Al Gamberoni In Pompei

It wasn't until we were sitting here that I read the (predominantly negative) reviews. We were the only guests. Okay, it is a bit old-fashioned and not super clean, but what lovely people (they don't speak a word of English, but we managed)! And the food… really tasty! One of the best bolognese dishes I have eaten in Italy!! Delicious with clearly fresh ingredients. The family enjoyed the compliments we rightfully gave. And as a ‘dessert’, a delicious homemade limoncello and meloncello. Enjoying a homey atmosphere!!!

This is the most endearing restaurant in all of Pompeii. Truly such a lovely spot, I am so happy to have found this place! If you want to feel like family, be sure to come by Ristotante Al Gamberone, you will be very well taken care of.

We stumbled upon it by chance, but it was a real hit. The atmosphere is a bit vintage, but the food is excellent. The service is welcoming, and the owners are very kind. They make you feel at home. Excellent food and great prices. I highly recommend it, but it's located next to the Besilica.

The food was really good and the prices were reasonable. The service was good and the staff was friendly. It was quite hot inside, the air conditioning cooled it down a bit.
