08/12/2024: On a trip out of town with friends, unable to visit Erice due to the weather, and when it was time for lunch, we searched on good old Google. The reviews read are true! The place is welcoming and the staff are friendly and attentive. We enjoyed a rich and abundant menu from starters, to first courses and second courses, for three people; pennette with fresh tomato for the children, and swordfish with a side dish of courgettes (sadly unsuitable for me as I wasn't perfectly fit). Excellent waiting times! I will return to try the ravioli stuffed with shellfish (they looked excellent and they said they tasted great!) A place without too many pretensions but very welcoming and clean. Very good quality/price ratio. P.S. it is located on the 1st floor.

02/01/2025: I really enjoyed this restaurant where I went twice already. Sicilian cucina the sea food is superb. I enjoyed the atmosphere in the evening, it beautiful to be on holiday in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea, and enjoy a lovely dinner here

03/10/2024: Unfortunately the most disappointing restaurant experience during our Italian vacation. We sat in a kind of “side room” without a classic, pleasant restaurant atmosphere, but with an uncomfortable draft. One of the two service staff tried very hard at first, but after the first drink and food order was placed, we were literally ignored. The portions were so small that even the combination of Primi and Secondi Piatti wasn't filling. In the end we paid almost €100 for an uncomfortable evening in which we went home hungry and disappointed.

31/03/2025: Wonderful! The menu isn't very extensive, but it's a delight to eat here, and the prices are super reasonable. The pasta dish with anchovies was spectacular, plus beer, €13! The staff is also very attentive and friendly. If you visit Palermo, this is a must-visit!

La caponata dello chef è stata sublime per delicatezza, retrogusto e presentazione del piatto. L'ombrina alla palermitana cucinata perfettamente rispettando canoni di qualità e stile. 22/03/2025: Had such a fun time sitting at a large table with others we got to know. Tartare of swordfish and tuna was fabulous. The pasta with sardines in a green sauce was perfect. Enjoyed the overall experience and the food is very reasonable.

13/01/2025: Tuvimos una fantástica cena de Año Nuevo en Trattoria Tiramisù. Había un menú especial a la carta que era similar al menú habitual, pero los platos eran un poco más complejos. Todo lo que comimos estaba muy bien presentado y delicioso, cocina de pescado en su mejor momento. También había un ambiente encantador que hizo la noche aún más especial.

06/01/2025: Non ti delude mai…. Cucina ottima, accoglienza e servizio sempre al TOP, qualità eccellente, ma la cosa più importante è che tutti, dal titolare a chi serve i tavoli, svolgono il proprio lavoro con passione. Bravissimi!!

30/03/2025: He's not the Brother we knew. Mediocre service. The food is average, not up to its former fame. Price that does not at all reflect the quality they show off. Turin has lost an excellent restaurant!

17/03/2025: In past years, having lunch at Fratò was a feast for the eyes and the palate. Unfortunately, this was not the case yesterday. It seemed like they were in a hurry to close the service, prices were exaggerated. The first courses are not up to par, making mistakes with linguine with sardines is not acceptable. We won't be returning.

25/03/2025: The food was very high quality! I thought all the portions would be smaller. I was wrong. They were bigger than expected. We ate horse Florentine steak, swordfish, pork ribs (without the bone) , horse meat burger, veal burgers. Drinks was a Fischer beer and a glass of red wine. 28/02/2025: Sicilian restaurant. Refined environment. Value for money: excellent. We chose: bucatini with Palermo-style sardines (passolina and pine nuts): excellent! Asparagus risotto with prawn tartare: delicious! Sicilian cassata: super! Sicilian strudel with whole almonds and cinnamon served with scoops of vanilla ice cream: delicious! Congratulations to the owner and all the staff. We will definitely return.

14/02/2025: Great experience at Biondo Pizzeria! You got to ask beforehand for the pizzeria because the pizzeria and the restaurant are two different places. Pizzas were huge, we ordered Nuvoletta and Profumo di Funghi (pizza with truffle): in fact, surprisingly, besides the size they were really light, as they are not very thick. A light and tasty pizza! Also the service is great. And the atmosphere is normal overall. We paid 20 euros each: in my opinion the price is quite right with respect to the overall quality of the place.

