Our B&B host recommended this place and we were not disappointed. There is a handsome gentleman on the outside available for good advice. We shared the mixed grill seafood and got a salad in addition. The seafood was super fresh and delicious. I highly recommend!!!

We had a nice table overlooking the water. Our server was friendly but spoke little English. That's to be expected in a touristy place.
We found the prices too high.
My husband's pizza was good. The salad was also varied. However, the oil and vinegar came in plastic sachets. Not very sustainable. But nobody in Sicily seems to care about that anyway.
I had breaded chicken pieces. And I didn't like them at all. I don't know if it was the breading or some seasoning, but it tasted strange. And for €19, I was disappointed.
On Friday, May 15th, I had lunch with a group of friends at the Spizzica Al Vecchio Lavatoio restaurant in Syracuse's Ortigia district. The blue sea in front, the Aretusa Fountain to the side, Castello Maniace to the left, the perfect backdrop of the small island of Ortigia... Add a fragrant swordfish parmigiana, a caponata, a traditional Syracusan first course, a fresh fish main course, a creamy dessert, and prompt, attentive service... Well, what more could I say? Tecla, Michele, you are fantastic! Well done everyone! We'll be back, and back, and back...

We went for the sunset and sadly, it wasn't that special that evening. We found the atmosphere to be good and the food was better. I wasn't expecting a Michelin star restaurant, but the spaghetti with pork cheek was delicious, the house rosé was palatable and my family's dinner was all well received too. It was a lovely evening all around.

The food is good, the wait is pretty long (45min) which is acceptable tho due the good view towards the sea but the carbonara is a disgrace to the italian culture! The waiter was unfriendly/annoyed and was not trying to be helpful with allergies.

Excellent aperitif. We were greeted by the very friendly Lord of the Rings. We tasted some excellent white wine. The waiter, Paolo, was very professional and attentive to customer service. We will definitely be back.
