09/11/2025: The antipasto was superb, including the delicious peposo, a dish known for its main courses. The tagliolini with truffle was delicious. The sliced ​​Cinta Senese steak was very good, and the beef was good for a Tuscan dish, but nothing special. But rightly so, you'd pay more for that. Excellent value for money, and these days, that matters a lot. We'll definitely be back.

We had regional wine with our meal, which was excellent. Highly recommended. An absolute must if you're in the area.

18/10/2025: A beautiful location nestled in an endless olive grove; you dine under a pergola overlooking the greenery, and it's truly charming to dine at sunset. The waiters are friendly and attentive despite the large number of customers, even on a Monday.

12/10/2025: Very nice atmosphere, spectacular wine selection. We had two appetizers (an excellent trio of porcini mushroom tastings), a Maremma steak weighing just over 1200g (disappointing due to its incorrect cooking, overcooked meat, stringy pulp, and inedible outer layers), a decidedly microscopic dessert, a good Bolgheri for €27, and two bottles of water: we spent €178! Definitely poor value for money!

Throughout the year, they also offer seasonal themed menus, such as those featuring pumpkin or mushrooms, which are always tasty and thoughtful. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, rustic enough to make you feel right at home. The service is attentive and courteous. Don't miss the cooked shoulder tortelli with truffle butter!

08/09/2025: Quality and goodness: We dined here while in Risignano. The sunset view was phenomenal. The dishes, from the appetizer (a good portion given the quality of the ingredients), to the first courses (where instead of the mezze maniche we received a tube with mushrooms, a new experience), to the superior house wine, and the music selection, which was excellent for us. Very nice place.

09/10/2025: Beautiful restaurant with a fabulous terrace, we were there on a Sunday in September, taking a walk through the wonderful village of Bolgheri... everything very good, and a stunning view as a backdrop... I highly recommend it and on a positive note they have gluten free bread and pasta😍

04/10/2025: Every time we can go to Bolgheri, we stop by Granaio for lunch. Excellent food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Plus, since my daughter was born, I've been loving the idea of ​​having a play area in their garden for the kids to enjoy between courses. One of my favorite places ♥️

24/09/2025: I dined here a few nights ago with friends. The atmosphere is charming and refined, and the service is both friendly and genuine. The dishes I tried were very good, and the portions were generous, unlike many other restaurants. The prices are also reasonable, considering the quality and quantity. The free amaro at the end was a pleasant surprise, as almost no one makes it anymore. I'll definitely be back soon to try other dishes on their menu.

17/09/2025: Clean, charming place with outdoor and indoor (air-conditioned) tables. The staff is very polite, friendly, and professional. The food is unique, with well-defined flavors. I appreciate the quality of the local ingredients (such as the Vada olive oil) and the preparation. I especially appreciate the care and precision in managing my allergy to beef and all derivatives (other places don't even understand this). Well done! A place to recommend and definitely visit again.

12/10/2025: We've been coming here for many years, unfortunately, less frequently than we'd like and deserve. Kindness, professionalism, and quality food are the hallmarks of this place. We always find the wine recommendations very helpful (they'll give you the unfinished bottle in a bag, which rarely happens).

It's a shame we're not friends and can't invite each other to dinner at our homes! At Balestra, every dish is a celebration, and every recommended wine is a pleasure for the palate. One thing that saddens us is that the host is an Inter Milan fan, but the customer, with affection, forgives him for this major flaw.

29/10/2025: Excellent lunch here. Service was a little slow (but I am an American and always moving too fast!), and there were bees that bothered people eating (understandable). The food was very good and I would highly recommend people experience it!!

28/10/2025: I’m shocked at how bad this was, worst florentine steak I’ve ever had. Badly seasoned, chewy just overall BAD. Service was dismissive and cold. Please do not waste your time here.
