06/06/2025: As a foreigner, you have no business here. The owner makes you feel like you're only tolerated, and not just when you say hello. The prices are absolutely reasonable, except for the €3 per person caperto, which even applies to small children. In summary: If you're a local, you'll find an old-school restaurant that offers great value for money. As a foreigner, you'll have to wait a long time and won't even get a glance when ordering.

27/04/2025: Ottima cucina in un ambiente accogliente. Polpette alla mortadella indimenticabili e gramigna e salsiccia super. Piatti della tradizione fatti con cura e ottime materie prime. Personale giovane, molto garbato. Esperienza da ripetere, decisamente.

06/04/2025: Tornato ieri dopo un po' di tempo, ho ritrovato ottimi piatti (menzione speciale per le polpette di patate e mortadella, favolose!) e un personale attento, disponibile e molto simpatico. Bravi!

23/05/2025: Nice atmosphere, attentive and accurate service. Good fried food, dry and tasty, excellent pizza dough but what surprised us were sushi and sashimi, a real explosion of flavors.

29/03/2025: I came this Friday for lunch without a reservation. The setting was very pretty, but the atmosphere was rather cold, and a warmer atmosphere from the waiters would have been appreciated (the fact that we were the only customers certainly played a role). The dish was served quickly with decent ingredients. Perhaps a little pricey for the quality/quantity ratio, but I recommend it.

05/05/2025: Wir haben hier etwa gegen 18 Uhr Anfang Mai bei schöner Abendsonne mit Blick aufs Wasser zu Sbend gegessen. Die Atmosphäre des Restaurants war angenehm und etwas ansprechender als die anderen Nachbarrestaurants. Die Bedienung und der Service war sehr gut. Die Qualität der Speisen (insbesondere der mediterrane Fisch Vorspeisenteller) war top. Insgesamt zu empfehlen - insbesondere zu mitteleuropäischen Essenszeiten.

Abbiamo pranzato, in 4, in questo locale e ne siamo rimasti soddisfatti, in breve elenco i PRO e i CONTRO della nostra esperienza PRO: vista mare, copertura esterna con veranda di legno in stile rustico, personale educato e sempre presente ma non invadente, giusta attesa per l'arrivo dei piatti, cibo fresco e conto nella media ( in riferimento all'ambiente e alla zona ); CONTRO: niente da segnalare.

04/01/2025: Locale freddo, minimal. Sicuramente non merita la stella Michelin. Poco pesce sulla carta. Ci hanno proposto vini scarsi, prevalentemente biologici e in ogni caso andati a male (bottiglie aperte da tempo). Baccalà con crostone buono, idem gli spaghetti al tartufo. La zuppa di cozze e fagioli bocciata. Ban-ettone alla crema al caramello e’ diventato alla crema pasticciera (al palato crema all’UOVO!). 107€ per quattro CAGATELLE.

28/12/2024: Modica bellissima cittadina, offre numerosi svaghi. Questo ristorante si trova al piano alto. In inverno i posti esterni sono ovviamente chiusi ma ritengo che durante l’estate sia molto carino. Metterei all’interno qualche stufetta perché l’ambiente è un po’ freddino. L’accoglienza al nostro arrivo è stata molto piacevole e siamo stati subito serviti. Per iniziare non potevamo non assaggiare i loro cocktail che si distinguono dalle solite proposte. Potenti. Infine abbiamo optato per due primi di pasta molto buoni: mezze maniche con cime di rapa guanciale e pecorino e degli spaghetti fuori menù con gamberetti ed altri ingredienti. A seguire la scelta è stata: una portata di bollito, cotto bene e di buona qualità ma, nell’insieme, il piatto risultava un po’ stopposo. Il famoso polletto al mattone è stato all’altezza delle aspettative. Carta dei vini ottima. Qualità prezzo idem. Consigliato.

28/05/2025: So it depends on your needs, fresh and good food, environment and service like being at home and among friends, therefore creative. You will say but you pay, so I demand. Well, it made me immerse myself in the rhythms of the place, so I appreciated everything at honest prices for the average of the island.

24/05/2025: We had the very good tuna tagliata and the very good parmigiana. Instead of busiate with tuna they brought us spaghetti without asking if the change in the type of pasta was appreciated. Cold and washed out spaghetti! In the end when we paid to not give us the change he made up all sorts of things and disappeared into the kitchen. Too bad!

14/04/2025: Cibo squisito e abbondante, personale sempre attento e cordiale. Non vedo l’ora di tornarci, lo consiglio assolutamente anche per i prezzi super vantaggiosi che ha.

18/05/2025: Panino con panelle mangiato a Piazza Indipendenza Panino 🍔 ridotto di quantità sembrava un bocconcino della sfornata di mattina anche lui ha attuato la Shrinkflation . Da palermitano delusione.

24/05/2025: We ordered our takeout and it was a taste bud explosion every time. Locals come to buy their arancinas and other specialties to eat on the go. We ordered several of their dishes and were definitely not disappointed.

24/05/2025: It's a shame... the food was cold... because they brought it in a Tupperware from a kitchen that was far from the terraces... the staff... a chubby guy who was supposed to be the head waiter seemed like a mafia boss... contemptuous in an Italian way... I paid 21 euros for some fried sardines, a Raffo beer, and an arancina ragu... a bit pricey, no? Oh, and we had to wait quite a while for the food!

20/05/2025: Typical traditional dishes, beautifully cooked. Some are unique because it is not easy to cook them in restaurants. Among the first courses I recommend the spaghetti with roasted tomato and the cavati with pork sauce. It is worth trying a bit of everything. I recommend the "land dishes" cuisine because it is definitely typical and less common. Beautiful setting inside but outside is a dream, especially in the spring or summer season.

13/03/2025: Personale cortese, locale pulito e cibo molto buono rendono quest’osteria un posto in cui val la pena pranzare o cena. Pizza buonissima, e primi deliziosi.

27/02/2025: On a cold February morning we needed some warming food and good wine, so parked on Corso Umberto I to walk up to Osteria del Ponte where we chose a table for two. A good sign for us was that there were other local folk eating already. I chose the Pasta 'ncasciata (with fried aubergine, cooked ham, onion, caciocavallo cheese, and breadcrumbs) and my companion the Cavati alla Norma con ricotta salata, both of which arrived steaming hot and proved totally delicious. The portions were generous. I had a glass of Grillo wine, and we rounded off our delightful meal with a Tortino dal cuore (pie with a warm heart) with vanilla ice cream. The service was very good and when I used the toilet facilities they were spotlessly clean, though I noted for hygiene's sake that there was no toilet seat. It was a lovely experience and a week later we still recall;l our lunch there with pleasure and delight. I kept my jacket on for the lunch as the restaurant was cool inside.
