15/09/2025: A culinary gem in the heart of Tropea I was fortunate enough to discover this Italian restaurant during my visit to Tropea this summer. From the very first moment, the atmosphere envelops you: warm, welcoming, and full of the typical charm of southern Italy. The outdoor tables overlooking the picturesque streets make every meal feel special, whether day or night. The staff was friendly, attentive, and very professional, always smiling. You can tell they enjoy what they do and want every customer to have an unforgettable experience. Every dish we tried was perfectly prepared, with fresh and authentic ingredients. The pizzas, in particular, deserve a special mention: light and crispy dough, sauce with the perfect balance of sweetness and acidity, and topping combinations that respect Italian tradition while still surprising. We also tried pastas and appetizers, and everything was of an extremely high standard. If you're in Tropea and looking for a place to eat really well, enjoy a charming atmosphere, and feel welcomed from the moment you walk in until you leave, you can't miss this restaurant. 14/10/2025: We really had a great time! I had a delicious gluten-free pizza. Both gluten-free and gluten-free options were available. The crust isn't homemade, but it's a good-quality artisanal one. The place is spacious, clean, and seafront. Very friendly and helpful staff. Quick service!

01/10/2025: Pizzeria-style service, but unfortunately there's no restaurant here: there's a cover charge, but you have to ask for bread. The rotisserie is subpar, and the dishes are sparse. The prices, however, are those of a high-end restaurant.

25/10/2025: 1 star because it's not possible to give it 0. We waited 1.40 hours for a pizza that we didn't even eat, because in desperation we left at 10.40pm (we arrived at 9pm). Two of us had ordered a fried food, which arrived quite quickly, but it's unthinkable to let only part of the table eat while the others stand around and watch. Two pizzas are baked every 30 minutes. Get ready, because at this rate you won't get far. The bill was incredibly high, basically €75 for two fried foods with a side salad and two portions of chips. Highly not recommended.

06/10/2025: Mediocre food for Italy. The octopus on my pasta was anywhere to find. The muscles on the past were mostly closed and some tasted not good. Beer was warm. Service was good. View was amazing

30/07/2025: The food and staff make the difference in a restaurant that specializes in seafood, but also has plenty of flavor for its meat dishes. Beyond the ingredients, the presentation of the dishes is interesting, some of which are truly original.

01/10/2025: Spacious, informal restaurant, no architectural barriers, easy parking. Roman-style pizza, thin crust, but tough and a bit dry. Service could be improved; wait times are too long, even though it's off-season. Excellent prices.

23/08/2025: The service was adequate, the maître d' was very kind and friendly, but the food, on the other hand, left much to be desired. The grilled meat was burned, and spending €35 for a dish that simply tasted burnt isn't ideal. The caramelized onion tasted too vinegary, the tuna (from the tuna with Tropea onions dish) tasted more like boiled than cooked, and the fried calamari was too tough. Furthermore, you could tell the oil it was fried in wasn't the best, probably having been used too many times. The prices were not in line with the quality of the food served.

19/08/2025: A shabby trattoria, where you eat in a plastic tent with dim lights. The staff is unsuitable for table service, rude and awkward. Meager dishes and exorbitant prices. I ordered paccheri allo scoglio and was served five cold paccheri. Not recommended! Unworthy of the name "fish trattoria."

03/10/2025: This is how our vacation was, 3 couples with 5 children aged between 1 and 5 years. A vacation of over 6000 euros for 7 days, 6 of which were with parties. They shamelessly lie to the National Authority for Consumer Protection, They say that "the music stops promptly at midnight", attached you have the evidence !!!! We come to relax, the children to rest at night... this is not relaxation, and the music does not stop PROMPTLY as far as you can see! We have more videos to be posted! Thank you! P.S. We came to a "RESORT" for a lot of money, not to an events salon !!!! Mention this wherever you advertise!

20/09/2025: The hotel is in a very nice location. Spacious room with a beautiful view of Stromboli. Excellent breakfast. The restaurant is excellent, but lacks variety, especially fish. The wait staff and reception staff are very kind and helpful. The only slightly tiring thing is the numerous stairs.

21/10/2025: Quite okay—considering it's in a beautiful location, you can say that. They don't speak a word of English, but they're helpful. The coffee and cake were also okay. The furniture and decor are a matter of taste... but the view is nice.

11/10/2025: We had an okay meal at Hostaria Italiana. Our food was broadly okay, I ordered a pasta dish and my partner some fish. The fish was overcooked and my pasta with Tropea onions was nice, but not as good as others nearby. Good option if you’re just looking for something quick.

14/07/2025: Assolutamente da evitare. Io sono stata in molte pizzerie napoletane ma questa la peggiore...bordo alto...bello all'apparenza ma poi mangiandola pizza con mozzarella fredda e appena appena sciolta. Bordo crudo all interno e bruciato fuori. Calzone con impasto tutto crudo.mai più. E in più abbiamo aspettato 50 minuti e quando ho detto che ne ne sarei andata è arrivata dopo 5 minuti

25/10/2025: The food is disgusting. They sell supermarket-style pre-pizza pizzas: inedible. The toasted pizza was fried; we had to throw it away. Only good for a snack.

20/07/2025: Servizio al tavolo molto lento, all esterno eravamo solo due tavoli. Brioches TOP, Gelato buonissimo, uccide tutto il fatto che la brioches resta vuota perchè utilizzano delle micropalline (una per gusto), Distruggono cosi la qualita degli ingredienti non sapendo fare ne un cono gelato ne una brioches gelato (nel cono non mettono le palline). Capisco che è un di luogo di passaggio per turisti, ma per chi sa cos è un gelato come si deve, resta deluso! Se volete godervi l esperienza non andate oltre la coppetta.

17/07/2025: Durante la vacanza siamo stati due volte alla Marinella. Il gelato è favoloso così anche la brioche con il gelato. Anche il salato è buono (focaccia a trancio). Merita di andarci

26/09/2025: Maxbar is an absolute gem in Tropea! The atmosphere is so warm and inviting, you instantly feel at ease. Perfectly located with outstanding service that makes every visit memorable. Huge thanks to Massimo, Evelyn, and the whole team for their wonderful hospitality. I’ll definitely be returning and if you go, don’t miss out on the Jakus Margarita, it’s exceptional!
