07/10/2025: I went with my wife and son in September for dinner in the ancient cave. The seafood appetizer smelled bad and tasted nothing like seafood. The octopus was transparent and smelled bad—you couldn't tell it was octopus carpaccio; it was literally transparent, like tissue paper. The rest was anything but anything that reminded you of the sea. Everything was frozen and poorly treated. Parmigiana was the sore point!! It wasn't parmigiana, but a mixture of boiled eggs drowned in tomato sauce. I don't think they even know what eggplant parmigiana is; there were only boiled eggs. I wouldn't go back even if they paid me; it was a TERRIBLE experience that's hard to undo. They have no idea what Italian or Calabrian cuisine is. What a shame! These people were improvised and had never worked in a kitchen!

28/11/2025: No idea. Showed up at opening time on 28 Nov and they were locked up. Website and Instagram said nothing about seasonal closings, Google profile said they should be open. Nothing. Menu had been removed from display. Assume closed for season, but some signage or notification would be grand. Maybe update your own website, Google, Instagram or Facebook notification? Asinine lack of communication from a high rated establishment. Unfortumatly this is not the only instance of this, just the one that was directly impacting my family having a meal. Please communicate better.

01/11/2025: Very cute restaurant! I went twice and sat on the terrace. I had a pizza and the other day the filej pasta with cipolla rossa and caponata tropeana. Everything was delicious and service was excellent, she even remembered my special dietary requirements from the time before.

29/11/2025: The food was amazing, and the waiters were divided between some who were unprofessional and seemed to be making comments and jokes about the customers while chatting among themselves, and others who were super professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. I booked with the Fork, and the discount wasn't applied initially (after waiting 15 minutes for the bill at the table), so when I pointed it out, they recalculated the bill manually and brought it back after another 10 minutes of waiting. Highly recommended if you want good food at reasonable prices!

24/03/2026: This restaurant is fantastic - the inner courtyard is absolutely beautiful, and the service is excellent. A bottle of wine for €15–20, especially a good Sicilian one, is incredible value. The food was very tasty overall, I especially enjoyed the squid. I’d definitely recommend ordering seafood if you visit. Located right in the center of Tropea, it’s one of the best and most atmospheric restaurants in the area.
