The pizza remains average, especially when eaten while still hot. The dough is thin, which isn't my cup of tea, but I understand it's in line with Piacenza's tastes, so it makes sense that it hasn't changed much over the years. The real difference compared to my previous experience is the toppings, which I found much more successful and capable of enhancing the overall flavor of the pizza. I tried the Piacentina DOP for the first time, which I highly recommend. The tiramisu was also very good, with a homemade flavor, as it should be. Regarding the service: the youngest member of the staff was extremely kind, and his presence made the evening more enjoyable. My colleagues, on the other hand, could perhaps be a little more cheerful—they seemed a bit dull—but overall, they were still helpful. I really appreciated the fact that they let us stay past closing time without making us feel bad. Ultimately, Osvaldo remains a good choice for a dinner in the city center, just steps from Piazza Cavalli, perhaps paired with an evening stroll when temperatures permit. An experience that has certainly improved compared to the past.

A simple, yet well-organized, clean, and tidy restaurant. Excellent, plentiful food at moderate to low prices. There's an à la carte menu and a daily special. The pizza is also very good. Exceptional staff. Fast and impeccable service. Open 7 days a week. Definitely recommended.

During a trip to Piacenza on a rainy day, after much searching for a good restaurant (few were open), we found this one. We obviously didn't book, but they offered us a slightly cramped spot. The dishes we ordered were truly exquisite. 🙌 The service was good and fast, but the waitress's attitude was a long face, something we'll never forget.

If you're looking for a pizzeria with good restaurant fare, Osvaldo's is a safe bet: the menu doesn't change frequently, but it's a reliable choice, and it also features traditional Piacenza dishes. Don't forget to try the pizza, or at least the schiacciata di Baden!

I had lunch there as a couple, without any major expectations. We had a side dish, which was good and unpretentious, and two pizzas. The pizzas were excellent, but nothing that justifies the €12-13 price tag for standard, uncooked pizzas. I asked for €0.50 for water, and they brought us €0.75, in an unmeasured jug, and we didn't even notice... Average service. There's room for improvement.
