Typical cuisine, excellent and authentic. The service is a bit rustic and light-hearted, as I think it should be in an osteria. The host's recommendations are excellent!

I can only say I'm satisfied and very happy with my experience at this restaurant! The food was very good, the pumpkin cream soup as an entrée was spectacular, and the rice alla pilota was delicious. The service was very fast, the waitress was very kind, and the gentleman, perhaps the owner, was very friendly and approachable. Thanks for the tips on what to see in Mantua and for the wine tasting! I really enjoyed my stay, and they also took great care of my gluten-free needs. The prices were very fair. Thanks again, and keep up the good work, guys!

I recommend this place for its selection and the quality of its vegan options. I had the Mexican seitan (with beans, peppers, onion, and spicy sauce), which I thoroughly enjoyed. There were also vegan first courses and dessert (a strudel, very well made). We were also treated to an entrée of Mantua pumpkin puree with homemade croutons (delicious). Finally, I thank the waiter for his kindness and hospitality! Highly recommended!

After a long train ride, the Giallozucca restaurant was just what we needed. Service from a friendly, smiling young woman, a welcoming atmosphere, delicious traditional food, and reasonable prices. I recommend looking around for the photographs and artwork hanging there. We'll definitely be back!

10/04/2026: I had the pleasure of eating at this restaurant and was truly thrilled. The dishes were simply excellent: the risotto with artichokes and pecorino was creamy, perfectly balanced in flavor, and truly refined. The Fassona beef carpaccio was also of the highest quality, incredibly fresh, and prepared with great care. The attention to the ingredients and the passion in the kitchen are clearly evident. The service was impeccable: the staff were kind, helpful, and professional. A truly pleasant experience in every way. I will definitely return and highly recommend it!
07/04/2026: Unfortunately, I can only give 3 stars, and only for one reason: we tourists didn't know that Amaretto is added as a "spice" to the famous pumpkin pastries. It wasn't mentioned on the menu, nor was it pointed out when we ordered. The children didn't want to eat it, and some of the adults didn't either. The quality was certainly excellent, but I'm disappointed that it wasn't made clear that this gives the filling a very distinctive, sweet flavor. It's simply not for everyone. 04/04/26

06/04/2026: Very high expectations, the restaurant recommended by the B&B owner as one of the best in Mantua. It won the show with Bastianich. We were greeted coldly upon arrival; we waited a bit for the table we'd reserved the day before to become available. After a good half hour, the first courses arrived, but one was missing, arriving much later. The tagliolini in white veal ragù was very good, the pumpkin tortelli were good but not exceptional, and the agnoli with butter and sage were average. The problem was the small portions, but that's how it is. We ordered a beef stew, which unfortunately took another hour to arrive (it was good, but by then we'd lost our enthusiasm), and the potatoes never arrived at all. There was a general sense of confusion, and the service was unwelcoming (€4 each) and rushed. Other tables also complained about the delays. The prices were too high for what was on offer. The place is unrealistic, and there's much room for improvement in many areas.
05/04/2026: Excellent restaurant in Mantua, just steps from the city center. A welcoming atmosphere for sampling traditional dishes. Excellent Gonzaga salad with capon and pumpkin tortelli.
