09/05/2026: Good food, but I get better treatment at McDonald's. God forbid I asked for bread.

08/05/2026: The food was rather ordinary, nothing extraordinary, and the portions were very small. The low rating is mainly due to the presentation (I understand that the restaurant's theme is casual, unpretentious cooking, but this looked like a pasta dish that had been left in the fridge and reheated) and also to the price, which I found far too high.

11/10/2025: A very nice experience, the owner was cooking the meat over a wood fire in the large fireplace when we arrived, the bottle of red wine was already on the table and the service was very friendly! We left feeling full!

08/10/2025: Rural atmosphere, owner with a biting but engaging personality (not for everyone) Peasant cuisine can express something more: I would emphasize the homemade tagliatelle made with excellent quality flour over the industrial pasta found everywhere. Very good meat, amazing potatoes. I would replace the bagged salad with vegetables from the beautiful surrounding garden. A round of applause for the genuinely empathetic waiters.

16/04/2026: The food was excellent. My only comment is that I'd add the cost of water, wine, and coffee to the menu. €4.00 for a coffee seems excessive to me.

08/04/2026: Overpriced. It smells so bad you can't breathe. €4 for a placemat and cutlery left gathering dust in a jar. The waiter was unwelcoming... We ordered three starters, including one with mushrooms, and when we asked for cheese, he replied: "Cheese on mushrooms? If I like it, I don't see the problem..." Moving on to desserts... An apple pie that wasn't exactly fresh... All three of us tasted mold in the apples and a nice truffle cream, and when we asked if there was truffle, he replied: "Madam, don't you cook at home?" Well... There must have been an oversight in the refrigerator. Moving on to the bill, a whopping €97. We asked if we could divide it by three, and the very kind waiter replied... "Don't you know how to do math?" So, what are you doing in there?"

17/01/2026: A true old-fashioned Tuscan restaurant, and I say this as a plus. The food is truly good, the service is fast, and the prices are very fair. Excellent!

04/01/2026: I was there for the first time in 1990 and I'm still a customer of this restaurant today. The food is amazing and it feels like home.

27/07/2025: Eravamo in 4 e abbiamo preso antipasto misto per tutti , 1 bistecca x 3 (1,500 Kg. circa), 1 filetto al pepe verde, funghi porcini di contorno, 2 dolci, vino della casa (tot. 185€). Il personale è cortese e il prezzo è nella media, niente da eccepire. Sinceramente però, da un locale blasonato come questo mi aspettavo qualcosa di più. Cioè, ho mangiato una bistecca come molte altre, buona, ma niente di speciale. Bello il posto fuori che hanno sul retro.

27/07/2025: La trattoria Sanesi è stata una bella esperienza culinaria. Abbiamo preso le pappardelle al cinghiale:sugo molto buono e papardelle artigianali; un buon piatto. Per secondo un misto griglia:piccione,rostinciana e groppa;la rostinciana solo per gola,buona ma niente di che il piccione e la groppa buonissimi la groppa saporita e tenerissima con il giusto grasso che la rendeva succulenta il piccione buono e ben cotto. Avevano una vasta varietà di dolci ma noi abbiamo preso i classici cantuccini con vin santo..un buon vinsanto e anche i cantuccini buoni. La cameriera è stata molto cortese,gentile e accogliente attenta ad ogni nostra necessità. Il locale nonostante fosse pieno di clienti ha una bella atmosfera dove non si avverte confusione. Il prezzo è stato giusto per quello che abbiamo mangiato. I parcheggi non mancano tutti gratis nelle vicinanze. consigliatissimo. Per chi non è di Lastra a signa poi,essendo la trattoria proprio nel centro del paese, si può fare una bella passeggiata per visitare questo piccolo centro storico.

02/05/2026: Very disappointed with the service and the price. It's very expensive and the restaurant feels like a cafeteria. Too expensive for what you get. 3 euros per person for the cover charge, and you have to pay for the bread too.

21/04/2026: From the menu brought to your table, only a few dishes are actually prepared, and you only know when the waiter tells you. The waiter was very stern, and didn't even ask if I wanted wine. The chicken liver crostini were only good for foreigners, the zucchini were swimming in oil, and the braciole remade with tomato sauce were tough and the tomatoes were of poor quality. The cost was €40.

