04/01/2024: I had the pleasure of having lunch here this summer and I must say it was an unforgettable experience! The food was simply delicious, with a huge selection of very fresh fish dishes. The staff were super helpful and kind, making the service truly exceptional. The location was lovely. Furthermore, I really liked the fact that the restaurant is committed to using local products, giving an authentic touch to the dishes. I can't wait to return to Tropea for another tasty dining experience!

08/09/2023: Siamo stati in questo lido per le nostre vacanze a tropea, non abbiamo provato il ristorante per cui la recensione è solo per il servizio spiaggia. Abbiamo molto apprezzato la pulizia della spiaggia e il mare splendido, abbiamo invece apprezzato meno il fatto che in spiaggia non ci fosse alcun servizio, anche per buttare una semplice carta dovevi entrare nella struttura principale. Lo staff in buona parte gentile e disponibile, con un po' di sufficienza da parte di alcuni di loro.

Buono anche il dessert. Rapporto qualità/prezzo ottimale visti anche le richieste di altri ristoranti di pesce a Tropea alta. Consigliato

15/10/2023: Wir waren zu zweit dort an der Theke und wollten eigentlich jeweils nur einen Espresso trinken. Der nette, sehr aufmerksame Chef überzeugte uns mit seiner sympathischen Art, doch zusätzlich etwas von den "Dolci" zu probieren. Gerne und leicht hatten wir uns schnell überzeugen lassen. Die Cornetti werden, erst nach der Bestellung, auf Wunsch frisch mit der Füllung versehen. Zur Auswahl gibt es Pistazie, Schokolade, Pudding, Marmelade. Wir hatten ein großes Cornetto, gefüllt mit Pudding und ein kleines gefüllt mit Pistaziencreme bestellt. Dass wir auch noch das hausgemachte Tartofo-Eis testen, dazu hatte der pfiffige Chef keine Mühe mehr, um uns auch davon noch zu überzeugen. Wir waren jetzt sowieso schon viel zu neugierig auf diese vielfältigen verschiedenartigsten Dolci, die in den Glasvitrinen präsentiert wurden! Bequem, direkt vor der Eingangstür, ,hatten wir im Schatten an einem kleinen Tisch den perfekten Platz um dem "Treiben" auf der Straße zuzusehen. Die Espressi waren hervorragend! Die Cornetti ganz frisch und sehr lecker! Das Tartufo-Eis war hervorragend (jedoch hatte ich keinen Vergleich getestet). Die Rechnung war aber auch hervorragend: 19 Euro für tutto competto! Ich dachte, ich hatte den Preis nicht richtig verstanden und lies mit deshalb die Preise einzeln auflisten. Die Summe war natürlich in Ordnung. Aber mit diesen Preisen für die einzelnen Teile hatten wir wirklich nicht gerechnet. Alles in allem kann ich sagen: das Caffe Del Corso ist sehr zu empfehlen, wenn man sich im Voraus der gehobenen Preise bewusst ist!

06/10/2023: Eravamo già stati qui in passato e ci siamo rotornati per il piacere di mangiare un buon panino alla piastra.. Qualcosa sicuramente è cambiato ma siamo comunque rimasti soddisfatti.. Panino buono, abbondante e prodotti freschi.. Prezzi forse un po' lievitati.. Personale gentile.

30/03/2024: Perhaps the biggest "rip off" in Tropea. 6 Euro per person "surprise" coperto for a plate of stale bread. Food is okay, but not fantastic and definitely not worth the price- 20+ Euro for a small plate of pasta. 25 Euro for a bottle of wine that costs half that price anywhere else. The atmosphere is nice with a beautiful view over the sea. That's what you are paying for. We have never seen a 6 Euro coperto anywhere in our 25+ years of traveling throughout Italy. Ridiculous. We live in Tropea and will not return here.

27/03/2024: EMPTY Restaurant, We arrived and ordered a rose wine from the region, when asking for the cork to keep as a souvenir, the owner simply threw the cork into the bucket without handing it to us, we ordered pumpkin soup with vongoli, two spoonfuls maximum, for 20 euros, wonderful, but tiny, then we ordered spaghetti with vongoli and granapadano, hard pasta, tiny dish for 26 euros, that is, my wife and I spent 117 euros, without dessert, and WE DO NOT RECOMMEND IT!!!!!,

02/04/2024: Good morning, on Easter Monday I ate in this restaurant in Tropea with my family, the food was very good but the service was very slow, in fact many tables stood up because the orders were not arriving, moreover the prices are very exaggerated given the portions small.

06/04/2024: Perfect place to explore Tropea. Right on the very beautiful sandy beach, restaurant on the square, pizzeria right next door and the stairs up to the beautiful town of Tropea right behind it. The place is very well maintained, toilets and showers are very clean and tidy. The whole team at the pitch was super friendly and very helpful. We would definitely like to come back!

17/12/2023: Posto fantastico, aperitivo a dir poco inesistente, due patatine contate e due tarallini vergognoso, non è possibile in un periodo così importante pullulante di turisti causa luminarie evitatelo, L unica cosa di qualità il prezzo sproporzionato rispetto all offerta

04/04/2024: I just wanted to get what I ordered: a swordfish with tomatoes, capers and olives. But what I got was just a piece of fish (see pictures pls). Maybe the chef was not in the mood…🤔

02/04/2024: We were there yesterday with the family, we ate well and above all genuine food, average service. The only thing in my opinion are prices that are not in line as they are quite high.

15/10/2023: Posizione ottima su una splendida terrrazza nel centro di Tropea. Ingresso un po' anonimo, personale lento nelll'accoglierti per sistemarti ad un tavolo. Per mangare occorre aspettare troppo tempo, circa 40 minuti. Abbiamo preso 2 antipasti veramente ottiami. La pizza lascia a desiderare. Conto in linea con ciò che mangi.

