A place in the best Venetian tradition, the owner and staff are very kind, welcoming and professional. It's not cheap but the food is very very good, you will have an excellent experience of excellent food and excellent wine if you decide to stop at Ignazio's.

Trattoria nel cuore di sestriere S.Polo: ambiente elegante e confortevole con un bel dehor da sfruttare nella bella stagione .
Menu corto, per nulla turistico.
Abbiamo iniziato con:
Scampi su fondi di carciofo : lo scampo era un po’ troppo “tenace” al morso.
L’antipasto misto caldo di mare molto buono: sarda in saor, capesante al forno (un po dura ), uova di seppia, scampo e insalata di piova (molto tenera e gustosa).
Buonissimo l’antipasto di verdure miste .
Abbiamo poi proseguito con un filetto di orata agli agrumi su letto di finocchi (pesce tenero) ed i tagliolini con Granseola (molto buona la pasta ).
Servizio cortese ed attento.
Prezzi onesti per Venezia: 24 euro l’ antipasto misto di pesce, 22 il filetto di Orata.

Excellent restaurant in the heart of Venice. It is a historic place in the Veneto, a corner of the past. The service is excellent and attentive. The food is delicious. The scallops and the frying were excellent, absolutely delicious. To try.

The reviews depend on the writer and place in time, so....
Food was fresh and very well prepared, tasty!
The service was very good, 20 min to prepare at late evening time, on Saturday night, with half of the tables in use.
Waiter patient, pleasant, helpful.
Restroom area could use attention.
Also the overall cleaningness.
The atmosphere was what time in a restaurant in Venice should be.

Very refined and intimate environment, high quality service, traditional quality food both fish and meat, extensive wine list and very good house red wine, excellent value for money considering the high quality of the place. Ideal internal garden in good weather, away from the confusion. We will definitely be back!

We found this little restaurant by accident one afternoon as we were heading back to our usual apartment. We stopped for lunch and found the place thronging with local business people having lovely steaming plates of risotto! After that we started coming at night and have been loving it for many years. The owner, servers and food are outstanding. And there is a charming private garden to enjoy delicious, fresh seafoods. This is old world charming Venetian dining...at its best.
