01/03/2026: I didn't like it very much, the quality/price ratio was too high,

20/02/2026: I went twice in my week in Tropea (was one of the 2 restaurant open) and while the first time I had a mixed experience with one of the waiter, the second time it was perfect. Both times the food was incredible. Both times the (spanish ?) waitress was kind, professional and helpful. Just another of the waitress seemed overly stressed and not very happy therefore not very helpful. But the second time she was at the top of her game again.

30/11/2025: Passing through Macomer, I was curious to try this renowned gelato with three Gambero Rosso cones. Unfortunately, I found it closed at 2:30 PM on Saturday because it didn't reopen until 4:00 PM. I could understand weekdays, but a gelato shop of this renown can't afford to have such hours on weekends, even in late autumn.

28/12/2025: I was there hours ago, poor service, staff (it was just one girl) a bit incompetent. The bathroom was in the kitchen🫣 the pizza arrived raw, we asked if they could push the tables together since we were a group of people and we were told they couldn't. Hygiene 0 the bathroom was in the kitchen and it was dirty, I didn't take photos. High prices for what you get, I don't recommend it.

15/05/2025: Incredible!!! We've enjoyed excellent aperitivos here twice already. The low price doesn't reflect the outstanding quality of the authentic food. The ambiance and the very friendly staff made the evening a highlight. Thank you for that!

11/05/2025: This restaurant is not worth visiting. Food is overpriced and simply not good (served on plastic (!) plates )- same goes for the service - waiters are buzzing around you constantly, talking on their walkie-talkies like they are in a swat team (mind that at the time only 3 tables were taken) making it impossible to enjoy the meal (not that there is much to enjoy). Stay away for your own good.

23/11/2025: An incredible place, a magic and charm that's impossible to explain. I arrived there by chance and felt welcomed as if I were with friends I already knew because the atmosphere provides that – simplicity in the way you are received, but with glamour, great drinks, cheerful music, a feeling of freedom that makes you not want to leave!! I can't wait to go back.

25/09/2025: We didn't even wait a minute for a table, they were very efficient! The place was so pleasant and quiet that it even seemed closed.

01/11/2025: My favorite place for dinner in Tropea. Delicious food at absolutely fair prices. Lots of fish dishes, a very good wine selection. The Osteria is truly a little gem, tucked away in a quiet side street in the old town. Anyone looking for a relaxing evening with good food in Tropea should definitely stop by.

10/01/2026: Can't give any stars. Their website said they were open, so having wandered around in a storm in the dark we finally found a closed pub. Very disappointing. :-( Better if you keep your hours accurate guys. :-)

17/10/2025: We have had some great meals at some really good restaurants in our two weeks in Italy and this place was our run away favourite - we ate here 3 times. Our favourite dishes were the Fileja la Rossa (pasta with tomatoes, onion, olives and capers - perfect) and the Mastru Totu Pizza (topped with tomato, olives, capers, anchovies and burrata (like a cold Mozzarella but better)). Sitting outside in the small square beside the restaurant was a beautiful and peaceful place to eat. The service was brilliant. They were very apologetic that their internet was not working and we had to pay by cash (I am not sure why that would be an issue - I managed to live for 35 years without the Internet). In writing this review I am a bit shocked to see quite a few poor reviews. Hard to understand why, based on our experience this restaurant is brilliant.

13/10/2025: The staff were incredibly kind and friendly, even with our little girls. The atmosphere was romantic and quaint, with a lovely outdoor terrace. Superb food featuring fish, octopus, and Tropea red onions. Highly recommended.

29/12/2025: You accept the old oven for what it is, very simple and discreet dishes.

20/12/2025: A place with the unique atmosphere of an old Italian diner. The pizza is unique, with a rather thick crust, but very tasty. Good house wine. All this at affordable prices. The service is friendly and helpful. It's worth arriving around 7 p.m., as the restaurant and the outdoor tables fill up quickly.

27/10/2025: Frozen seafood appetizers preserved in oil. Linguine full of oil. Seafood pasta full of oil but tasty. Desserts inedible. Fried fish generous and average. Pasta with tomato sauce acceptable.

16/10/2025: Actually, it's an honest way to run a restaurant. Very proper. The restrooms, however, desperately need work.

12/10/2025: This meal was so average, my worst in italy. The environment was lovely but it seemed i was not welcome here at all. The guy that seated me went and sat down to look at his phone. Another man saw this and grabbed me a menu. The meal was fairly quick to come out. I was looking around and saw other tables had bread. Eventually I was given some but offered no table water. 2 Euro coperto for poor service. I do not recommend this place.
