15/05/2026: One of our absolute favourite places in Italy. A wonderful atmosphere, wonderful soul food, fresh local ingredients and recipes, friendly owner and stuff. The food and the atmosphere in this restaurant awoke my son's ancestral Roman soul - scarpetta just came naturally to him, the manifestation of his archetypal memory, in this place. Grazie mille!

30/05/2026: A true dive into the 1980s. The focus is on substance: traditional Marche cuisine, enhanced by almost forgotten dishes like beans with pork rind and giblets, followed by tripe, grilled eggplant... And then there are the cured meats with a forgotten flavor—and all this just for appetizers. But the modernity continues throughout the courses: Campofilone macaroni with a ragù that takes you back to your childhood, followed by chicken, rabbit, and various masterfully cooked meats. Not a place for those seeking a sophisticated dish; for those seeking gourmet plating; for those demanding impeccable service. A place where you can relax and enjoy a laugh with friends, and why not, even with the "Chef" who makes sure to check if you liked each dish. One last tip: don't overdo the bread with the appetizers or you won't make it to dessert. That, too, is worth a mention. The lack of a fifth star—unfortunately—is due to the waiters, who are truly untrained. But this can be improved.

12/03/2026: A truly delightful restaurant in the center of Macerata. A welcoming and well-kept place with a warm, traditional atmosphere. The dishes are well-prepared, and the quality of the ingredients is evident. The highlight is definitely the extensive wine selection: a truly impressive cellar with many labels to choose from. I found a truly delicious 2021 organic Sangiovese here—a wonderful discovery. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, even recommending the perfect wine to pair with the dishes. A very positive experience, highly recommended.

A generous serving of cold and hot appetizers, two first courses (appardelle with duck sauce and ravioli with truffle), mixed roast meats, and side dishes. Decent quality for the price. The staff in the dining room are truly talented.

04/06/2026: Today we stopped in for lunch. The owner, who appeared at the front door, immediately proved unfriendly. When I asked for a shaded table outside, he told me he'd decide where to seat the customers. He placed us at a sunny table, even though the restaurant was half-empty, with a dirty tablecloth. But since he decides where to seat the customers, I get to decide where to eat, so goodbye. Bye bye, good manners are learned at a young age. Not recommended.
31/05/2026: There are places that don't just serve a meal, they tell a story. For me, Ristorante Moretta was one of them. I arrived with a specific desire: to try their stockfish. Yet, what I found exceeded all expectations. A dish reminiscent of the sea and tradition, prepared with a care that transformed a simple taste into a treasured memory. Next came the zucchini flowers stuffed with ricotta and anchovies: delicate and harmonious little treasure chests of flavor, where each ingredient seemed to have found its perfect place. We chose to dine outside, caressed by the evening air. The friendly and smiling staff made us feel more like welcome guests than customers. The service was impeccable: attentive, discreet, and surprisingly fast, with dishes delivered to the table without any waiting. And as every good story deserves a fitting ending, the amaro del pescatore, offered as a digestif, added a special final touch, a little treat that completed the experience. But what truly struck me was the restaurant's soul. Entering, you feel like you're crossing the threshold of a museum of memories. The warm wood harmonizes with the tartan tablecloths, while the walls, adorned with paintings and relics of the past, seem to recount lives, encounters, and traditions. And then that piano, the silent guardian of the room, evokes the warmth of a family reunited, of shared evenings, of authentic emotions. Moretta is more than just a restaurant: it's a place where flavors meet memory, where every detail speaks of passion, and where you feel part of, even if just for one evening, a story that lives on.

I love you, Chef Bruno Cavalcanti!
