26/09/2025: We went to Ristorante A Squella in Gerace, planning on eating fish, but alas, fish wasn't on the menu. The place was inviting, so much so that we decided to order it anyway. The homemade antipasto was delicious, full of homemade products that immediately won us over. And then, the pasta... The "Pasta Casereccia A-Squella" was truly sublime! We immediately identified the sausage, 'nduja, and scamorza, but there were other secret ingredients we couldn't discover. Everything was expertly measured, creating a unique and authentic flavor, typical of Calabria. Ristorante A Squella in Gerace RC Guys, it's worth the trip.

The Professor, Angela, and Monica are friendly, authentic, and thoughtful people: they are what make this place truly unique. The homemade dishes are delicious, and the atmosphere is welcoming, warm, and familiar. A place you'll gladly return to and absolutely worth a visit—more than one, in fact. 01/11/2025: Terrible Management. True, we hadn't booked. However, we went in, asked if there was a table for two, and they sat us down. After a few minutes, a group of four people arrived. It was clear they had booked for four, but there were actually five of them. The waiters conferred for a while, then came over to us and said, "There's been a mistake, the table is no longer free." I've never seen anything like it.

04/11/2025: On vacation in Calabria, in the first weeks of September, we decided to try this Trattoria, in the beautiful village of Bedolato. I called to make a reservation and, as the owner recommended, I agreed to dinner. The Trattoria is located on a street in the historic center. You can park in the main square and after a few meters you reach the building that houses the restaurant, set in rooms with characteristic barrel vaults, which, like the furnishings, make you understand that you are in a Trattoria that has made authenticity and local tradition its trademark. The manager who served us on this occasion was helpful, friendly, and never intrusive or over the top. After describing the menu of dishes made with genuine ingredients, as well as the good house red wine, we settled on a Calabrian-style appetizer, excellent and varied, followed by two tagliatelle with mushrooms, delicious and where you could really taste the mushrooms, followed by a stuffed eggplant dish and a lamb dish, and second courses topped with delicious and flavorful green beans. Water, good house wine, and finally a truly delicious Limoncello. We were more than satisfied with the price/quality ratio, and I can only highly recommend it if you're in Bedolato Borgo or are in the vicinity. It's worth a visit.

27/10/2025: After exploring Badolato, we stopped at Trattoria Tipica La Botte, where we were treated to homemade specialties: pasta (Tagliatelle), gnocchi, and melanzane ripiene. Everything tasted delicious. We recommend it.

17/11/2025: Nice pizzeria in a historic setting in Rossano. Good pizza, good prices. Very friendly owners and staff.

16/11/2025: The macaroni with porcini mushrooms was fantastic, and the pizza with porcini mushrooms was also delicious. I'd gladly come back again.

23/12/2025: A very interesting place to spend a pleasant evening. When there are events and concerts, the place transforms, and exudes a pleasant atmosphere that immerses everyone in the scene. I would return, except for the parking in the area.

17/12/2025: L'Asino is a benchmark in the world of Roman evenings and music bands. I've been here both as a musician and as a spectator, and it's always a pleasure. I hope to be able to reorganize something here soon. I know the owners and I know the heart, soul, and effort they put into making this place an icon. Places like this should spring up every day, but maintaining them is also a constant challenge. In any case, the food is also very good. Typical Calabrian vibe and flavors, and excellent beers. Go and support them.

22/12/2025: What a disappointment! We're returning to this always-busy restaurant after years, and nothing is as it should be. From a Calabrian restaurant, we expect, as we've always received, abundant dishes, strong and bold flavors, and above all, as always, quick food. The pasta dishes are decent, but the flavors are soulless; the pasta with spicy Calabrian sausage was almost sweet and lacked any spice. The worst part was the grilled caciocavallo cheese, which arrived barely warm and rubbery, almost certainly having been prepared and reheated beforehand. So much so that we sent it back, and the same dish came back microwaved. Furthermore, the dinner was practically rushed; the dishes were brought too early to be quick or even made with love, and dinner was over in 35 minutes. Truly forgettable; it's inexplicable that it remains in the guidebooks; in fact, it's now frequented only by tourists; the Calabrians have rightly all fled (even the staff).
