10/04/2026: Exceptional experience, let's talk about the welcome, there is a gentleman the manager who is of a kindness and a unique professionalism. The location, an exceptional place, attention to the smallest details, from the dining room to the bathrooms, not to mention the open cellar, with an incredible assortment of wines. What can I say.... But now let's get to the cuisine, revisited typical dishes, each dish taken care of in appearance but above all in flavors and respect for traditions. Typical Lucanian dishes interpreted in a masterly way. I don't know what to add except that I have to return. And if we want to talk about prices exactly in line with the local menus, only that here we are not talking about mediocre cuisine, but everything is taken care of and followed in an exquisite manner. Try it and believe it. Thank you, I had a great time.

29/03/2026: Overall Impression We were welcomed into a restaurant with minimalist, elegant decor. There was no excessive background music. Everything was elegant and tidy, just like the location. An interesting detail: there's a place to hang your coats so you don't have to put them behind your chair. Menu The menu, like the decor, was minimalist, but with just the right amount of dishes. There was no confusion. Furthermore, the menu included a brief historical description of the restaurant (a great idea!) There were two of us and we ate two appetizers and two first courses, accompanied by a bottle of still water and two glasses of wine (white and rosé). Furthermore, instead of the usual bread basket, they served us a beautiful tasting plate consisting of four slices of local bread, two filled focaccias, and two breadsticks, all elegantly served. Final Impressions I'm not a culinary expert, but I still managed to notice the attention paid not only to the cuisine of the dishes, but also to their aesthetics. The waiter was very courteous and carefully described the dishes and recommended excellent wine pairings. 5 well-deserved stars. I recommend it to everyone!

10/04/2026: Beautiful place, it's in Matera, you'll find it walking along Via Buozzi. The only downside was that I got a table in the sun and it was a bit strong, but it's a highly recommended spot.

05/11/2025: Like everything in Matera, the best thing about it is the atmosphere, which is fantastic. The locally sourced beef was cooked to perfection and tasted good, but it was quite fibrous. The selection of meats and cheeses is worthwhile. The sausage with potatoes is a kind of chorizo ​​criollo, but with an anise-flavored spice that overpowers the meat's flavor. The formaggie cheese was very good. As I said, the best thing about it all was the atmosphere.

07/04/2026: Terrible experience today, April 6, 2026. We were waiting to be seated. A person approached us and asked us to leave because we had our little 6-month-old French bulldog with us, and he wasn't allowed. I checked previous reviews, and many of them highlighted this restaurant's real distaste for dogs. This is truly awful. Anyone who doesn't love animals can't love people. My weekend in Matera was ruined by this experience.

The food is excellent (very varied and thoughtful appetizers), generous first courses, and incredibly high-quality meat-based second courses. The atmosphere is a dream. The wait staff is professional, especially Mimmo, an excellent host who takes great care of his guests. The quality/price ratio is reasonable. Rotondella, a wonderful little village.

04/11/2025: Great Basilicata’s food experience. Our menù was simple like traditional Basilicata food, yet sooo good. Frizzuli and Cruschi are the must-try dishes to have a glimpse of the taste of Basilicata. Prices were super honest, quantities more than average and the service was rustic like the one you can have at home. Really, a place which deserves to be visited, maybe more than once!

08/03/2026: We went to Osteria Pico and I have to say it was a wonderful experience. The food was truly excellent, with authentic flavors and attention to detail. The atmosphere is welcoming and truly enjoyable. Special thanks to our waitress Giulia, who was incredibly kind, smiling, and very professional. Her service made the evening even more enjoyable. We will definitely be back and I recommend it to anyone who wants to eat well and feel welcomed!
