23/05/2025: I have had the pleasure of going to lunch and dinner at Da Fagiolino since I could hold a fork, in Cutigliano, in the heart of the Pistoia Mountains, and I can say without a doubt that it is always an unforgettable experience. This restaurant is a true gem that encompasses the beauty of Tuscan cuisine, offering typical dishes prepared with passion and authenticity. The Tuscan cuisine here is simply exceptional. Each dish tells a story of tradition, with a modern touch that makes it even more special. From handmade macaroni with hare sauce, to Tuscan crostini, crostone, to cantucci served with vinsanto, each course is an explosion of flavors that celebrates fresh and genuine local products. The dishes are cooked with skill and love for tradition, but also with great attention to the quality of the ingredients. An element that makes this trattoria even more special is the hospitality of the family that runs it. Paola, the mother, and her daughter Diletta, are the true soul of Da Fagiolino. Their warm welcome and impeccable service make every guest feel at home. It is clear that they are passionate about their work, and every member of staff I have had the pleasure of interacting with has been incredibly courteous and helpful. I grew up with the traditions of Da Fagiolino, and since I was a child I have been fortunate enough to be able to taste their cuisine. Every time I return, the experience is more and more special. It is a place that never ceases to amaze, where every dish is a memory and a new discovery. The familiarity and authenticity of the place are truly unparalleled. The atmosphere of the restaurant is intimate and welcoming, with a rustic touch that perfectly fits the high Tuscan mountains. All this is accompanied by a selection of fine wines from the area and beyond, which perfectly enhance each dish. I highly recommend visiting Da Fagiolino to anyone who wants to taste true Tuscan cuisine in a familiar and genuine environment. It is the ideal place for those looking for authenticity, quality and a service that makes you feel like part of the family. 15/05/2025: We had dinner and stayed at this inn last week. Excellent dinner, every course was prepared to perfection, from tagliolini ai dormienti to tripe alla fiorentina to livers in the net, to grilled pigeon to desserts. The service was also very good. Balanced prices. Good morning breakfast. I renew the compliments made in person.

15/05/2025: We were in this magnificent place during the April 24/25 long weekend, coming from Rome. Magnificent place and unique food. A praise for the meat 1.2 of meat absolutely a butter. There would be other wonderful things to say but it is better that you go in person and then you will see..... Compliments to all of you

05/05/2025: Égal et excellent depuis des années.spécialiste de pâtes fraîches aux cèpes , les meilleurs antipasti de la région, J ai pris un mix de viandes frits’, Nous avons rajouté des artichauts frits Pour finit ,vu le repas, nous nous sommes contentés de cantucci trempés dans du vino santo .

04/05/2025: A magnificent place. Nice location with nice view. Kind and attentive service. But above all we ate very well. The cappellacci filled with mascarpone and with truffle shavings were fabulous. The pasta with meat sauce bought for the children was excellent Rich list of wines, taken Bolgheri gratimacco and the burnt really delicious. Lucky whoever goes there

05/05/2025: Place visited for a ceremony and with an unusual temperature for the time of year; certainly in moments of greater heat and absence of rain it will be much more enjoyable. The restaurant has a very large room inside a glass veranda which allows a view of every surrounding promontory and the lake next to it. The food, refined but respectful of traditions, manages to be the protagonist: very generous and tasty portions, perfectly balanced between them. Side note: the 4 stars for the environment refer to the internal room which, thanks to the presence on Sundays, had a very high number of diners such as to prevent the understanding (sometimes) of the words exchanged at my table. All this is understandable, but certainly with more space between tables and an opening of the veranda (I presume with milder temperatures and towards summer) it can be mitigated. Despite this little thing, great praise for the service which has always been impeccable and capable of serving anyone without too many waits as well as recommending the correct quantity of courses. Very kind!

20/04/2025: Excellent food at reasonable prices, friendly staff. Comfortable environment especially in summer where a few hours of relaxation in the cool is required, away from the chaos of the city.

21/05/2025: Delicious food at a fair price! The atmosphere is typically Italian and very harmonious. The service is perfect! When you are in Pistoia or nearby, look for this place for dinner.

18/05/2025: What probably explains the very mixed reviews for this restaurant is that you have to be very careful what you order. The carciofi fritti are fabulous. So is the bread, prosciutto, olives, olive oil. But the verdure ‘da orto’ haven’t seen a garden in quite some time and were also burnt. The special of chicken and rabbit was poorly cooked and poor quality. Looking around, the traditional Tuscan tomato soup would be a good choice and any of the cheeses, charcuterie. The wine is also excellent. But tbh, there are many better choices in Pistoia.

27/05/2025: Very fine cooking: risotto especially good but the white fagiolini are also fabulous. Roast chicken excellent. Wonderful olive oil that they are famous for. We agree with other reviewers that the selection of Tuscan wine is first rate and exceptionally fairly priced. Visit their nearby deli for picnic stuff and also good selection of wine. We went back twice for the food. Service can be a bit haughty. But no one can be nice to customers all the time. A small price to pay for cooking of this quality.

20/05/2025: Siamo stati a pranzo più volte e ci siamo trovati sempre bene Cibo di ottima qualità porzioni abbondanti servizio cordiale e veloce . Per non parlare dei dolci top ! Consigliatissimo

19/05/2025: Mi ci hanno portato degli amici. Appena entrato ho riscontrato subito un'atmosfera accogliente, informale....come se ci fossi già stato... Personale disponibile e attento. Ottima la cucina e i piatti gustosi ed equilibrati. L'attesa delle portate è nella norma, senza ritardi. L'ambiente è circondato da cartelli e quadri ironici e simpatici , il bagno degli uomini è tutto un programma, appena entri incominci a ridere 🤣🤣 davvero geniale chi lo ha arredato 🤣🤣 . Ci ritornerò sicuramente 👍🏻

01/05/2025: Trattoria con gusti veri toscani e con salumi freschi e abbondanti. Polenta della casa con fughi porcini deliziosi. Serviti in modo veloce e attento. Grazie torneremo sicuramente

24/04/2025: Personale gentilissimo e attento, ottima qualità delle materie prime utilizzate. Ottima opzione per chi si trova nei dintorni per visitare il Parco di Pinocchio a Collodi.

21/04/2025: Oggi a pranzo sono stato, con la mia signora, da Nerone. Ottimo pranzo. Ambiente accogliente. Da tantissimi anni conosco questa trattoria, di nome, perchè quando si va a visitare uno dei paesi della Svizzera Pesciatina, le passiamo sempre davanti. Però non c'ero mai stato. Ho fatto un'esperienza piacevole in tutti i sensi. Ci tornerò molti volentieri. Vittorio Barbieri da Lucca.

27/04/2025: Great place! Dining room filled with Italians, no tourists with the exception of us. Great local food. One of the best gluten free pizzas my wife ever had. For appetisers, main courses and deserts there are also many gluten free options. Very friendly staff. Lovely outside area and terrace next to a little stream. Very much worth the beautiful drive up the hill. Would highly recommend.
