03/05/2025: Delicious pizza and sandwich! Very kind staff. After I accidentally spilled my drink on part of my pizza, I asked the waiter if he could kindly bring me an empty plate to replace it, in response I received a new pizza, complimented by the owner.🍕

07/06/2025: The best coffee place in terms of price and quality. We took 4 coffees and 6 pastries and we paid around 12 euro. The service is amaizng, we came back the bext day and they remembered the coffee we order the day before. I hardly recommend the pastry with the chocolate cream that you see on my picture.

13/09/2025: I ordered takeout from the pizzeria and restaurant "La Speranza," and it was an exceptional experience. I was craving some delicious fried calamari, and it was a top-notch dish: the calamari was incredibly fresh, crispy, well-seasoned, and melt-in-your-mouth flavor. The takeout service was prompt, and the staff was courteous. The owner, Mr. Raffaele, was always attentive and friendly. Even though I ate at home, the restaurant's atmosphere was welcoming and inviting, and I can't wait to dine there in person to savor other specialties from the menu.

19/07/2025: Voglio andare controcorrente rispetto alla moda di cercare la modernità a tutti i costi, elogiando questo luogo che sembra sospeso in un tempo passato. Entrando nel ristorante-pizzeria Maris tutto, ma proprio tutto, sembra essersi fermato agli anni '80. Come sono apparecchiati i tavoli, il tipo di tovaglia (che non risale certo a quegli anni, ma li ricorda assolutamente), le luci, i bicchieri, le confezioni di grissini!!! Dove le trovate più?! E il menù non è da meno: risotto alla pescatora (che non è niente male), ravioli ripieni di pesce e conditi con un sugo a base di panna (altrove è quasi un reato!) e salmone, un antipasto di mare con il cocktail di gamberi in salsa rosa (un must degli anni '80!), l'insalatina di mare servita nella conchiglia, le frittelle di zucchine...etc etc. Un tuffo nel passato, ma molto piacevole! Atmosfera rilassata, anche il personale ha divise e modi cortesi di un tempo. In sottofondo musica, generalmente italiana, anch'essa vintage. In definitiva, un locale amarcord dove si mangia complessivamente bene, con un'ampia scelta di piatti e di pizze "alla calabrese" (senza seguire la moda degli impasti contemporanei, con tot ore di lievitazione e idratazione alla percentuale tot...che un po' hanno anche stancato). Consigliatissimo per i nostalgici e per chi vuole mangiare rilassandosi in un'atmosfera garbata d'altri tempi.

06/08/2025: Last night I had dinner in this bar restaurant, at first everything was very inviting, the location expectations about the food were clearly inflated, reluctantly being Roman and reading that on the menu they had typical Roman dishes not that sacred we decided to try them a carbonara and an amatriciana both served very late even if we were the only ones to consume in the establishment and waiting a long time compared to the rest of the courses, the first the carbonara American style with shameful cream rich in salt with overcooked pasta and the amatriciana served with tomato and basil, sending it back instead of removing it from the bill and apologizing both for not having informed of the variation from the usual thousand-year-old recipe we were charged anyway really speechless, I advised the establishment to write for each individual dish the components of the ingredients both for the risk of allergies and for fairness towards a customer who is used to eating products that have a name and expects at least in Italy to find them as such.. it's really true that not all that glitters is gold wasted and poorly managed activity TOTAL VADEVECUM !

28/07/2025: Five stars aren't enough: after a spectacular meat-based dinner and after tasting a few cocktails unlike my usual ones, I can say that this place stands out for excellence, in every respect!

26/08/2025: 2021: Always top notch. 2020: On vacation in Amantea, we always stop at Pasticceria Torchia. The gelato is delicious, the best I've had in the area, with a wide selection of flavors, all excellent. The filled croissants are also truly delicious. I recommend it. 2019: I'm on vacation in Amantea, and I've already been to this pastry shop twice, and both times I was very satisfied. We had some really good gelato. The almond, peanut, walnut, and pistachio flavors are truly amazing. I recommend trying them.

26/08/2025: A place that saves itself on the corner, the food is 3 stars, the service is 4 stars, the atmosphere is 2 stars, the bar isn't the best but it saved itself, it's not that disgusting, it's just so good

18/08/2025: For excellent pizzas or authentic carbonara, try the terrace instead, which is less glamorous. Fast and coordinated service. More than affordable prices. 35cm pizzas and extra fresh produce.
