Amazing family owned business in a beautiful quiet neighbourhood on the outside of Rome. We got to meet the owners, all family owned and the PLATES!! Big plates of pasta for such an amazing price you can’t find everywhere in Rome. I’ll be back :)

I've been going to the taverna del vicolo for a few years, starting with Teresa and her staff, who are simply WONDERFUL. THE FOOD IS EXCELLENT AND THE PRODUCTS ARE QUALITY. THE MEAT IS TOP-NOTCH. IT'S NO ACCIDENT THAT YOU NEED TO RESERVE WELL IN ADVANCE OR WAIT FOR A TABLE TO FREE UP. I LOVE IT.

We opted for the €30 set menu and the quality and quantity of the dishes were impressive. All this in a warm and welcoming atmosphere, as is often the case in Italy. I highly recommend it!

Very nice place, and reservations are definitely a must. The house appetizer was very rich and tasty. I really enjoyed the tripe and cheeses, but less so the beans. The meat was very good, with a pan-fried chicory that was excellent. As for the gricia and carbonara entrees, I have to say they were good and creamy, but in my opinion, the thing I didn't like the most was the guanciale. It wasn't crispy, the fat hadn't yet melted, so it was soft.

Everything was excellent, from the appetizers to the coffee, everything was delicious. The staff was very kind, the atmosphere was clean and welcoming. The meat was amazing, super delicious.

We discovered this tavern by chance, less visible than other restaurants in the area. The crowd piqued our curiosity, and we were more than satisfied. It will be a regular stop on our trips to Rome.
Reservations are recommended.
