Antica Osteria Luchin In Chiavari

1000000/10 food, the staff was quick we got our food in minutes… plus this is GENUINE ITALIAN FOOD. This made my trip!!!! They don’t speak English well but it was completely fine when she had an issue there was another staff there to help!

We went to Luchin last night. A young man greeted us and immediately seated us without letting us read the menu, which is located outside the restaurant. Once we were seated, no one gave us the menus (which don't exist), nor did they tell us to go outside to read them. After more than 20 minutes, the young man approached to take our order without us actually reading the menu. At this, I got up to take a photo and calmly read it at the table because the young man had offered to read it to us but without specifying the prices. We were seated at a table for 6, where initially there was already a couple on the other side of the table who left shortly afterward. Almost immediately, the table filled up again to its maximum capacity, so there were three couples sitting at the same table. Yes, we were warned, but it was avoidable because a table behind us had been empty for over half an hour, but no one bothered to clear it, so we found ourselves "strangers" at the table with us. As for the food, we have absolutely nothing to complain about. Everything was truly excellent. We split the stuffed mussels, followed by a plate of trofie with pesto each, and finally shared an octopus salad. Truly excellent!! There's no coffee at this place, so you'll have to find a local bar. As for the price, it might be a little too high despite the excellent quality, but that's for the context. If you have a lot of patience and don't mind what I described above, I recommend it. Otherwise, it might be better to consider something else in the same area.

Once quality-price ratio, now quality and flavours of Liguria

The staff at the hotel recommended this restaurant and we were not disappointed. Genuine and authentic. Apparently one of the oldest restaurants in Chiavari. We had Farinata, Minestrone and Pesto pasta. Everything was great! Plus the nice Danish waiter! “ABBA”

It's impossible to remain indifferent. Finding yourself in a 13th-century "Caruggio," outdoors, enjoying traditional Genoese food cooked in a century-old wood-fired oven, and prepared by a "Farinà" who for 50 years has been selecting ingredients, timing, and temperature, and even taking care of the firewood to offer a farinata with a crispy surface and a soft texture, just as it should be. In addition to fillings, minestrone, cima, and the inevitable, wonderful anchovies! Finally, friendliness and cordiality at great prices! Fantastic! A true and rare 10 out of 10, as per tradition! 🙏

Interesting experience. Nothing that fit kids. Overpriced for quality and portions.
