20/04/2026: I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, and I'm not sure whether the food or the service is better. Fantastic food served by courteous and helpful waitresses. A selection of high-quality cured meats, delicious duck à l'orange, and I also recommend trying the fantastic desserts. If you're in the area, it's a must-try.

11/05/2026: Gastronomic excellence overshadowed by an unforgivable lapse in style. ​I write this review with the regret of someone who appreciated the quality of the cuisine, but found the atmosphere ruined by at times disconcerting service. ​Although the cuisine deserves praise for its attention to raw materials, the experience was irreparably compromised by the attitude of one of the waiters. When ordering wine, he took the liberty of commenting on our choice with a comment as gratuitous as it was inappropriate: "Your choice hurt me." ​It is worth remembering that: ​Discretion is an integral part of service. An unsolicited opinion, expressed with such arrogance, is beyond the scope of a dining room professional. ​Respect for the customer is sacred. Judging someone's preferences without knowing their background, food and wine culture, or previous experience is an act of arrogance that should have no place in a restaurant of this caliber. It would also be interesting to know if the producer of the bottle we chose would appreciate his work being publicized with such disdain by the staff. The contrast was made even more stark by the presence of another employee: a paragon of elegance, politeness, and sincere cordiality, impeccable in his bearing and demeanor. A professional from whom his colleague should draw inspiration, understanding that a brash attitude may be off-putting to a certain type of superficial tourist, but is deeply irritating for those seeking an authentic hospitality experience. A real shame: the cuisine invites you to return, but a service so unfamiliar with the basics of professional etiquette strongly discourages the idea.

04/05/2026: During our holiday in Tuscany, we made a stop in Bolgheri. A small, charming village with a few shops, restaurants, and enotecas. We stopped at this restaurant with our two children. It was nice that there was a small playground where they could play while we enjoyed the view from the terrace and waited for our food. We were received very warmly, and it was great that—whereas most Italian restaurants close at 1 pm—we could simply eat there at lunchtime. We had the ravioli and lasagna. Very tasty! The wine tasted good too. In short, a nice spot to sit and eat during your visit to Bolgheri.

Friendly and welcoming staff, a clean and tidy atmosphere. Located in the central square of the former Solvay village, on the enchanting hills overlooking the sea.
