05/08/2025: Aspettative deluse per questo locale, che - sebbene di aspetto assai curato - offre cibo da osteria (con tutto rispetto) a prezzi da stellato (o quasi). La carta dei vini (unica nota distintiva) arriva su richiesta dopo l'ordinazione e il vino viene versato direttamente senza nemmeno farlo assaggiare... Personale distratto e composizione dei piatti da rivedere: nel complesso non lo consiglierei.

04/08/2025: Locale posto sull’omonima via ma in posizione defilata. Dispone di tavoli all’aperto ma noi preferiamo sempre l’interno, accogliente ed arredato sobriamente (dopo la prossima ristrutturazione, riteniamo, lo sarà ancor di più). Piatti elaborati con sapienza e fantasia (le zeste d’arancia nel sauté di cozze e vongole lo rendono ancor più gustoso). Menú che soddisfa sia chi ama il pesce (fresco) sia la carne (di qualità superiore), offre pietanze per tutti i palati anche i più fini. La cantina è a dir poco fortissima e puó, credo, soddisfare anche i clienti più esigenti, compresi gli estimatori della birra. Per non parlare dell’enorme disponibilità di grappe; cognac; whisky eccetera. Lo staff è efficiente e discreto. Insomma: provare per credere. Soddisfazione piena, per quanto ci riguarda.

Warm environment, with attention to detail, with a quiet and no-frills atmosphere. The staff is kind, attentive, present at the right time. The cuisine is the real strong point: traditional dishes, well executed, with clear flavors and quality ingredients. You can feel that there is passion behind every course. The recommended wine was perfect to accompany dinner. Fair prices, generous portions, punctual service. A restaurant where you eat well and feel at home. Highly recommended for those looking for authenticity and taste.

16/06/2025: Tucked away on a charming cobblestone street in the heart of Trastevere, Tonnarello Scala offers the kind of dining experience that makes you fall in love with Rome all over again. I stopped by for a solo lunch and ordered the meatballs with oxtail sauce, paired with a glass of the house white (Bianca)—and I’m still thinking about it. The meatballs were rich, hearty, and absolutely bursting with flavor. The oxtail sauce was a revelation—deep, savory, and full of character, like it had been slow-cooked with love for hours. Accompanied by perfectly roasted potatoes and sautéed greens, the plate was rustic Roman cuisine at its finest. The crispy flatbread served on the side added a perfect crunch and was ideal for scooping up every last bit of sauce. The house white wine was crisp, well-balanced, and a perfect companion to the dish—refreshing without overpowering the flavors. The setting? Pure magic. Sitting al fresco, watching the world go by on a historic Roman street, with the soft echo of laughter and conversation around you—it’s what dining in Italy should feel like. Attentive service, generous portions, and that uniquely Roman charm make Tonnarello Scala a must-visit. Whether you’re here for a quick lunch or a long evening meal, it’s the kind of place that wraps you in warmth and flavor. I’ll absolutely be back.

03/08/2025: Osteria Mamma Mia in Flaminio offers cuisine that remains firmly rooted in Roman tradition, with dishes executed with precision. However, I was expecting a personal touch or something that would distinguish the dishes from the capital's typical offerings. ​The service was friendly, but not always attentive. The wait for the rest of the bill, which I had to request, was a minor complaint. I also felt they paid too much attention to regulars, an attitude that risks making the place feel a bit too "neighborly" and less welcoming to first-time visitors. ​In conclusion, this is a typical Roman osteria, neither good nor bad. Suitable for those seeking traditional flavors without pretensions of originality.

17/08/2025: I've been going there for 13 years (having lived in the country twice) and it's still my fave pizzeria in the area, the pasta is also lovely. A hidden gem, amazing staff, wholesome food and a real Italian feel. They always change orders to accommodate my diet, remembered me after I'd come back from a 4 year stint away and always treat me with family!

16/08/2025: If you want authentic Italian food in Rome, this is the place for you! An authentic Roman restaurant where you sit among locals and feel right at home! The pasta and pizza are fantastic, the steak is grilled to perfection, and the tiramisu is amazing! Be sure to drink the limoncello after your meal 🍋 We ate there twice with four people, and everything was "Perfetto!"

18/08/2025: If you're still remembering what Sora Margherita was like a few years ago, forget it. There's no trace of that anymore. The menu is not only completely overhauled, but it's not even worthy of Roman cuisine. Unfortunately, no dish has survived; I'd say it's actually offensive to both Romans and tourists. What a shame!

11/08/2025: Wow! Totally surprised and oh so delicious food they served. At first, you don’t expect from the outside because it’s in the san Lorenzo area with full of graffiti but when you go inside the ambiance is heart warming, modern interiors, clean spacious and which has cozy warm lights. The service is great , staff are very friendly and what I am excited about are their scrumptious menu. Our favourites are the lettuce dish, the fried beef trife, pork belly in soya and of course the dessert lemon 🍋 🍮 with melted meringue 🍨 🫶🏻 definitely worth to dine to celebrate with friends or couples date.

08/08/2025: A homey Roman trattoria with a refined atmosphere. I had the superb oxtail stew! Tender, with a sauce that tastes like old-fashioned fare. The carbonara was also delicious, creamy, with crispy bacon and quality pecorino. The Italian-style appetizer was generous and made with fresh ingredients. The staff were friendly and helpful, but even though the restaurant wasn't very busy, we asked for an extra dish, they said yes, and then didn't bring it. This is the reason for the four stars, because customer service is always a must, even when you're making a simple coffee. The fixed price is €29 (excluding desserts and drinks), for a first course, a second course, and a side dish, a generous portion of each dish. I'll be back!

05/08/2025: Trattoria/pizzeria in the heart of Garbatella. Cool veranda, prompt service, delicious giant pizza (ditto the supplì, classic, and cacio e pepe), very fair prices.

23/07/2025: Smiling and very friendly waitress. Large portion, very large!! Option to take away unfinished pizzas. The only downside for our group was the tiramisu, which was too sweet. I'm a sweet tooth, though! Definitely coming back. I recommend this restaurant without hesitation. Thank you.

31/07/2025: We ate here on the day we arrived in Rome after 15 hours of travelling. We didn't expect much for our first dinner since we decided to go near our Airbnb and it was late when we arrived at the restaurant. To our surprise the food was excellent, the service superb and the prices on point. We ate here 4 times! Other experiences were not as good.

08/08/2025: I was there today and ate. Unfortunately, the carbonara wasn't creamy and there were pieces of ice in it because the egg had set, but everything else was very tasty. The staff were very nice and even asked if I wanted something new. Very good atmosphere and very nice staff. I would love to come back. Thank you for everything.
