03/01/2026: For "hygiene" reasons, dogs aren't allowed in (I was kicked out).
But apparently, "dirty" dogs are welcome in the restaurant.

08/06/2026: A classic McDonald's located in the center of Pompeii, opposite one of the many exits to the archaeological excavations.
Nothing special, quick service, and standard McDonald's food with prices in line with other stores.
07/06/2026: McDonald's on Pompei Via Roma generally offers good food and service, and the staff is always professional. Unfortunately, however, on Saturday evenings, the situation often becomes unbearable.
For some time now, a group of customers has been consistently creating confusion within the dining room, with loud noises, disrespectful behavior, and poor maintenance of common areas. The atmosphere becomes unpleasant for other customers, making it difficult to enjoy a meal in peace.
On a few occasions, the situation has degenerated into arguments and insults among diners, creating a general atmosphere of tension that the staff, however, attempts to manage professionally.
This is a recurring problem, especially on Saturday evenings, and in my opinion, stricter controls are needed to ensure a minimum level of order and respect within the restaurant. Currently, the experience may be compromised, despite the restaurant's quality of service.

10/05/2026: The pizza is excellent. I've been there several times and have eaten several. There are few beers available, especially the red one. The interior is a bit messy, and some of the menus are sticky. There are a few small touches missing, but the pizza is excellent, and I'll definitely be back. The price is fair.
26/04/2026: Good morning, last night I ate Capuano's pizza in Pompeii on the recommendation. I have to compliment the pizza chef, the pizza is excellent, really good, but the service leaves a lot to be desired, disorganization at the most, honestly, it leaves a lot to be desired. Too bad, because the pizza is really good, I definitely won't be returning to Pompeii again!

05/05/2026: The portions weren't very generous, even though the owner said they were large. We had calamari with no sides, the mozzarella and meat lasagna had more tomato sauce than anything else, and the veal Milanese was overcooked. We saw the owner pour a beer, and since he'd made a mistake, he put it down and served the next course 20 minutes later, adding a little more beer for the head.

07/03/2026: The food, service, and atmosphere were terrible. It was cold inside, and we were offered a choice of dishes, including some rather nauseating fried fish. The portions were tiny (when we asked for second helpings of fries, they were almost counted), and the fish seemed almost raw. The staff was almost always rude. This was definitely an experience we wouldn't repeat. It's worth noting that we were kids on a school trip who had to spend the entire afternoon walking.
07/03/2026: Had the margarita pizza. Pretty large portion for only $8. Taste was about what you would expect. Would have it again!

29/01/2026: A nice sit down location before taking a tour of Pompeii. Had a quick sandwich for fuel, it was fine.
23/01/2026: The place is very pleasant. The covered terraces, perfect for keeping warm during the winter, offer stunning views of the city and the surrounding mountains. The food is remarkably good, arriving quickly and piping hot, made with high-quality local ingredients that allow you to experience authentic Campanian cuisine. International dishes are available for children. The service is excellent. The food is a bit pricey, but that's to be expected in a restaurant located next to such a popular tourist attraction.

08/09/2025: The best service I've ever received. Fernando is a wonderful person, very polite, very professional, and extremely grateful. He took excellent care of us during our stay in Pompeii. He explained how to make authentic limoncello, showed us the best tomatoes, and made us the best coffees. I encourage everyone to visit Pompeii without leaving Fernando's restaurant. He will be happy to serve you, along with his daughter Emilia, who is also a delight. Everything is top-quality and delicious. Fernando, if you're reading this, remember that you have a home here in Barcelona! A big hug, thank you for everything.

Ristorante Pizzeria Turistico

10/06/2026: We were part of a tourist group that had the €20 set menu. However, we were not informed of what to expect. We received no menus and had to listen to the choices verbally, which was a challenge as the waiter spoke broken English (still many times better than my Italian). I was given the option between two types of pasta, and at no point made aware there would be a side dish or dessert. It maybe a good idea to give future customers a small set menu (print out) they can read and see what they will be recieving for lunch to avoid confusion.
The food in general was o.k, but not really restaurant quality. I was unable to eat the dessert and offered a fruit salad, which I accepted. It arrived and was 2 small slices of melon.
I know this place has a high turnaround of customers from the Pompeii tours, and they have to do their service at speed, but it just feels lacking and poor customer communication.
It's in a great location and could be a great restaurant if they just addressed the problems in the comments.

01/12/2025: We had just walked round the Pompeii archaeological site and back to the train station area. Tired and in need of a coffee we called. Such a warm, friendly and helpful reception. 10 out of 10 in all respects, good coffee, good food, recommended to everyone.
22/09/2025: Very hard chocolate parcel. I've never eaten anything like it. It must have been three days old.

04/05/2026: We saw the reviews and were a little apprehensive, but our experience was fabulous. The lasagna was spectacular, the spaghetti delicious, and best of all, the pizza was the best! We'll be back! Oh, and the tiramisu was by far the best I've ever had. Great value for money.
