The place, although small, is warm and welcoming, a stone's throw from the stadium and the Troisi Theatre, with truly welcoming, polite and helpful staff. Excellent food, truly delicious skewers with parmigiana, TOP sandwich. I highly recommend.

14/06/2025: I'm surprised this place has 4.8 stars. Maybe because its cheap and the lady was nice and it's in a good location? Everything was rubbery or dry. People in the reviews say it's the best seafood they've ever had. I was thinking it was the worst, but maybe we just got a bad batch.

19/06/2025: I was out for work. I put the car on charge and a 5 minute walk away I found this little restaurant. I must say that I found an hour of tranquility on a day of traffic on the road. Excellent welcome from the staff, the place is small but very well looked after. I ate an exceptional first course (tip: the sauce was excessive; I mopped it up super! And I didn't order the second course 😀). Highly recommended for me and if I ever pass by these parts again I will definitely stop by. I'm posting a photo that's different from the usual dishes because I was very impressed by the creative flair of whoever thought up the bathroom. Well done and congratulations

08/06/2025: We were greeted by the owner immediately. Very nice atmosphere, we all took pasta. I can recommend the seafood one. Exceptional desserts,especially the lemon cake! Would come again!

25/05/2025: After visiting the village of Guardia Sanframondi we chose to have dinner at “Platano”, and we discovered one of the best restaurants in Sannio. The environment is simple but well-kept, the service efficient and the cuisine offers well-prepared dishes. The ingredients are of excellent quality, in particular the Castelpoto sausage and the Castelfranco caciocavallo. The peasant soup for an appetizer is excellent, the Avellino fusilli and the sausage with broccoli and potatoes are exquisite. We also liked the pizza, the Messicana and the sausage and potatoes, with a soft dough and a crunchy edge. The artisanal desserts are delicious.

02/06/2025: Nos arriesgamos en este restaurante, ya que nos encontramos con él justo cuando empezaba a llover y fuimos los primeros clientes, a menudo una mala señal. Pero afortunadamente no en este caso. En media hora, todas las mesas estaban llenas, principalmente de lugareños. Disfrutamos de nuestros grandes pimientos rojos rígidos vegetarianos, pero el plato más popular con diferencia fue escupir - pollo asado, se come en la mesa o como una comida para llevar. Lo hubiéramos ordenado nosotros mismos, si hubiéramos tenido tiempo de volver otro día. Convenientemente situado para la estación de tren.

12/05/2025: Este pequeño restaurante italiano ofrece un menú agradable con una variedad de opciones de comida. Una pareja no come carne ni mariscos, y había muchas opciones para las comidas. El personal era atento pero no rondando. Almorzamos aquí y luego cenamos otra noche.

23/02/2025: Un’esperienza di mare da ripetere. Ho avuto il piacere di cenare all’Officina Zio Pesce e ne sono rimasto entusiasta! L’atmosfera è accogliente e il servizio cordiale, ma il vero protagonista è il pesce, freschissimo e cucinato benissimo. Abbiamo iniziato con un cuoppo di fritto di mare croccante e asciutto, un perfetto equilibrio di sapori e leggerezza. Poi abbiamo assaporato un delizioso fusillo con ragù di dentice, un primo piatto avvolgente e ricco di gusto. Infine, il dentice alla siciliana ha chiuso in bellezza la serata: un piatto saporito, ben bilanciato nei suoi ingredienti mediterranei. Un ristorante assolutamente consigliato per chi ama il pesce e cerca qualità e passione in cucina ad un prezzo adeguato. Tornerò sicuramente!

Durante la nostra gita alla Reggia di Caserta, io e i miei compagni di classe abbiamo deciso di pranzare all’Officina Zio Pesce, ed è stata una scelta più che azzeccata! Fin dal nostro arrivo, siamo stati accolti con grande calore e gentilezza. La signora, con una disponibilità rara, ci ha aiutati a creare un menù personalizzato in base al nostro budget di 20 euro, riuscendo persino a farci risparmiare qualcosa. I piatti erano semplicemente deliziosi: pesce freschissimo, cucinato alla perfezione, con sapori autentici che raccontano tutta la tradizione locale. Le porzioni abbondanti e la cura nella presentazione hanno reso il pasto ancora più speciale. L’atmosfera del locale è accogliente e familiare, il servizio rapido ed efficiente, perfetto per un gruppo numeroso come il nostro. È stato evidente quanto amore e passione vengano messi ogni giorno nel lavoro, facendoci sentire a casa anche lontano da casa. Consigliamo vivamente Officina Zio Pesce a chiunque passi per Caserta, sia per un pranzo veloce che per un’esperienza gastronomica autentica e indimenticabile. Grazie di cuore per l’ospitalità, torneremo sicuramente!

21/06/2025: terrible experience they very often get takeaway pizza orders wrong, let's say a person is allergic to some ingredient and they make a mistake they also risk getting sick.

08/07/2025: The food quality/price ratio was acceptable, I'd say, if you're still thinking of going to a typical osteria. But the service was very slow, and some waiters (not all) were rude, with some almost throwing their dishes on the table, and others literally shouting throughout the room as they huddled together. They kept making videos for social media, while we waited an hour for a first course. Honestly, there's a lot to revisit, and I hope so for these guys.

23/04/2025: Siamo andati sabato prima di Pasqua. Il sevizio è stato veloce perché c'erano pochi tavoli occupati. Menù disponibile sia con il QR code che in cartaceo (foglio stampato, che consiglio di sostituire ogni tanto, era un po' sporco). Prezzi nella media, non eccessivi. Pizza buona, io ho preso una stella. L'unica cosa che consiglio è di fare attenzione a farcire la pizza. Nella mia pizza il condimento delle punte (che dovrebbe essere solo nelle punte) fuoriusciva e andava nella parte centrale. Quindi dove avrei dovuto avere solo rucola, pomodori, grana e prosciutto invece c'erano anche carciofi, funghi e salame, fuoriusciti dalle varie punte. Alla fine della cena ci hanno offerto un meloncello. Probabilmente tornerò