15/06/2025: Buena ubicación. servicio razonable. muy ruidoso. comida mediocre. tenía costillas de cerdo que eran posiblemente las peores que he comido. embutidos italianos estaban bien, pero nada más allá de lo que uno compraría en un supermercado. la t - hueso / fiorentina también era apenas mediocre y yo diría que es un insulto al nombre del plato Mejor prueba algo menos turístico

12/06/2025: La vista era la mejor que había tenido en un restaurante! Solicite una mesa junto a la ventana al hacer su reserva o llegue temprano, espere afuera junto a la puerta principal y luego corra y tome una mesa junto a la ventana. La comida era buena pero no excepcional. Lo que no me gustó fue que no pudimos elegir el tamaño de nuestra bistecca toscana. Nos enseñaron un trozo de carne y cuando le dije a la camarera que era demasiado grande para nosotros, ella dijo que era eso. Así que, por supuesto, era demasiado grande para nosotros y terminamos dejando un montón de carne muy cara en nuestros platos.

18/04/2026: All style, no substance. The service was rude and dismissive from the start. I ordered a cheese omelette, there was barely any cheese in it. The salad was thrown on the plate completely dry, no vinaigrette, no effort. It came with a mini loaf of bread… and nothing else. No butter, no jam, just dry bread. The €4.50 espresso showed up in a tea cup. Trying to be fancy, but the coffee itself was genuinely bad. This place feels like it exists for photos, not for actual dining. Save your money and keep walking.

09/03/2026: Lucca Comics season, staying in Pisa for convenience. The waiter was friendly and professional. After the appetizer, my pasta dish arrived. After a couple of bites, I found a hair. I went in to tell the owner, but she didn't look at the plate, justifying herself by saying that everyone in the kitchen wore hairnets, and didn't apologize for what had happened. We paid and ran away. Never again.

29/10/2025: Today I'm writing a new review of my favorite restaurant for several reasons, delicious food, whether it's pizza, meat..... and desserts..... good price, excellent service, semi-family run, I often go to relax and enjoy a beautiful landscape and a nice evening, with my wife or friends, last time there were 4 of us, we wanted meat, but we wanted a mix, and I must say that the waiters, even though it was off the menu, they satisfied us, what more could you want?! Now I'm organizing a dinner with work colleagues, having in addition to the summer outside in the greenery, they have a large room and a smaller one inside, in fact I have celebrated various events there over the years, birthdays and family ceremonies with convenient packages, I highly recommend it!

26/10/2025: This is our second visit to the restaurant, and the food is very good, with attention to food intolerances. Depending on the season, you can also find fresh mushrooms.

23/08/2025: I stumbled upon it by chance, but I have to say I immediately loved it. The staff is friendly and courteous, and the service is excellent. Plus, there's a small outdoor area where you can enjoy breakfast or something else in complete tranquility and away from the hustle and bustle. I really liked it. Now I return often, even if it's not in my area. 👍

12/04/2026: We stopped at this restaurant during a motorcycle tour. It's a simple exterior, but the food is excellent. The staff were friendly, and the platter and the "pastelli" were much appreciated. We'll be back.

04/04/2026: A delightful discovery! We had a delicious pizza for dinner and then discovered the delights of Ilenia's desserts. I personally recommend the sambuca tiramisu and the truly delicious cantucci. Ilenia welcomed us with extreme kindness and courtesy. We left with a huge supply of excellent cantucci. What can I say? Highly recommended! 🤩🤩🤩🤩

13/09/2025: Excellent food, unique flavors, moderate prices. Welcoming staff, excellent service. Quick service, relaxed atmosphere. The house wine was very good, and the first course with wild boar ragù was delicious. The wild boar was homemade. And all this with a beautiful view of the square. Highly recommended.

13/03/2026: The dinner was very good, the service was quick and friendly. I recommend it for a quick break if you're nearby. I enjoyed the traditional fried pork chop with a thick bone, and the seafood was delicious, even for people who've never tried it before. I recommend it.
