11/10/2025: Very elegant restaurant. Very clean rooms. Friendly staff. Superlative food and an excellent wine list. The owner is constantly seeking out the best his region has to offer to satisfy even the most demanding palates. One visit isn't enough to try everything. Definitely recommended.

09/10/2025: Located in a quiet alley in the historic center, behind the main Piazza Vittorio Veneto, this restaurant offers top-quality cuisine based on Lucanian ingredients and products, creating an alchemy of new and original flavors while always respecting local traditions. This is thanks to the owner, chef Francesco Abbondanza, who over the years has refined a gastronomic research that was already remarkable in its early days and has now become superlative. All this in an elegant and minimalist setting that, thanks to the perfect lighting and intimate atmosphere despite its spaciousness and airiness, immediately puts you at ease, thanks also to the professionalism and friendliness of the staff (Daniele is top notch!) and the attentiveness of the host. Excellent wine selection! In short, whether for lunch or dinner, L'Abbondanza Lucana is an experience to be enjoyed and savored. And to be relived again, because while it's unforgettable, you'll be longing to return.

13/09/2025: A pleasant surprise in Tito Scalo. Mr. Rocco is a true host who immediately puts new customers at ease. The food is excellent, authentic Lucanian home cooking, with many of the ingredients locally sourced and produced on-site. Highly recommended.

03/10/2025: Everything was excellent and surprising. We went at a friend's invitation. It's well located, close to Termini, and you can walk to several places. We had a heart-shaped ravioli starter. That's when we realized that Romans prefer pasta al dente, and for us, it was excellent, just right, and delicious. Then we had Amatriciana, melt-in-your-mouth and spicy—yes, for those who don't expect it, it can be spicy. Next, we had Cacio e Pepe, which has a lot of cheese and a bit of pepper. It's the main dish, and it came from Monte Caruso, and it has an original recipe. And then we continued with a delicious and succulent polpette con pomodoro, which comes with fresh tomatoes. A wonderful experience. And to finish, a dessert with a demonstration by Chef Emanuele preparing Dolce far niente. I highly recommend ending with this dessert. The atmosphere is rustic, romantic, and a pleasant place to linger. Right at the entrance, as you go down, there's a wall with various messages, including from famous Italian figures. And the decor is the work of fellow chef Mr. Domenico. If you truly want to experience authentic and delicious Roman cuisine, we recommend Cicilardone a Monte Caruso. And come back again.

02/11/2025: Family dinner (6 people) on a Saturday evening. The service was prompt and accurate despite the room being full. The dishes were typical of Lucanian cuisine and absolutely impeccable. The price was average. The location is quaint and clean, inside the baronial castle. Highly recommended!

26/10/2025: We were passing through and were greeted with extreme kindness—it may seem obvious, but it isn't. The owner found us a seat even though we hadn't booked and the restaurant was full (two birthdays). Great attention to local products and the cuisine (run by his wife) is truly excellent, with a touch of experimentation. Very fair prices for the quality of the products used, and a comfortable atmosphere. It's a shame we can't become regulars due to the distance, but if we were to visit again, we wouldn't hesitate to return. I highly recommend it, both for the food and for the heartwarming, genuine smiles.

28/10/2025: We were a group of 70 and we all ate well and were pampered by the owner who explained all the dishes to us.

26/10/2025: "I'd like to, but I can't..." Dinner with friends on October 25th. High expectations, unfortunately, largely disappointed. Several negatives: we sat down and waited almost half an hour for water, which arrived after the focaccia... Every time we asked for more water, we had long waits, until we had to get up to remember our request. We ordered a bottle of Valpolicella Ripasso, which we abandoned on the table the first time... When the waiter returned, the bottle was simply opened and abandoned again, without letting us taste the wine or pouring it! Oh well... We ordered various appetizers, which I must say were good, although the quantities were a bit small considering the price (equivalent to a first or second course). Then, seven restaurant orders and a pizza. The first and second courses were decent, though not exceptional to be honest, and the quantities were barely acceptable. And the pizza? Well, that never arrived... At least the desserts were outstanding: the tiramisu was excellent, and a truly remarkable cake, a crumble cake with a truly well-made cream. Then four coffees and an amaro. The bill: €42 per person. Way too much, not for what we ordered (the prices are clear on the menu), but for the quantity and quality. And the icing on the cake: the pizza never arrived, so one of our guests would have been left empty-handed, if it weren't for the fact that we're used to sharing dishes among friends. I'm sorry to have to write such a negative review, but I had other expectations, and unfortunately, the negatives were just too many. Too bad.

27/09/2025: We had lunch here and it was delicious. The atmosphere is a bit dated, but it feels like a typical tavern, and the food is high-quality, with both the first and second courses excellent. The staff were super helpful and friendly. Perfect for a traditional lunch!

02/11/2025: We stumbled upon this place by chance on a Sunday for lunch. €30 menu: mixed appetizers (cold cuts, two types of cheese, and tartlets), choice of 1 first course, water, and coffee. The food was good, but nothing special. What bothered me most was that, as soon as we'd finished our pasta, we were asked to vacate our table and drink our coffee at the bar... and it was served in a paper cup. I understand that on Sundays, the main thing is making money, but for the same amount of money in Basilicata, I've eaten much, much better, in a more refined setting, including the wine. You pay for being in a touristy place, and the lunch isn't worth that price.

28/09/2025: I ate at Pane e Lavoro in Rotondella: the food was good and well-prepared, and the prices were average. The only thing I should mention was the slightly longer wait than expected. Overall, a positive experience.

06/08/2025: Posto fantastico, cucina alla vecchia maniera, abbiamo preso: fusilli fatti in casa, alicine fritte, orata e zucchine sotto olio. Prenotazione presa alle 21.30 quindi anche abbastanza tardi.

04/09/2025: A quaint and quite welcoming place. It's a shame they don't follow the menu, or rather, some dishes don't reflect what's written on the menu. If we order four starters of porcini orecchiette and truffle cream, you can't serve us orecchiette with a mix of mushrooms like sautéed in a pan (with all due respect to those who eat them) thinking I won't notice... Furthermore, after having pointed this out to the wait staff, we expected it to at least not be included in the full-price bill! But no! €12 for a simple plate of orecchiette with mushrooms. What a shame!

30/08/2025: We stopped for dinner at a table outside, everything was ok, at a certain point the waiters disappeared to reinforce the inside part... a long wait for the 🍕.
