06/08/2024: It never disappoints. This restaurant has been there for many years and, unlike several around here, it gets better all the time. The food was amazing, from appetisers to dessert, each dish was a joy to the eyes but most importantly to the palate. My highlight was the octopus in the picture. Sublime! Service was a bit confusing to begin with, QR menus for me are a covid-era thing and the app they use allows for ordering in, which wasn't needed. Once this issue was solved, everything went smoothly. We were a multilingual group and, amazingly around this area, the waiter could help in more than one! Eating outdoors in a nice pergola amidst the medieval urban landscape is the cherry on top. A must when in the north of Calabria!

19/07/2024: Returning to Scocchieri was a wonderful dive into the past. Always excellent ice cream and desserts. The staff are friendly and above all they put you in a good mood! Courtesy and attention to the customer from generation to generation. Well done! I hope to return to Locri soon.

20/08/2024: If you are hungry don't go there!!! We sat down at 8.10pm, we were served the wine after 20 minutes (glasses and not a bottle) and the appetizer (cheeses, some fried foods, onions and a particular omelette) after 1 hour or more. The starter arrives at 9.10pm/3pm, all in all average. We still wait, visibly embarrassed staff... We stop the two first courses we had ordered (still not started by the chef). We leave with a semi-empty stomach with an appetizer for two and two glasses of now warm wine. I asked them the courtesy of not charging us and they agreed. I can't make any other assessments as I didn't eat almost anything, a real shame because I would have preferred more transparency given that there can be difficulties in the kitchen. Go elsewhere if you can... almost no one ate and it wasn't fully booked. The place is certainly suggestive in a strategic position but it turned out to be an unpleasant evening. Consider carefully those who enter...

18/08/2024: Slow and inattentive service. The red prawn risotto worth reviewing, a €20 dish that cannot be overcooked, with a brothy sauce and a non-existent tartare (there were 3 whole prawns). For the rest of the starters (Alice and Paese) very good!

04/08/2024: Superb pizza with exceptional ingredients. It maintains its level over the years. The problem is the organization of Saturday evening. Unset tables (the pizza arrives but you don't have cutlery). To order you have to wait for the guys who take the orders because they forget that you are waiting for them. You ask for coffees and they don't arrive. Climate not regulated correctly (it's too hot). In short, the service should be made more attentive but most of the staff are always polite and have a smile for everyone (especially the guys who serve upstairs). Rating 4 out of 5 encouragement. Thank you!

27/07/2024: Excellent pizza in a welcoming environment. Very professional and very friendly staff. Especially Cristian who, in addition to the pizzas, brought a lot of friendliness and sweetness to our table. Super recommended place to spend a few hours relaxing a stone's throw from the most beautiful seafront in Italy. We will be back! 😊👍

26/08/2024: Il Lido Costa Azzurra è stato una piacevolissima scoperta durante la nostra vacanza a Cariati Marina. Gestito dai fratelli Nicola e Andrea, questo lido si distingue per la cordialità e la professionalità dei suoi proprietari. Nicola ha un carisma naturale che ti fa sentire subito tra amici, sempre pronto a scambiare due chiacchiere e a coinvolgere tutti con il suo spirito vivace. La vera sorpresa, però, è stata la cucina di Andrea. Le sue pizze e panzerotti sono una delizia assoluta, preparati con ingredienti freschi e un’attenzione che si nota al primo morso. Se amate i sapori autentici, qui troverete esattamente ciò che cercate. Il lido è impeccabile in termini di pulizia e organizzazione. Gli spazi sono curati in ogni dettaglio, garantendo un’esperienza rilassante e confortevole. Inoltre, abbiamo avuto il piacere di trascorrere alcune serate facendo aperitivo mentre ammiravamo splendidi tramonti. Quei momenti, con la brezza marina e il cielo che si tingeva di colori meravigliosi, sono stati davvero indimenticabili. Se vi trovate a Cariati Marina, non potete perdervi il Lido Costa Azzurra. È il luogo perfetto per trascorrere una giornata al mare, gustare ottimi piatti e concludere la giornata con un aperitivo al tramonto. Nicola e Andrea vi faranno sentire come a casa!

19/08/2024: Siamo stati in questo ristorante il 17 agosto, eravamo in 14 tra adulti e bambini… iniziamo con ordinare un antipasto veloce, d ci consigliano la sardella, con la focaccia, su questo nullla da dire… Ordiniamo le pizze per i bambini, e ovviamente non ci aspettavamo la pizza napoletana,infatti non era buonissima ma va bene così, per essere in Calabria… noi adulti abbiamo ordinato i primi piatti, abbiamo atteso un ora per averli, spaghetti a vongole, senza sapore sembrava pasta scolata e messa a tavola…. Ma non abbiamo detto nulla… richiediamo il conto, e sentiamo dire a uno dei camerieri, porta il conto a temtetion island… in modo dispregiativo, solo xke eravamo napoletani, abbiamo pagato e ringraziato perché siamo napoletani, e siamo dei signori, e a napoli abbiamo le attività, e sappiamo che il cliente va trattato con i guanti… detto questo restate nel vostro bel ristorantino da turisti di passaggio, ma cercate di trattare le persone come si deve….

23/08/2024: The best rotisserie ever in Melito. Fresh products, fair prices. Availability of tables inside, few but comfortable.

17/01/2024: The place is nice and welcoming. Wide choice on the menu, even for beers. The sandwich, the piadina, the onion rings and especially the potatoes were good. The service is quick and efficient, the staff friendly. Finally, the prices are a little above average.

18/07/2024: Sono stata in questo bar con amici per prendere un gelato e devo dire che siamo incappati in un cameriere tanto maleducato quanto sgradevole. Stavamo ordinando, ma vista la tanta attesa che abbiamo fatto e la grande maleducazione con cui si è rivolto il cameriere ci siamo alzati e c'è ne siamo andati e mai più ci metteremo piede. Sconsiglio vivamente.

20/08/2024: The top all very good, logically like grandma's, fresh pasta, excellent arancini, excellent meat roll, nice and substantial, mouth-watering, Federica is very nice despite the public trying to stress her in every way as they don't know the dynamics of the service, so what can I say to recommend and to return for sure. Parking outside the room with 40 seats, preferable to take away, room with air conditioning, there are no architectural barriers to entry, I can't say anything about the bathrooms, I didn't use them.
