La Locanda del Pittore in Bolgheri is an authentic hidden gem in the splendid Tuscan countryside. I had the pleasure of tasting the delicious Topini della Franca, a dish that conquered my palate with its delicacy and refinement. But the real highlight was the beef bell, a dish that struck a chord with my taste buds with its tenderness and enveloping flavours. Small and very hospitable place in the splendid setting of Bolgheri. Excellent food, wide and high quality wine selection in a refined and very pleasant environment. Suitable for a romantic dinner. The price varies depending on the wines chosen. It's certainly not cheap, but what it offers is worth every penny.

I like this place. It has a nice touch to it. Some vegetables are even growing directly in front of the restaurant. The food is nice, the service attentive. It is not the cheapest place you can find, but the vibe of the place makes up for it. We do come here often.

din have a good experience with the glass of sassiciaia 2020 served here. quite sure something is wrong with the wine and it tasted muted and bland. quite sure it should not taste like this but the server say it was okay. food was alrite.

We arrived without a reservation but the girl immediately found us a table for 2 and told us that we would have to wait a little to eat but in reality it wasn't like that. We had a very good time, we ate well and the service was excellent. We will definitely be back

La Teverna del Pittore è un’ottimo posto dove poter gustare piatti toscani ottimi, dal tegliere di salumi e formaggi tipici, ai primi gustosi e decisi per finire con un dessert creato a loro gusto e fantasia che si sposa bene con il pranzo fatto. Il tutto accompagnato da dei buoni vini. Il personale è accogliente e gentile. Buon posto!

Scelto di istinto dopo aver girellato un po' prendiamo un tagliere e un piatto di bruschette, entrambi ottimi, entrambi condivisi, che accompagniamo con due calici.di un rosso di buona qualità (il.piu economico della lista). Con due caffè e un amaro ci troviamo a pagare 95 euro (100 con la.mancia). Fuori dal mondo come tutti i prezzi di un posto carino, ma senza un senso. Spero che almeno la.multa per un divieto di.sosta non segnalato fosse a tariffe standard.

A seguito di una ricerca lunghissima su dove andare a mangiare a pranzo, siamo capitati in questo ristorante che già dall'esterno all'interno cambiava connotativi...positivo? Non si sa. All'esterno apparentemente vicino ad una bettola e assolutamente non in crine con l'immagine che una persona si fa di Bolgheri: all'interno elegante e piacevole, se non fosse stato per i tavoli troppo vicini sia dietro che affianco. Spazi decisamente troppo ristretti. Al momento dell'ordinazione (due taglieri di salumi e due calici di Bolgheri DOC) ci è stato proposto dal cameriere se volessimo anche un assaggio di formaggi, non specificando nè se fosse compreso nè se fosse escluso da ciò che avessimo ordinato. Alla presentazione del conto siamo evidentemente sbiancati, poichè vero è che molte volte si paga il posto, ma non a questi livelli. 86 euro per due taglieri di salumi, due calici di vino, il coperto (3,50 euro alquanto esagerato per del pane riscaldato e non di loro produzione) e un assaggio di formaggi che si è scoperto non essere indicati da nessuna parte per la modica cifra di 18 euro. Pochissima attenzione per quanto riguarda l'informazione delle pietanze, molte cose fra cui i formaggi e il costo dei calici, non presenti nel menù all'esterno del ristorante. Tutto ciò non mette assolutamente in dubbio la qualità dei prodotti e la bontà di ciò che abbiamo mangiato, ma rimane comunque il fattore scatenante dei prezzi.
