24/03/2026: Tropea, Lido Costa degli Dei, "Coast of the Gods" is a very nice small town beach. It has a beautiful sandy beach, located at the foot of the sanctuary of Santa Maria Dell Isola, a great place for a cloudless and sunny holiday.

01/02/2026: We were there in September 2025 and I just found myself thinking about it again tonight. The service was lovely, the wine was excellent, and the view was unforgettable. Such a great spot for a date — beautiful atmosphere and an all-around wonderful experience.

06/01/2026: Good experience. When I was there (December 25th), they had the option of a full menu at a reasonable price (just over €30). I recommend booking a table with a view!

05/04/2026: The staff were very friendly and accommodating - they didn’t seem to do takeaways normally, but made an exception for me. The Tropea salad tasted quite fresh. However, their daily special seafood risotto was rather disappointing, it was more like a bowl of pilaf (with a few clams and mussels, and a couple pieces of squid), In fact, I was taken aback a bit when was told the risotto would be ready in 10 min (an authentic risotto would take much longer than that). Maybe their other dishes are better. I would advise against ordering the risotto.

03/04/2026: On our way home, we stopped for a drink at this pub; it had a very positive vibe. The lady immediately approached us with a smile and brought us a starter. My Aperol was delicious, and the whiskey and cola were very interesting, you could tell it wasn't just any old school. We recommend it :)

22/03/2026: The food was very Good, and the price even better. Had some wild boar stew that was delicious, and some red wine (Tenpo Reale Riserva) Excellent wine. They played 80’s songs that brought me back to my youth, making the whole experience even more magnificent.

13/12/2025: We had lunch at this restaurant today. The welcome was perfect, and the owner was incredibly attentive. He pampered us by seating us in a more private and quiet room since we arrived with our sleeping baby. He then explained the menu and recommended dishes. We had a traditional appetizer, followed by onion soup and spaghetti with fish, followed by fried calamari and chips. Everything was delicious, the service was top-notch, and the owner's presence was a real pleasure. We're so happy to have discovered this highly recommended little place; we'll definitely be back.

09/10/2025: I stayed at the hotel for two nights with a friend and ate at the restaurant one evening. -The hotel is fantastic. It's in a fantastic location right in the heart of Tropea, and we were even lucky enough to have a small balcony overlooking the square. The breakfast was good, and the coffee was delicious. -The food was good. The enthusiastic owner gave us great recommendations for fresh food and treated us to local delicacies. 09/03/2026: I've never had a worse meal. An endless wait from the door to the end of the meal. A good two hours to get something to eat, and I don't know how to describe it, what adjective to use to describe it all. From the appetizer to the main course, including a first course (fileja with swordfish sauce) with no seasoning and with the sauce remaining the intention of the person in charge of cooking: cold dishes of truly poor quality. Courtesy is not lacking, but you enter the restaurant not only for the manners... I read the other reviews and wonder if they've changed the chef in the meantime, because today's chef, I believe, is his first experience in the kitchen. What I couldn't have known yesterday is that today I had gastrointestinal problems, resulting in diarrhea. Many thanks to the owner.

02/02/2026: December 31, 2025, passing through Tropea. Last dinner of the year, unpretentious, and before midnight. The owner tells us she also brought her dogs to the restaurant so they wouldn't be scared by the fireworks, and we had ours. During dinner, two explosions were very annoying for us, let alone the dogs. I wanted to go out and protest. At the third, we realized it was the owner's fault, and we ran away. Just one piece of advice, Mr. Owner: commit and invest money and time in quality and speed of service, not in scaring customers away.

01/11/2025: The mussels sautéed in Ndujia sauce and Grandma Teresa's Vicolo34 appetizer were exceptional. We were very satisfied and will definitely be back.

30/09/2025: They immediately offered us a table outside, even though it was quite chilly at the end of September. The food was excellent; the tuna with Tropea onions was truly delicious. The service was both professional and humorous. Being in a pedestrian area, parking isn't the easiest thing...

13/09/2025: Nice place, on a quiet street, with good service. The food is okay, but nothing particularly stands out. The wine is very good and reasonably priced.

21/03/2026: The place absolutely needs improvement because I noticed a lot of neglect. It left me perplexed and unimpressed. The owners and staff were friendly. The dishes were plentiful and decent, but not exceptional for my tastes. For example, the spaghetti wasn't cooked al dente. I would only recommend much, much improvement in quality and atmosphere, including better lighting.

13/03/2026: This is the exact same review from about 4 years ago. The owner lashed out (yes, against it, it's appropriate to say!) against this review, attempting to ridicule an honest, albeit unpleasant, review by addressing them in the most truculent and aggressive terms possible. Today, exactly 3 hours ago, that reply to my review was edited!!! 4 years later, it was edited!!! How come? Why? 4 years later, they come back and remove that vulgar and inappropriate reply, replacing it with a few lines...of contrition!? It smells a bit fishy...it's March and the summer season is starting again! And the reviews, along with the replies, are starting to carry a lot of weight and serve as a good reference for those who come or plan to come to stay in magnificent Tropea. I suspect this (they also edited another reply to a negative review!!) is the result of a commercial strategy that has nothing to do with food and dining. If so, new patrons will be able to verify it. I hope I'm wrong and that things have changed today, for the better (truly better, as a fairytale location like Tropea deserves). I'm confident I'll find myself in Tropea again and will want to try their cuisine again, intellectually honest as ever, ready to retrace my steps (I truly hope so). REVIEW IN MY ORIGINAL AND UNEDITED VERSION FROM 4 YEARS AGO: "Think of the worst and that's half of what will happen to you the moment you unfortunately decide to enter this place! Fresh fish has never been in here! The reason they will repeat to you ad nauseam is that this mysterious artifact must go through a "battitura" process (a term in vogue here to define freezing!). The expert who will administer pearls of scientific-culinary wisdom to you is a certain Mauro, a tall figure with a mellifluous attitude who will try to distract you by serving you 2 plates of "reheated soup" that are at least 1 week old and will make you pay dearly and bitterly. You will be surprised to see that a grilled fish (that's how they call it), will taste like Findus fish fingers and that it will have neither head nor tail... nor fish! If you try to ask for a fish in salt (present on the menu) they will answer which unfortunately wasn't caught either because of the peach ban or, in the case of mussels, because they don't like the method of transporting them from Puglia! When you complain about the supposed quality/freshness of the fish, Mauro will tell you he'll report it to the chef! The chef? If anyone ever sets foot in this little theater! Last piece of advice: if you ever stumble upon this place, always ask the price of off-menu puatti (?) and check the bill (they double-charged the water)! Good luck everyone.

29/11/2025: Booked with The Fork. Located in a super chilled little square with soft lighting and an elegant atmosphere. Helpful and professional waiters, food in line with the offerings of many restaurants in Tropea, fair prices, and excellent quality.

09/11/2025: There were four of us. The restaurant is actually located in a courtyard surrounded by old houses (some with their laundry hanging out to dry). A street musician came by and stayed for a full 40 minutes, playing incredibly loudly so we couldn't have a proper conversation. The service seemed to be competing with each other... even though we already had a waiter, the owner came by and started the entire order all over again... if only she had actually brought everything... The food was okay – not what you'd expect from an Italian restaurant. And it was expensive enough for what it was. So, not really...

05/04/2026: Beautiful restaurant located in the center of Tropea near the Belvedere. Excellent food and very helpful and friendly staff. Recommended.

03/04/2026: Pizza bianca rucolona is my favorite, every time I visit Tropea, I always come back to this restaurant ☺️
