09/12/2025: We ate there by chance, which was disappointing, because the food wasn't great. The place was very dirty and everything was neglected. It was dusty, and the oil cruet was brought to the table, smelling rancid. The previously refilled wine bottles were very, very dirty, and everything was a bit disheveled. The cook, who could be seen every now and then taking things from the freezer, strangely located in the dining room but not the kitchen, was wearing a dangling, shabby scarf that didn't give you the feeling of cleanliness at all. The fact is, I had a stomachache for two days after trying the food there.
I would advise business owners to take a critical look at their place and give it a good clean, replacing the disposable tablecloths and coffee machine covers, even though they were full of holes and had been used a thousand times.
It's shameful that no one checks these places.

Delicious, authentic food.
Generous portions and excellent prices.
The hostess was very kind, highly recommended!

23/12/2025: Warm and welcoming atmosphere! I can honestly say I felt at home thanks to Mr. Giulio's hospitality, which delighted us immensely. I highly recommend it.

22/03/2026: Very homey and welcoming atmosphere... Maybe there are just too many tables... I liked the pizza just the way I like it.... Thin and not overcooked... The pizza chefs are very good and attentive to quality.... My pizza had a hole in the dough and they didn't hesitate to make it again (without me complaining) giving me the holed one as a gift...

14/02/2026: I'll be honest, we only had two coffees and two "streghe" (a typical local liqueur).
The coffees were good, and the streghe were average.
The place is clean, tidy, and modern.
The strong point is the owner, a kind and helpful lady.
The 5 stars are based on trust, but the food, from the look of it, looked appetizing.
Just a little tip: better ventilation would be helpful because of the fried food.
If I get a chance, I'll try that too.

I also found pieces of ash near the pizza, and the chips on top were completely soaked in oil!!! Never again!

Very rude staff, as were some of the people bringing lunch and dinner.
They stand behind the doors even at night. They open the doors with a duplicate key whenever they want. The rooms are extremely dirty.
The cutlery and glasses are extremely dirty. I would not recommend them at all.
25/02/2026: Horrible hotel, dirty, full of stains in the bathroom and on the sheets, dirty cutlery, dusty glasses, rude staff, no privacy, they stand behind the room doors, unhygienic. The food was raw, the owner and employees were extremely rude, only one employee was polite and kind, who apologized for his colleague's behavior with customers. I strongly advise against it. I went on a school trip, and I never would have gone if I had known this. Unfortunately, I'm also forced to give it one star.

17/10/2025: Located just steps from the Arch of Trajan, this restaurant offers plenty of outdoor seating.
Although the food is adequate in both quality and quantity, everything else is a bit unsatisfactory. The waiter, very professional and helpful, couldn't be alone on a day when the outdoor seating was full, the tables were a bit unclean, and the mess at the counter when paying wasn't exactly a good sign.
As a restaurant, I'd say it's fine for a casual lunch, but I'm not sure I would have found what I was looking for if I'd come for dinner.

I recommend the chicken.

23/02/2026: If you're looking for an authentic, spacious, and unfussy place, this is the place. It has an old-fashioned atmosphere and a warm welcome from the owner, who's always available and kind. The biggest surprise is the bill: a full menu for €15 with an incredible variety (from appetizer to dessert, including coffee and an after-dinner drink). It's rare to find places that maintain this level of honesty and quality. A truly positive experience!

22/10/2025: Sunday. Lunch at 2:40 PM. Four people. In the center of town, a few steps from the house of Santo Pio. We booked there on the spot, leaving a small deposit (€20). We were seated at the agreed-upon time. We ordered three tourist menus for €18.00, plus a first course and a second course à la carte.
Everything was good and excellent value. The atmosphere was quiet and characteristic, the staff was discreet and friendly. P.S.: The tourist menus do not include a €1.50 cover charge.
15/09/2025: I wouldn't recommend it for the quality/price ratio. The portions were small, starting with the first course and ending with the second course and side dish. We were a large group, only two people asked for coffee, and it was even added to the bill! I hope you don't delete the review this time... I won't recommend it to anyone!

Terrible welcome. The bathroom at the bar (paid 1 euro per person) was already filthy at 11:00 AM. "Yes, Signò, we still have to clean it."
Tables were dilapidated, no firewood, barbecues full of cobwebs, and rusty grills. The response was, "Oh well, Signò, they clean them when you light the fire."
The meat (very good, in fact, the only star in the review) was ordered with great difficulty due to a lack of communication and responses, as was the table reservation, for which I'm still waiting for confirmation. The sausages, however, were spicy, and we hadn't been notified. The response was, "It's not chemical stuff, Signò," "but no one likes them," "sorry, Signò." We thanked them for the freebie and took them home; we'll give them as a gift.
The bathrooms are disgusting. No paper, no sanitation, and haven't been cleaned in a while.
For the kids, there are a couple of dilapidated swings.
When we left, they wanted to charge us more for the coffee than we'd paid in the morning.
This led to an unpleasant argument with the same kind lady, who was nothing kind, and perhaps not even like a kind lady.
Do yourself a favor, go somewhere else; the aforementioned lady said she'll be closing soon 😅
