La Casareccia da Franco delighted us with its outstanding authentic cuisine, attentive service, and extremely fair prices. It was a truly wonderful evening. The Fileja pasta was absolutely delicious. The cannoli, filled with a fantastic ricotta filling, provided a magnificent finale.

Superb: authentic Calabrian hospitality, amidst the plethora of touristy eateries you'll find between Tropea and Capo Vaticano. Attentive and friendly staff. Traditional cuisine worth the trip into the hills (about 15 minutes from Tropea), and extremely competitive prices.

Best place to eat in Tropea. We ate very well. This family-run restaurant is just 10 minutes from Tropea. Prices are much more reasonable than in the city center, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the food arrives very quickly. Compared to the restaurants in the center (more touristy), we tasted the real Calabria.
We'll definitely be back!

It's meant to be a simple restaurant, and that's fine; that's what we went for. The meat quality is decent, but it's cooked terribly. Pork is never served raw! The pork belly is good, but it's burnt on the outside and raw on the inside. The sausage isn't particularly good. The entrecote is a real treat, like a shoe sole. The appetizer is mediocre. It could be better. The service is rushed and doesn't really care about the customer.
