27/07/2024: Ho avuto il piacere di cenare al Ristorante Gigi Mangia, situato nel cuore di Palermo, in occasione del quarantesimo compleanno del mio migliore amico, e sono rimasto estremamente soddisfatto. Il pesce era freschissimo e preparato con grande maestria. Ogni piatto era un’esplosione di sapori. Un piatto che ci ha particolarmente colpito è stata l’arancina con frutti di mare e gambero rosso, semplicemente buonissima. Il servizio è stato impeccabile, con personale attento e cordiale. Consiglio vivamente questo ristorante a chiunque ami il pesce e desideri passare una bella serata.

05/09/2024: Skip this restaurant as a tourist! Rude service overall, only the younger staff (probably the not yet overstressed and burned out waitresses) tried to be kind, but nobody could speak english at all. Most of the fishes were frozen and tasteless. I left the restaurant hungry, because I could not eat niether the calamari, shrimp or octopus due to their bad taste. They forgot to serve some of the dishes but tried to charge them on the bill anyway. Most of the guests were italian, maybe the locals get normal service, but as a tourist it's a no go. By the way the town is lovely both in the daylight and in the night.

05/09/2024: They increased the cost and also decreased the quantity of food, furthermore things arrived at some tables and only when we asked for them did they bring them to us. To complete a chicken cutlet really poor with chips per child €15. I don't recommend it at all.

16/08/2024: Wonderful location on Piazza Vittorio with Mole Antonelliana on the left and Gran Madre on the right. Aperitif on August 15th with tourists and residents concentrated in the few places open. Excellent drinks and super Tabisca with excellent ingredients and excellent dough. Friendly, quick and courteous service. The particularity of the holiday meant that there was no Sold Out and this contributed to the 5* rating. I absolutely recommend booking, and if possible avoid the weekend where the service and cuisine situation is a little more approximate given the very high turnout on the weekend.

15/08/2024: Without reservation Seeing that we are French we were immediately presented with the QR Code to go to the French menu This helped us a lot Nice place on the main square, we ate upstairs with air conditioning! The servers were friendly and the food was very good.

26/07/2024: Felt totally invisible ! The worst place to visit in Catania! Surprisingly the food was good . My husband’s steak was delicious . My pasta Norma was too salty. The main reason I have given it one star is because the lovely lady at our hotel recommended this restaurant , so we just turned up. When we were taken to our table we were ignored for at least 15 mins. The waiters were looking at us like we were a headache ! Finally I had to get the attention of a waiter to get some water and drinks. Never will return!!!

15/08/2024: Sono venuta a conoscenza di questa osteria tramite la pubblicità che fanno suo social,che dire tutto molto buono dagli antipasti ai secondi, personale gentile e a disposizione del cliente per qualunque cosa chiedi sui piatti con tutte le spiegazioni,ottimi i prezzi e porzioni abbondanti posto che consiglio da provare assolutamente

15/08/2024: Abbiamo prenotato in questo locale per la nostra ultima sera a Palermo e vivere appieno l’atmosfera tipica della città. Siamo arrivate in orario come da prenotazione e ci siamo accomodate. Sono trascorsi circa 45 minuti prima che, dopo aver sollecitato, venissero a prenderci almeno l’ordinazione (e ci portassero almeno l’acqua). A seguito delle nostre lamentele la cena è stata servita in tempi molto rapidi e tutto era ottimo; questo è indiscutibile: porzioni abbondanti e cucina autentica. Non merita 5 stelle per la disorganizzazione generale del locale: i camerieri erano pochi e chiaramente esausti, seppure attenti a soddisfare le esigenze di tutti e a sentire le lamentele generali. Tutto si è svolto sotto l’occhio vigile della signora all’ entrata nonché proprietaria, che “dirige il traffico” e riempie i tavoli senza sosta. Capiamo che i prezzi che propongono non li sì trova più da nessuna parte, ma per fare le cose male e far attendere anche chi prenota in anticipo, sarebbe meglio rivedere l’organizzazione generale. I camerieri comunque simpaticissimi.

14/03/2024: Il migliore ristorante di noto Piatti saporiti, autentici. La cucina di una volta Eccezionali gli involtini e la pasta con la mollica di pane. Ingredienti di ottima qualità. Bravi bravissimi

04/11/2023: Great location for an incredible Sicilian meal. A cavelike restaurant with many tables it service which is second to none. Excellent wine choices with local wines front and centre. The antipasto Rustico is full of beautiful bites of loveliness (even without the meat). The pasta course of a special with greens is unbelievably lovely. The pistachio crusted tuna tasted divine. This is cooking by a real nonna and her team.

05/07/2024: This is a great restaurant tucked behind the main drag and was recommended to us. The food was delicious, staff sweet and all round a good ambience.

13/07/2024: Qualità mediocre del cibo , servizio pessimo, titolare del locale maleducato giocano a confondere sulle comande obiettivo incassare. Esperienza negativa, pur riconoscendo l’errore sulla presa della comanda si sono accordati x il silenzio litigata furibonda davanti ad una sala di persone a tavola ristorante da non consigliare

19/08/2024: A true paradise for those who know about Sicilian desserts and specialties. I went on Sunday for the first time and I had a great time, the owners even offered me an almond biscuit after breakfast. Absurdly excellent recommendation that the rotisserie I purchased for dinner! You'll see me again soon!

19/08/2024: If you are not capable of serving people it is better to only do takeaway. We often abandoned the table because we waited too long (25 minutes for a coffee and a fruit juice). Unsympathetic to the problem and not at all empathetic. In Sicilian pastry shops you don't just look for quality but also courtesy which unfortunately you have forgotten. On the same street there are nice and special places where they treat you well. Goodbye

07/08/2024: Location splendida ma davvero troppo affollato, con un impatto importante sui tempi e sul servizio. Le richieste minime come una birra o un bicchiere andavano sollecitate più volte e venivano soddisfatte con grande ritardo. 3 euro di coperto. Sconsigliato se non avete tempo da perdere...

01/08/2024: We were invited by friends to this wonderful place for dinner. Our outside table with direct view on the temples was fantastic to start with. We also appreciated the very attentive service at our table, which was much better than in most restaurants in Sicily. And food we had matched the high expectations we had: we had seafood antipasti followed by excellent pasta! Obviously, it helps if you make early reservation!
