We had a really poor experience here. Almost every dish we ordered was inedible. The plate of pasta was swimming in oil, while the gnocchi and grilled vegetables were completely dry and choked down. To make matters worse, the meat was of very poor quality. The only saving grace of the entire meal was the mixed platter, which was actually good. Save your money and go elsewhere.

08/06/2026: We just finished our vacation at Hotel La Praia. We had a great time. The service was exceptional. Carlo is helpful and very professional. The room staff is incredibly friendly, and the reception staff is incredibly helpful and kind.
A great place, it's a shame that vacations are always short.

02/01/2026: I was with friends for a post-dinner drink, and we chose this place based on past experiences that were neither praise nor infamy.
We arrived at the place and were off to a bad start, with two people smoking inside the covered veranda.
We attempted to order some gins from the long list available on the menu, but they promptly weren't available... After about 4-5 failed attempts at ordering gin, and one attempt at ordering a beer, where none of the 4 on the menu were available, we decided to let the waiter decide, indicating our tastes...
My friends were a little luckier, but I received some real "fuel"...
As long as I live, I will never set foot there again.
Thank you and never again.
27/12/2025: A terrible spritz, all ice in a plastic cup. Paid €8 without a single crisp or appetizer. Outrageous.

15/05/2025: Incredible!!! We've enjoyed an excellent aperitivo here twice now. The reasonable price doesn't reflect the outstanding quality of the authentic food. The ambiance and the very friendly staff made the evening a highlight.

11/05/2025: This restaurant is not worth visiting. Food is overpriced and simply not good (served on plastic (!) plates )- same goes for the service - waiters are buzzing around you constantly, talking on their walkie-talkies like they are in a swat team (mind that at the time only 3 tables were taken) making it impossible to enjoy the meal (not that there is much to enjoy). Stay away for your own good.

10/06/2026: Way too expensive! You aren't allowed to sit where you want! I *had* to sit next to the booth and I moved anyway! Limoncello spritz in a glass that was too small, full of ice, but very little limoncello and spritz! €10! A small beer: €5. Way too expensive for what we got! We won't be coming back here!
22/05/2026: I highly recommend the "Pyszne Wszystko" bakery. 😊 Delicious, fresh pastries, friendly service, and a great atmosphere. Definitely one of the best places for a sweet treat! 🍰

23/11/2025: An incredible place, a magic and charm that's impossible to explain. I arrived there by chance and felt welcomed as if I were with friends I already knew because the atmosphere provides that – simplicity in the way you are received, but with glamour, great drinks, cheerful music, a feeling of freedom that makes you not want to leave!! I can't wait to go back.
25/09/2025: We didn't even wait a minute for a table, they were very efficient! The place was so pleasant and quiet that it even seemed closed.

11/06/2026: Excellent value for money and generous portions. We ate really well. Superb mixed grill with five types of fish.
The Tropea salad was excellent. The eggplant scapici and fish appetizer were excellent. €81 for two, including wine, mineral water, and coffee. We left the table feeling full and satisfied.
08/06/2026: I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant and was very pleased with my visit. I ordered the Tropea pasta and a pizza, and both dishes were truly delicious. The pasta was delightfully flavorful, with fresh ingredients and excellent preparation, while the pizza was perfectly baked, with crispy dough and aromatic toppings. The pleasant atmosphere and friendly service were also a plus. The fact that the chef was Polish was also a pleasant surprise, which made me feel even more at ease. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who appreciates delicious cuisine and high-quality dishes.

10/06/2026: A truly enjoyable family dinner at Vecchio Forno in Tropea. We ate excellent pizzas, made with quality ingredients and a soft, light, and very digestible dough. I chose the pizza with 'nduja and onion: flavorful, well-balanced, and truly delicious.
If you're looking for good pizza in Tropea, this place is definitely worth a visit. Frequented by locals and recommended by friends, I highly recommend it too!

14/06/2026: Very disappointed in the food quality the salad was old and spaghetti carbonara… (not sure what to say),we were waiting for the bill 20 minutes.
06/06/2026: A truly positive experience. The starter platter was exceptional, rich, and meticulously prepared. The first courses, both seafood and traditional, were excellent, prepared with quality ingredients and great attention to flavor.
The value for money is excellent, making the experience even more enjoyable. Kudos also to the staff, always friendly, helpful, and professional.
The food was truly excellent in every way. I recommend this place without hesitation and will gladly return.

26/05/2026: We let the man at the door treat us; we wanted to eat pasta with mozzarella and a typical sauce. He said they do everything. The end result was that the portions were too small. I had pasta with mussels, which was far too bland. €65 to not get full! This isn't the kind of place for us. It's better to go a little further into town; there you'll find better food and better prices.
