29/04/2026: Beautiful place. Quality food. We had grilled fish and swordfish gratin rolls. The grilled fish wasn't very generous, but the rolls were delicious and excellent value.

24/04/2026: I've rarely had satisfying appetizers, first courses, or main courses. Yet here, ALL the fish is top-quality, from the appetizers to the raw fish (which borders on excellent), from the main courses like fried fish with real olive oil and the freshest sardines, to the vegetable side dishes, which I highly recommend. Not to mention the wines. Congratulations!

29/11/2025: I visited La Pignata and was truly impressed. The restaurant is welcoming, well-maintained, and has an authentic atmosphere reminiscent of Calabrian tradition. The dishes are generous, beautifully presented, and prepared with fresh ingredients. I particularly appreciated the quality of the meat and the intense flavors of the traditional dishes, cooked according to tradition. The service is friendly and fast, and the prices are fair for the quality offered. This place is definitely worth a visit if you want to eat well and rediscover the authentic flavors of the area. Highly recommended!

19/11/2025: The food was delicious and plentiful. Typical Calabrian cuisine that seemed to never stop coming to the table. The casa vino was spectacular.

29/11/2025: The food was amazing, and the waiters were divided between some who were unprofessional and seemed to be making comments and jokes about the customers while chatting among themselves, and others who were super professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. I booked with the Fork, and the discount wasn't applied initially (after waiting 15 minutes for the bill at the table), so when I pointed it out, they recalculated the bill manually and brought it back after another 10 minutes of waiting. Highly recommended if you want good food at reasonable prices!

19/05/2026: I'm only reviewing the restaurant. It's actually the only one in the area open during the day. The pizzas are freshly made, delicious, and the service is friendly. The place is quiet, even though it's on the road.

17/05/2026: We were there for dinner, so there's no room review 😁 The food was delicious, the seafood pizza was very good, and the pasta was also good. The nonno pizza was good, the carbonara pasta was spicy, and the egg was a bit too hard, but it all went together well.

25/05/2026: The best restaurant in tropea, so good that we had to go back 2 days later. One of the best meals I have ever had in my life you could not ask for more, lovely pasta, unreal swordfish and the tuna steak was the best cut of fish I have ever eaten. Atmosphere was also amazing, playing great music and off the main strip so none of the classic tourist trap stuff. Could not recommend more to anyone visiting Tropea

25/01/2026: My family and I arrived in Nicotera Marina from Argentina to visit the town where my father, Jose Di Giorgio, was born. We stayed at the Hotel Nautilus and received a warm welcome from Tonino. We were given a beautiful and comfortable room. We enjoyed breakfasts with delicious coffees and fruit juices. For dinner, we savored typical regional dishes: swordfish, seafood, and fresh fish, all expertly prepared! It was an excellent stay, discovering a beautiful town with stunning beaches and breathtaking sunsets. I highly recommend the hotel and hope to return. Thank you, Tonino and his staff, for your hospitality and service; we felt right at home. Best regards!

13/12/2025: We had lunch at this restaurant today. The welcome was perfect, and the owner was incredibly attentive. He pampered us by seating us in a more private and quiet room since we arrived with our sleeping baby. He then explained the menu and recommended dishes. We had a traditional appetizer, followed by onion soup and spaghetti with fish, followed by fried calamari and chips. Everything was delicious, the service was top-notch, and the owner's presence was a real pleasure. We're so happy to have discovered this highly recommended little place; we'll definitely be back.

09/10/2025: I stayed at the hotel for two nights with a friend and ate at the restaurant one evening. -The hotel is fantastic. It's in a fantastic location right in the heart of Tropea, and we were even lucky enough to have a small balcony overlooking the square. The breakfast was good, and the coffee was delicious. -The food was good. The enthusiastic owner gave us great recommendations for fresh food and treated us to local delicacies. 03/10/2025: The Blue Bay beach and kiosk are those "oases in the desert" that I'm happy to find in this earthly paradise. Courtesy, a smile, kindness, professionalism, and a desire to do their job to the fullest. Family-run, this small beach has everything you need for wonderful days at the beach. Discovered by chance on a September day, far from the summer chaos, it gave us a relaxing and pleasant Sunday. Perhaps the space between the loungers is a bit small, but I understand they try to make the most of the small beach. Oh, and a small note: if they let you enjoy the sunset after closing time, be good: "Close the loungers and umbrella!" Kindness demands kindness! Highly recommended

25/08/2025: Off the beaten path, you'll find authentic cuisine. Pizzeria Ristorante San Francesco offers just that: traditional Calabrian cuisine, as it should be. Following Google's info (thanks to reviewers), we found this place. There's no showy display designed to impress (the exterior doesn't attract tourists, but perhaps that's a good thing). But inside, the truth comes through: excellent ingredients will win you over. A few dishes, but enough to get to know the area, all homemade with home-grown vegetables (grown directly by the owners). The first courses are delicious, as are the appetizers, pizzas, and second courses. But even the wait before tasting excellent Fileja alla Norma or alla Calabrese is worth it. The flavor explodes in your mouth. Simple, yet genuine and sincere, flavors that are missing from the surrounding tourist restaurants. Added to this is a rare kindness and courtesy that make the dinner even more enjoyable and make you say: I'll be back again (which we did). If you have a car and want to experience the simplicity of Calabrian flavors, I recommend going there—it's really worth it. We've been back three times. Congratulations.