01/04/2024: We ate in this restaurant at the end of August, a nice girl welcomed us; after having made us sit down, however, we were served at the table by another waitress, who after making a bad impression by asking personal questions, first took the plate away from my partner while she was still eating (literally) and then started muttering something in dialect Calabrian every time he approached the table. They fooled people into thinking they could choose the lobsters from the aquarium, but once they took them out of the water they took a quick trip to the kitchen and then went out the back and as if nothing had happened they put them back in their place. It took us less time to eat than to pay, we had to tell the owner that we were in a hurry to go and she in response, with a grimace, said that she was working. The pizza chef and the waitress who welcomed us are the only two employees I would save, but starting from the owner and then arriving at the bigoted and rude waitress I would kick everyone in the ass. I understand that it is complex to understand all this, it is also complex for me to explain it in writing, but what happened is madness. The place was recommended to us, we do not recommend it to anyone! I'm Southern, but these are the characters that feed the Southern stereotype. That said, If "this is love", after being with you I can say that you don't know what love is, for food, respect for people, respect for customers and so on and so forth. Any advice guys? if you want to eat a pizza, there are hundreds of pizzerias in Tropea.

02/10/2023: Abbiamo fatto aperitivo in questo localino in centro, prodotti tipici davvero di qualità con abbinamenti azzeccati. Buonissima la 'nduja e tutti gli altri salumi, accompagnati da degli ottimi vini locali. Se si vuole assaggiare la vera Calabria è uno dei posti giusti dove potersi fermare. Servizio alla buona ma molto cordiale e conto nella media di Tropea.

01/10/2023: Bella location in centro a Tropea , suggestiva la parete fiorita, cornice perfetta per un ottimo aperitivo (per noi) calabro. Abbiamo preso due calici di vino (4 lustri) ed un tagliere , tutto ottimo e ben abbinato

03/10/2023: I had dinner at this location on Saturday 30 September 2023. We booked (for 4 people) in the afternoon. Upon our arrival the waiter immediately seated us at the assigned table outside (rather small). We ordered a total of 2 pizzas, a seafood risotto, a tuna Tropeana, a grilled fish and 2 bottles of water. I ate my deviled pizza and honestly it was a disappointment: soulless dough (pressed, thin and leathery); the filling was very poor and without personality (it looked like a frozen margherita). I tasted the tuna alla Tropeana: the dish looked like a small pile of homogeneous tomato sauce, well hidden by a small slice of tuna with a non-uniform thickness of 1 to 0.5 cm. Assuming that the tuna was fresh, drowning it in that amount of tomato sauce certainly didn't enhance it. A few black olives and capers didn't give any character to the dish (16 euros). Grilled fish: 1 prawn; small thin slice of sword; a thin slice of tuna and 5 pieces of squid (18 euros). The seafood risotto was decent. I show up at the checkout: total 85 euros. I was asked if I would like to pay in cash. I asked, “What changes?” The lady replies: "I would give you a little discount" I ask: "How much?" "I'd give her 80" I reply: "It would be better if we all paid taxes: I pay with a debit card." This last thing infuriated me even more than the miserable dinner. Subsequently I expressed my complaints about the quality and quantity in the dishes. They replied that they didn't realize when they were plating that the tuna was so scarce. Making fun of tourists is not good. I am writing this review because I would like certain incorrect behaviors to no longer occur. I won't be going back anyway.

02/10/2023: Abbiamo prenotato (per 4 persone) nel pomeriggio. Al nostro arrivo il cameriere ci ha fatto immediatamente accomodare al tavolo assegnato all'esterno (piuttosto piccolo). Abbiamo ordinato complessivamente 2 pizze, un risotto marinaro, un tonno alla tropeana, una grigliata di pesce e 2 bottiglie di acqua. Io ho mangiato la mia pizza alla diavola e sinceramente è stata una delusione: impasto senza anima ( pressato, sottile e coriaceo); la farcitura molto scarsa e senza personalità (sembrava una margherita surgelata). Ho assaggiato il tonno alla Tropeana: il piatto si presentava come un mucchietto di salsa di pomodoro omogenea, ben nascosta una piccola fetta di tonno con spessore non uniforme da cm 1 a 0,5. Dando per scontato che il tonno fosse fresco, sicuramente annegandolo in quel quantitativo di passata di pomodoro non si è valorizzato. Qualche oliva nera e cappero non hanno dato nessun carattere al piatto (16 euro). La grigliata di pesce: 1 gamberone; piccola fetta sottile di spada; una sottiletta di tonno e 5 pezzetti di calamaro (18 euro). Il risotto marinaro era discreto. Mi presento alla cassa: totale 85 euro. Mi viene chiesto se avrei voluto pagare in contanti. Ho chiesto: "cosa cambia?" La signora mi risponde: "le farei un po' di sconto" Chiedo:"Quanto?" "Le farei 80" Rispondo: "Le tasse sarebbe meglio che le pagassimo tutti: pago col bancomat". Questa ultima cosa mi ha fatto infuriare ancora di più della cena penosa. Successivamente ho esternato le mie lamentele per la qualità e quantità nei piatti. Mi hanno risposto che non si erano accorti all'impiattamento che il tonno fosse così scarso. Prendere in giro i turisti non porta bene. Scrivo questa recensione perché vorrei che certi comportamenti scorretti non si verificassero più. Io comunque non ci tornerò.

12/10/2023: Nice centrally located bistro/coffee/gelateria for drinks and food when you're hungry. The service is very nice and works quickly.
