31/05/2026: Excellent lunch in terms of quality, quantity, and service. We've been there many times and it's never disappointed. The setting is also superb, in the heart of the Svizzera Pesciatina. Highly recommended! We've been back, and I can confirm everything above!

25/05/2026: We had a wonderful time at Sandrino's. The set menu included a porcini mushroom first course, a hare first course, followed by wild boar stew with olives and steak. Everything was wonderful.

20/08/2026: Had dinner by chance one evening in August. The octopus was exceptional, along with the marinated vegetables and salad, both delicious and flavorful. Don't miss the truly excellent dessert.

20/08/2026: An exceptionally pleasant pub. It creates a fantastic evening atmosphere in a narrow street in Pistoia. The food is delicious. We ordered three kinds of pasta – "rabbit, mussels, and boletus." Delicious. It's hard to choose a winner. Unfortunately, we had to quickly evacuate because of a storm brewing. I recommend this place without hesitation.

11/08/2026: I had dinner at Locanda alla Capitale del Popolo, and the experience was simply perfect from start to finish. The food is excellent and top-quality, with a more than fair price-quality ratio. You can immediately taste the authenticity and attention to detail: we started with an amazing entrée of prosciutto, artichokes, and incredibly flavorful dried schiacciatine. The first courses are exceptional, especially because the pasta is strictly homemade. To top it off, the zuccotto is superb, strictly artisanal. The atmosphere is cool, with excellent air conditioning that makes you feel truly at home, and the atmosphere manages to be both retro and elegant at the same time. The icing on the cake that gives the place a unique and inimitable touch? The super iconic phrases hanging around! Plus, I loved the fact that they are super pet-friendly, welcoming our four-legged friends with such warmth. I would definitely return and recommend it to anyone looking for a special place in Pistoia. Absolutely 5 stars!

21/08/2026: Terrible experience, I'm vegan. The only thing I could eat was a pappa al pomodoro (honestly, it was good), a meager portion because it was among the appetizers. There was nothing else, not a first course, not even a side dish, and dessert wasn't even an option. Is it possible in 2026 that you can't provide a meal to someone who happens to be passing by and wants something to eat? I want to point out that I wasn't looking for them; we were simply sheltering from a bad storm, and it was the only restaurant in the area.

11/08/2026: Typical local dishes at unbeatable prices and quality, and superb service and attention. We really enjoyed eating lunch and dinner at this restaurant; highly recommended. The meats, pasta, and porcini mushrooms are incredible. The waitress speaks Spanish. We loved it!!

25/07/2026: We stopped in for a quick lunch. It wasn't easy to find a table for nine people, but they were super accommodating. Everything was delicious. The fried mushrooms are highly recommended.

23/08/2026: I visited last night with my family of 8. The service from the waitress is second to none. We ordered different dishes which were very good, our ever the 2 steaks that were ordered for myself and son-in-law were very poor, I fact I’d go as far as to say probably the worst steaks I’ve had. They were tough, and chewy, I even had trouble cut through mine, which at €39 I wouldn’t have expected. It was so tough I couldn’t even chew most of it which I left. The waitress did ask what was wrong and I did explain, expecting the manager to come over to apologise, but disappointing ly nobody did. We were so disappointed that we just asked for the bill and left.

04/08/2026: First of all, congratulations to the restaurant: the overall experience was very pleasant. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the quality of the ingredients is evident. The pasta was good, although the sauce was slightly dry and not perfectly blended. The zucchini flowers were tasty, but a little too greasy for my taste. The meat was very tender. On the other hand, the apple tart was truly excellent: fragrant, well-balanced, and a perfect end to the meal. Overall, it's a restaurant worth a visit and one I would recommend, with just a few small details that could be improved. I would definitely go back!
