04/01/2026: We went to dinner here last night and absolutely loved it. The welcome, the kindness, the attentive service, the excellent quality and flavor of the food. The manager was very knowledgeable and capable, and the chef was kind and talented. Even the bathroom was meticulously maintained, elegant, and very clean. The price was absolutely in line with the quality and the food we ate. Highly recommended.

31/12/2025: I went to Forendum in Lavello (both restaurant and hotel) with my parents, and the experience was simply perfect. We ordered two pizzas, pasta, and an appetizer: everything was very, very, very good. You can taste the quality and attention to detail, with authentic flavors and a truly local and regional touch. The staff was extremely kind and welcoming, always available, and with a way of doing things that made you feel right at home. The wine was also truly excellent: well-chosen and perfect to accompany dinner. Another thing that really struck me was the ambiance, unique and evocative: a sort of "cave-like" atmosphere, warm and unique, which made the evening even more special. Honestly, I have nothing to criticize. I recommend Forendum to anyone visiting Lavello: it's absolutely worth eating there. I would go back in a heartbeat!

The owner is extremely kind and eager to make my stay and the experience of sampling the authentic dishes a pleasant one. The food is excellently prepared and delicious. Whenever I'm in Potenza and want to enjoy delicious dishes at this delightful place, it will be my go-to.

16/02/2026: Courtesy, a relaxing atmosphere, and smiles. I felt pampered by the professional way in which they listened to my dietary preferences and offered me personalized choices. The octopus and spaghetti with mussels were excellent, and overall the dishes were all refined and well-balanced. Wide selection of wines.

The food is excellent (very varied and thoughtful appetizers), generous first courses, and incredibly high-quality meat-based second courses. The atmosphere is a dream. The wait staff is professional, especially Mimmo, an excellent host who takes great care of his guests. The quality/price ratio is reasonable. Rotondella, a wonderful little village.

04/11/2025: Great Basilicata’s food experience. Our menù was simple like traditional Basilicata food, yet sooo good. Frizzuli and Cruschi are the must-try dishes to have a glimpse of the taste of Basilicata. Prices were super honest, quantities more than average and the service was rustic like the one you can have at home. Really, a place which deserves to be visited, maybe more than once!

13/12/2025: Spread out cold cuts and pieces of cheese, 1 drink (beer) and 1 water, very expensive. Not to be missed.

05/11/2025: Like everything in Matera, the best thing about it is the atmosphere, which is fantastic. The locally sourced beef was cooked to perfection and tasted good, but it was quite fibrous. The selection of meats and cheeses is worthwhile. The sausage with potatoes is a kind of chorizo ​​criollo, but with an anise-flavored spice that overpowers the meat's flavor. The formaggie cheese was very good. As I said, the best thing about it all was the atmosphere.

I chose it based on the reviews, and we were absolutely delighted, both with the food (for example, you can taste the quality of the ingredients even with the appetizer) and the service. The staff is very attentive and polite. The atmosphere is pleasant and welcoming, and the place is clean. I highly recommend it.

26/01/2026: In Pisticci, you have no choice: either here or a packed lunch. Luckily, the only restaurant in Pisticci is also a delicious one, impeccably managed, in an elegant, historic building in the heart of this wonderful white city in Basilicata. The intriguing menu was completely satisfying. The dishes are memorable and worth returning for: grilled pecorino cheese and bean and fennel soup. Fair prices. Highly recommended.

25/02/2026: A local-friendly trattoria despite being in a very touristy area. We had a fantastic meal and the service was friendly. The tiramisu didn't seem homemade and it wasn't the best we've ever had. I would definitely go back because the pasta was spectacular. Super tasty.

21/02/2026: Typical, home-style cooking. We ate wonderfully! The bread meatballs were wonderful, not to mention the orecchiette with turnip greens and crusco peppers. I'd return to Matera just to eat here again!

I would make a few small changes to the portions; the appetizer is listed for two people, but honestly, one is more than enough. Considering the price, it could be better. Overall, a positive experience.

20/11/2025: Excellent atmosphere and quality food. Everything seemed to be in the right place, even the furnishings, including the tablecloths on the vintage tables, in harmony with the rest. Clean bathrooms and hospitality from the trained and correct staff.
