22/09/2025: I absolutely recommend this place! The ambiance is wonderful in the old town; with a gentle breeze, you'll want to sit there forever. Giovanni makes his own "spritz" with lime and mint; we drank several; it's wonderfully refreshing. Be sure to ask for it; it's not on the menu. We also enjoyed two snack plates with Parma ham and mascarpone spread. With the coffee, we also had a biscuit, typical of the region, with almonds. Very delicious.

03/12/2025: I highly recommend this restaurant without hesitation. It boasts a view that, even on beautiful winter days, is marvelous and makes you gaze into infinity. The restaurant is very welcoming, not very large, warm, and elegant in its simplicity. The welcome, like the service during lunch, is both professional and kindly friendly. The menu is very interesting, with a focus on dishes that represent the best of local tradition. Cured meats are of excellent quality and seasoning. The wine list, both local and international, is extensive and has absolutely fair markups. A special mention for the dessert menu...you'll be tempted to try them all. And you should do so, they're excellent. The price is perfectly in line with the quality. A place that can easily become one of your "places of the heart." Congratulations!

02/11/2025: We returned to the Locanda after a few years. The location is still quaint and well-kept. Excellent food, friendly and competent staff, but the service is a bit slow. The portions have shrunk significantly; they're now REALLY small. Parking is a few meters away, but it's almost always limited. Prices are high, but they're in line with the service provided.

18/09/2025: Extremely delicious pizza. It's busy even during the week, and reservations are plentiful. It's somewhat hidden in a private residential area. Overall, it's reasonably priced!

15/09/2025: My boyfriend and I celebrated our anniversary at this beautiful and refined restaurant with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We chose the six-course tasting menu...everything was perfect, the dishes were excellent and delicious, the welcome was warm, and the waiters were very friendly and kind. We'll be back to try other dishes and I absolutely recommend it.

15/09/2025: An elegant and very welcoming restaurant, impeccable service. Everything is perfect. The owners are very courteous and attentive. Nothing is left to chance; everything is carefully monitored and managed. Excellent, high-quality food, from the traditional cured meats and raw fish, to the wonderful coppa piacentina cut at the table, to the salami, but also the nettle ravioli and the amazing foie gras escalope in Sauternes with caramelized pear. Every dish, meat or fish, is truly delicious. Last but not least: their vanilla ice cream is a true delight. I've been going to this restaurant for years, and it's always a guarantee. Congratulations!

Refined dishes and excellent ingredients, the desserts are amazing...highly recommended. I returned today and I confirm the excellent review. The best seafood restaurant in the Piacenza area.

03/11/2025: A remarkable experience in a beautiful location. Despite its large size and large seating capacity, the restaurant, even though it's called a trattoria, stands out for its elegance, impeccable service, and high-quality restaurant prices. We appreciated the attention to detail and the appropriate timing for a holiday lunch. Upon entering, you're struck by the immense open kitchen, bustling with chefs and hard-working staff. Continuing, you enter one of two beautiful dining rooms, with tables spaced just the right distance apart for comfort. The menu, while not extensive, focuses on traditional meat and freshwater fish dishes. Since it was our first visit, it was difficult to choose, as all the dishes were tempting and we wanted to try everything. We opted for meat dishes, promising to return to try the fish menu. Although we imagined the cured meats would be exceptional, we chose the guinea fowl salad with mustard, red apple, currants, and hazelnuts. A perfect choice: the sweetness of the meat paired perfectly with the acidity of the apple and currant, while the hazelnuts added the missing crunch. The helpfulness and kindness of the staff allowed us to enjoy a second course of first courses: the classic pisarei e fasò, here enhanced with sausage, and an excellent maccheroncino al torchio with porcini mushrooms, chanterelles, and pumpkin cream. While we played it safe with the pisarei, with the maccheroncini we were impressed by the deliciousness of the pasta al torchio, its perfect texture and chew, as well as the intense flavors of these autumn fruits. An elegant and delicious dish at the same time. The second course did not disappoint either: baked goose leg with potatoes. We were told that the geese come from a farm in Mortara, where the animals are fed only grain in the wild. I don't remember ever tasting such tender, juicy, and flavorful poultry. Like all main courses, this dish is expensive, but the quality of the ingredients fully justified it. The desserts also deserve a mention: we enjoyed a very good three-flavor tiramisu. Lunch was accompanied by a Gutturnio superiore from the La Tosa winery; the wine list is rich with excellent wines, including from outside the region. In conclusion, a lunch at the Cattivelli family is worth the trip, perhaps even in warmer weather to enjoy the beautiful summer terrace. Everything is taken care of down to the smallest detail, and the service is attentive and friendly. The price is substantial, but the quality and service fully justify it.
