23/11/2025: We visited this restaurant in Assisi yesterday and had a truly pleasant experience. The restaurant is well-maintained, welcoming, and conveniently located: just steps from the center and very close to the Matteotti parking lot, making it easy to get there. Despite the late hour, the host—the owner of the restaurant—was extremely helpful and prepared a variety of dishes for us, carefully adapting each course to our dietary needs. A rare, attentive, and genuinely courteous service. Good food, a relaxed atmosphere, and a truly welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended!

07/01/2026: Besides a truly charming location right in the historic center of Città della Pieve, we had a truly wonderful meal. The staff were attentive and friendly, the atmosphere was truly pleasant, and the food was delicious. The wine list was also excellent.

04/01/2026: Unfortunately, my experience at Tempio del Gusto was extremely disappointing. The restaurant presents itself with gourmet ambitions, but the substance is almost entirely lacking. We ordered a truffle pasta dish that was clearly watered down and flavorless, followed by a dessert that was aesthetically pleasing but tasteless. The worst, however, came at checkout. The cashier had no idea what we had consumed, and I had to list the dishes myself. The scene became ridiculous when, after a rough hand recount on a calculator, an error of €10 was discovered to my disadvantage. Once I pointed out the mix-up, the difference was hastily refunded to me in cash. To complete this picture of total disorganization, I was not issued a receipt. From a restaurant that aims for certain levels and prices, such amateurish and opaque management is unacceptable. We won't be returning.

04/01/2026: Arriving without a reservation, I was clearly told there would be a wait. I decided not to give up and patiently lingered inside, near the door, where I could see how quickly and efficiently they served the tables, all of which were occupied. Meanwhile, they found time to hang my coat, offer me a drink several times, and let me look at the menu. Once seated, I chose a tasting menu, based on local produce: from the amuse-bouche to the coffee (served with meringues, amaretti, and miniature desserts), I found everything excellent. Special mention goes to the appetizer and the first course, with truffles, with their unmistakably intoxicating aroma. The service was attentive, the price was appropriate for the quality of the food, and the courtesy shown to customers, even those like me, who were just passing through.

We had polenta with classic ragù and wild boar ragù, pappardelle with porcini mushrooms, meat with chicory, fruit, and dessert...all delicious! The prices were reasonable for the generous portions served. Great service; despite the crowds, we didn't have to wait forever between courses. The staff was very friendly and attentive! I recommend this place!

Perhaps the portions of some dishes are small, like the rice flan and the truffle pasta dish. But I had the tortellini in broth, and the broth was fantastic. I would return.

It overlooks Trevi Square and is a small place, a bit cramped inside, but there's also outdoor seating in the square for the summer. We arrived early and it filled up quickly; reservations are recommended. The staff were welcoming and friendly, the prices were fair, and the portions were generous. We ordered bruschetta, cured meats, and pasta dishes. Everything was excellent, especially the truffle stringozzi, which I highly recommend.

05/12/2025: What a wonderful restaurant! While searching for gluten-free options, this place popped up, and it was definitely the best choice. The risotto is spectacular. We returned for dinner as well and tried the tartare, croquettes, and cod. The portions aren't enormous, but the quality is exquisite. Daniele's service was impeccable. Highly recommended if you're ever in Assisi.

Not only that, but the staff has remained the same for decades. The menu ranges from raw seafood, appetizers, handmade first courses, and fish or meat main courses, always with a unique touch tied to the season: artichokes, truffles that speak of the region, and traditional Umbrian desserts.

01/01/2026: An inn nestled in the green Umbrian hills near Montefalco, with an adjoining guesthouse. Found completely by chance, it turned out to be a huge stroke of luck. Welcoming, intimate, very rustic and warm, the restaurant proved to be an incredible refuge on a bitterly cold New Year's Eve evening, offering a rich and unique à la carte menu drawing on local specialties. We thoroughly enjoyed every dish and were delighted by the attentive and courteous staff, who were incredibly helpful and attentive to the needs and schedules of each table. The price was completely in line with the service and quality of the dishes offered. The panettone, of course, homemade with all-natural and local ingredients, with creams, recommended for dessert, was so good that we purchased one separately at the end of the dinner. Worth noting was the great humanity and sensitivity shown during an unpleasant situation between a couple at a nearby table. With great tact and delicacy, a very subtle intervention was implemented, which completely resolved the situation. I take my hat off to the attentive service from the owner/chef and the staff. Overall, therefore, a 10+++ rating. Not much to report, but a truly delightful discovery. Congratulations, well done!

18/01/2026: Dining at Coccorone was a wonderful experience. The atmosphere is welcoming and meticulously maintained, and the highlight is undoubtedly the open fireplace where the food is grilled. The staff is truly kind, professional, and affable. The food is exquisite: the cardoon parmigiana was an unexpected discovery, with its sublime sauce. I also highly recommend the tender meat, the gnocchi with goose ragù, and the scrambled eggs with truffles, tasty and quite generous. I had a truly wonderful time; it was a true pleasure. In my opinion, the prices are commensurate with what's on offer.

The place is beautiful, meticulously designed, with a warm and elegant atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. We began by sharing an appetizer of hand-sliced ​​wild-caught prosciutto with torta al testo: simply sublime, excellent ingredients showcased with great respect. For main courses, we chose veal cheek with Sagrantino glaze and duck confit: dishes impeccable in both flavor and presentation. Authentic cuisine, refined but never artificial, with true and profound flavors. We also thoroughly enjoyed sampling their artisanal bread accompanied by an extraordinary olive oil, further demonstrating their attention to quality. A special mention goes to the wine cellar, truly one-of-a-kind: for wine lovers, a visit is a pure emotion. The service was on par with everything else: the staff was knowledgeable, professional, and welcoming, making guests feel truly pampered. A place that's more than just a restaurant, but a true experience. We'll definitely be back.
