Excellent food... very kind staff and owner... and after twenty years of going there I can guarantee it.

This isn't our first time here, and we're always pleasantly surprised. The value for money is unrivaled in Cosenza and the surrounding area... The owner is always available and perfectly complements the atmosphere of a warm and welcoming place, where it's hard not to feel at home. The pizza is among the best, with the option of lactose-free (the Margherita pictured is!) and a jumbo size. Last but not least, special attention must be paid to the appetizer... It's incredibly generous, especially for the price... definitely order it, you won't regret it!

A true Cosenza delicacy! Coming back to Il Desiderio is always a treat, but today Salvatore Del Conte has truly outdone himself. Salvatore is incredibly welcoming and helpful, making you feel at home from the moment you arrive. The food is simply delicious: from their legendary meatballs to pizza, to the classics of Cosenza cuisine. Today, however, we reached the pinnacle with the pasta alla giancaleone and the incredibly tender lamb. The lambascioni and the potatoes and broccoli rabe deserve special mention: authentic and genuine flavors, especially since they grow them themselves!
