06/12/2024: bellissimo locale curato e pulito al centro di serra san bruno. cucina eccellente con piatti veramente molto saporiti e abbondanti consiglio maialino ai frutti.. una vera delizia per il palato..consiglio se vi trovate da quelle parti di fermarvi in questo posto.

18/11/2024: I was there just yesterday with my family, nothing to say! The dishes were one better than the other, the boy who welcomed us and then served us was of impeccable professionalism and unique friendliness, he loves his job and it shows! The rest of the staff were also very friendly and helpful! The environment is really welcoming, it feels very "homey", you immediately feel at ease... Not only do I recommend it, but I will definitely return!

14/12/2025: Beautiful Christmas-themed evening with bingo. We had a lot of fun and ate very well. We will definitely be back.

16/11/2025: We stayed recently on our way down from the Italian Midlands to Sicily, quite a long drive and the hotel was chosen mainly for its location, very close to the motorway exit and with a car park. We were greeted by a pleasant gentleman at the reception and went up to our room. It looked like we were the only hotel guests. The room was ok but certainly all rather tired and dated. We went for a walk along the seafront which was only about 100m from the hotel. The highlight of the evening was the excellent restaurant for sure! Great meal, good service and also super value for money, top marks. A birthday group attended for dinner and the catering was very well organized. We left the next morning after a rather poor breakfast. Not bad but for sure NOT a 4 star hotel.

23/11/2025: An incredible place, a magic and charm that's impossible to explain. I arrived there by chance and felt welcomed as if I were with friends I already knew because the atmosphere provides that – simplicity in the way you are received, but with glamour, great drinks, cheerful music, a feeling of freedom that makes you not want to leave!! I can't wait to go back.

25/09/2025: We didn't even wait a minute for a table, they were very efficient! The place was so pleasant and quiet that it even seemed closed.

30/10/2025: This is the second campsite; it's at the end of the road. Frankly, compared to what we've seen, it's certainly not luxurious, but it's clean. A man comes by every morning to clean the restrooms; they're a bit worn, but still clean. The staff are very pleasant. It's very well located for the beach (direct access) and for visiting the town. For your information, we've been traveling for a month, so we've encountered some less than ideal, less clean campsites for this time of year.

21/10/2025: We stayed for 4 days and had a wonderful time. The location was excellent, very close to the sea. Efficient and comfortable services, close to the historic center. I highly recommend it.

19/07/2025: Sara och Antonio som driver Caffè del Corso är mycket trevliga. Deras glass och tartufo är riktigt bra. Antonio gör egen bergamottlikör som han gör goda spritz av.

14/10/2025: Cozy, peaceful place - without excessive luxury, but with friendly and helpful staff. Slightly worn apartments with sparse furniture and fixtures. Gas stove and small refrigerator as well as patio furniture. Large pool area. Buildings and outdoor areas need maintenance/upgrading. Half board is recommended (good food!) in the cozy restaurant, as there are over 1 km to eateries and shops - along a road not suitable for people with walking difficulties. A sad detail is that the many sweet and cuddly cats that live on site need better care and especially treatment for infectious eye inflammation, which makes most of them blind.

31/07/2025: Excellent, everything, a very pleasant evening, beautiful location, excellent food (especially the chopped purple shrimp with ricotta cream, exceptional), and, last but not least, the service. Despite the professionalism, there's also dialogue, sharing, a restaurant that combines elegance and excellent service with extreme availability. Highly recommended, also thanks to Marco, the man who guided us throughout our tasting experience, always discreet but available, kind, and knowledgeable. Prices were fair and justified, in my opinion. The live music in the background was pleasant. We'll be back.

14/06/2025: Lovely resort, attentive and professional staff, thanks to chef Rocco, who made us taste super excellent dishes. Finally I want to thank the director of the resort for his courtesy, availability and kindness.

08/09/2025: The location is lovely, offering a beautiful view of the Tropea sea. We were greeted by a very friendly and helpful young man, but unfortunately, the man taking our orders arrived as soon as we were seated, rushing us, making it impossible to choose our dishes. He was also quite annoyed. Despite everything, we ate reasonably well, except for the first course, which, strangely, arrived less than five minutes later, so we assumed it was already ready. The tuna steak with onion was good, but I would pay more attention to the plating.

03/09/2025: I'll be brief because I almost never leave negative reviews, but I didn't feel like a tourist here, so I had to warn you. As soon as we arrived, they told us the starters weren't available. We asked for the tuna steak to be cooked more, which was brought without asking us how cooked it was. They said no because they had already closed the kitchen. 3 PM? Maybe 3:30 PM max? I asked to charge my phone and was told, "Madam, we're about to close, remember to take it back." So, a 5-minute charge was a blessing. Then they hadn't even asked for coffee yet, and the cashier lady, as she passed by, asked me to settle the bill because they were closing the counter. 😐 Well, now tell me, in a seaside place like Tropea, should tourists be served like this? I gave it 3 stars only for the view and the food, otherwise I would have given it 1 or 2 stars at most.

27/10/2025: Frozen seafood appetizers preserved in oil. Linguine full of oil. Seafood pasta full of oil but tasty. Desserts inedible. Fried fish generous and average. Pasta with tomato sauce acceptable.

12/10/2025: Both the pizza and the rotisserie are excellent. The owner is friendly and helpful.

04/10/2025: Very friendly and attentive waiters with good advice on wine (grandpa) we went there twice the pizzas and pasta were very good

25/08/2025: Deeply disappointed. Thinking back to several years ago, I find the truffles smaller, the fillings minimal, and the prices have almost tripled. I understand the inflation, but there seems to have been a dramatic change in direction in the business. The truffles aren't like they used to be, but they're still good, but like others, so I'll go elsewhere for future purchases given the price.

25/08/2025: I agree with the previous reviewer. €4 per piece for takeout is excessive. I urge the owners to update the price poster where it says €3.

10/09/2025: The place is very nice, strategically located, and we ate well. The service was efficient, the dishes arrived relatively quickly, and the waiter (or owner) who served us was slightly suspicious and a bit too serious, but he still managed to do his job.

22/10/2025: Disappointing experience. Unfortunately, my stay at Agriturismo Il Borgo sul Lago was very disappointing. The pool was dirty and poorly maintained, the mosquito nets were broken, and the air conditioning filters were completely dusty. Overall, the entire property lacked maintenance: old furnishings, poorly maintained spaces, and poor housekeeping. I also found animals in the rooms, which gave me a strong sense of neglect. The location and potential of the place are good, but it needs more careful and professional management: as it is, I would not recommend it.

23/09/2025: My experience was, unfortunately, terrible. Room cleaning was nonexistent: hygiene didn't seem to be a priority at all. I found hair stuck to the shower stall, yellowed fixtures, limescale buildup, and obvious mold. Comfort was zero. The mattress absolutely needed replacing: visibly decades old, stained, and completely sagging. It was impossible to even think of sleeping on it without wondering how much bacteria it might contain. Furthermore, the bed frame itself was literally collapsing: unstable and tilted to one side. Security also left much to be desired. The electrical outlets were exposed, unprotected: a moment could be enough to risk an electric shock. Finally, breakfast was truly poor and of questionable quality, with products that seemed substandard. In short, one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. It's absolutely not worth the money and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
