Welcoming staff, excellent service. Quick service, relaxed atmosphere.
The house wine was very good, and the first course with wild boar ragù was delicious.
The wild boar was homemade.
And all this with a beautiful view of the square.
Highly recommended.

Really, really bad pizza. Not even sure if you can call it a pizza when it was essentially a large cracker with a few toppings (none of which were any sort of sauce). I don’t mean to sound mean but this was certainly the worst pizza I’ve had in Italy, but honestly the worst i’ve had in quite a long time.

30/04/2026: Fantastic dinner! Even without a reservation, they welcomed us with great professionalism and warmth. We opted for fish and were delighted:
• Caponata and Octopus: Perfectly cooked and balanced flavors.
• First and Second Courses: Linguine with lobster and tuna steak, 10 out of 10.
• Desserts: Simply exquisite.
Special thanks to the staff for their advice and helpfulness. Highly recommended!

The food unfortunately was not the best. Even the tiramisu was a disappointment. Not made in the traditional way. The La Reine biscuits were too crunchy. I wouldn't mind if the prices were low but you pay a lot for the lack of quality. Also felt unwell after dining there.
23/01/2026: We ate here last night. The atmosphere was very subdued, with soft lighting and pleasant background music. We had the artichoke flan, the pici cacio e pepe, the cheek with mashed potatoes, and two different desserts...all delicious! I didn't use a knife to eat the cheek... The prices were more than reasonable. All "topped off" by a very kind owner who had already brought water for our dog in no time... Highly recommended!!!!

I was made welcome and had a wild boar rage which was what I needed at the time. I returned the night before I left for a steak which was delicious

04/01/2026: We found this restaurant by chance when we had to wait for a nearby movie, but it was a pleasant discovery.
The classic smell of grilled meat hits you as soon as you walk in!
The appetizers were delicious, the meat even tastier, and the staff were truly friendly!
Highly recommended.

04/05/2026: We stopped at this bar/restaurant for a quick bite since we were in the area, and thankfully we only stopped for an aperitivo. It's a nice place in the center of Populonia, with both indoor (few seats) and outdoor seating. Having only had an aperitivo, I can't say much, but the service wasn't the best; the staff were bickering, pushy, and unpleasant. The bill, of course, was a no-brainer: €2.50 for a coffee is unthinkable in my opinion.
A small platter, bread, two glasses of prosecco, and a coffee came to €42.

02/05/2026: A truly delicious lunch in this welcoming restaurant with a delightfully homey feel. I especially recommend the pici with ragù—I've never had anything so good. The fried chicken was also delicious, with generous portions, and the young waiter was kind and attentive. We'll definitely be back.

05/07/2026: The toilets weren't very clean, and the images inside were unacceptable! Even Google Maps refuses to publish them!! Naked men and women!! It's very difficult to let children use the toilet!!
The waiter wasn't customer-oriented towards tourists.
The meal was average. The fried vegetables were just batter and a tiny bit of actual vegetables. The prices were too high considering the quality of the food.
30/06/2026: Dinner in the courtyard at the back of the restaurant. A delightful setting, a welcoming and intimate atmosphere with strings of hanging lights, potted plants in bloom, and lime trees. As soon as you're seated, they bring you a warm schiacciatina to enjoy while you wait for your chosen dishes. Dinner features an excellent Chianina steak, tender and flavorful; cooked perfectly rare. Sides include cannellini beans in olive oil and grilled vegetables. The house wine by the glass isn't quite up to par with the dish, but you can always order a bottle. Reasonably priced. A lovely, cool evening with excellent food. I recommend.

23/10/2025: Forget the bar decor (a bit cold and uncharacteristic) and focus on the food: good and above all rich; not just the quantity, but the richness, like a pappardelle with wild boar swamped in ragù, like a mixed antipasto with Russian salad and so much veal with tuna sauce that it became a dish in itself... oh... even the pappardelle filled my stomach and served as lunch for the next day!
21/09/2025: Excellent restaurant, recently changed management, where they offer dishes from various menus, I had dinner in this place and I had a very good time, excellent meats, good first courses, exquisite platters of various qualities, upon reservation they also do Piedmontese mixed fried food, tasty desserts, fast and very friendly staff, nice place and above all tidy and clean, in short I recommend it, if you like to eat well, try it and you will not regret it, compliments to the staff.