10/04/2025: A shocking experience from start to finish. I’ll keep to the facts: 1. We asked for a wine list but were only offered white or red. We opted for 3 x white, 2 x red and a beer. 2. The white poured was undrinkable - think vinegar. The red offered was rose. We specified red and on the second time poured it was still rose. 3. We yet again asked for a wine list but still not given one. The red finally arrived and yet again was undrinkable. 4. We were finally given a wine list and chose what we wanted. Both the white and the red wine were beautiful. 5. My husband’s beer (bottled Messina) tasted weird. On a closer look it was out of date by 3 months. 6. The food order taking was shambolic. The waiter had to check four times what we had ordered. 10 minutes later they came back and re-checked. The order was wrong. We worked yet again with the staff to confirm what we wanted - 1 x seabass with pistachio crumb, 2 x baked seabass, 1 x tuna, 2 x scampi pasta, 2 x potatoes and 1 x caponata. 7. The food arrived and the order was wrong. 3 x Seabass with pistachio crumb which was a cheap crumbed fried fish fillet on a bed of spinach and olives. 1 x tuna, 1 x scampi pasta, 1 x potatoes and 1 x caponata. 8. This meant one of our party was missing a meal, two had the wrong order and we were missing a side of potatoes. 9. 15 minutes later they said that the second scampi pasta was ready. By then we were over the experience and cancelled it. The second potatoes never arrived. 10. We asked for the bill. They tried to offer us gifts of wine or desert but we were ready to leave so politely declined. 11. When presented with the first bill there were a number of additional items included equating to €60 - most comically 5 fish (we only had 3, and 2 of those were wrong!). 12. It took 3 attempts to get the bill correct. 13. No compensation given with regards to a reduction in the bill and an insistence on us paying the cover charge. 14. I have never been to such a badly run, disorganised restaurant in any of the countries that I have travelled in, I have travelled widely. Unfortunately there are a couple of lovely waitresses that try and make life easier and more efficient but due to the egos of male owners the staff are not empowered to do so. I understand that there can be a language barrier when travelling to different countries and our Italian is limited to say the least. However, there are solutions around this and numbers on the menu seem to work elsewhere in Ortigio. Maybe this is something to consider.

01/04/2025: I think I ate pretty badly, maybe I chose the wrong dish: I was undecided, in the end I took the fish meatballs in sauce😖; maybe it would have been better if I had opted for the fish couscous 🤔, or maybe I should have avoided the restaurants at the port, which, as we know, have more touristy menus. The atmosphere was nice, a bright terrace, well furnished, kind waiters, bathrooms a bit so-so, not too comfortable or too clean. Price, I would say a bit high for a portion of meatballs in sauce, a bottle of water, a dessert and a coffee €25.

05/03/2025: Piccolo locale accogliente a due passi da Santa Maria degli Angeli. Buona accoglienza, servizio più che buono. Cibo genuino, porzioni che appagano, tempi di attesa più che ragionevoli, prezzo medio-alto. Di sicuro da provare, ma non prendono prenotazioni. Bisogna essere fortunati a trovare posto.

14/02/2025: Tornati dopo un paio di anni e devo dire che sono sempre al top, cucina eccellente, piatti fa pregiati ingredienti locali sapientemente elaborati e presentati, non bisogna farsi ingannare dal titolo ‘Osteria’, e un ristorante di alto livello che merita quello che si paga; servizio eccellente e la sommelier Cacile e’ di una professionalità e competenza unica, sicuramente ci torneremo!

13/02/2025: The place where this bistro is located is one of my favorites. As elegant and atmospheric as it is quiet. In the warm months, I've often had a wine or two on the terrace here - and enjoyed the ambience. The bar next door is great, the food there is very good. Today was my first time eating in the bistro. Very attentive, friendly service. Beautiful interior in the vaulted ceiling. The food was visually appealing. However, the taste was dull and boring. I mentioned that there was a lack of spices here. The answer was: Sicilians don't like spices. That may be true. I have often eaten with Michelin-starred chefs, including various 3-star chefs: it was always excellent, no matter what philosophy a chef espouses. Not a single course was tasteless. 80 euros for 1 course plus cheese plus 1 glass of sparkling wine and water. Without having any culinary pleasure. Some reviewers write "tourist trap". It's possible. Great place. Beautiful location. Wonderfully planted terrace in summer. I won't be eating there again. I expect a melange of wonderful flavors and spices from good cuisine. It should always be an unforgettable evening. At least I remember really fabulous food for years to come, whether in Madrid, Paris, New York or with chefs like Sven Elverfeld, Dieter Müller or Christian Bau, Joachim Wissler, Tim Raue from Germany.

16/02/2025: Nice find! Courtesy and competence in the service and good hand in the kitchen. Scallops, dry passatelli, pasta with sardines, octopus. All very good. I will definitely keep the address. Time consuming but worth it 😜

07/02/2025: Abbiamo preso lo spaghettone con polpa di canocchie, peperoncino ecc...saporito, troppo distinguo poco la freschezza del pesce. Sarde a beccafico buone , ma stesso discorso.Non ho provato il fritto. Il vino in bottiglia fa levitare i prezzi. Per questo prezzo si potrebbe pretendere di più.

13/03/2025: Siamo andati per la scacciata ma i camerieri ci hanno detto che la servivano solo la sera, ma poi magicamente è spuntata in tutti i gusti, niente di che, poi ho preso un dolce al caramello con un sapore di vecchio incredibile lo fatto presente al cameriere e lo ha ritirato togliendolo dal conto, ma subito dopo viene dicendo che lo ha assaggiato ed era ottimo, vergognoso.
