16/10/2025: One of the few still open. We arrived at 4 PM, but they made themselves available for a delicious plate of spaghetti with clams. There's no need to say more about the view.

13/10/2025: Lovely spot open all year with drinks and nibbles. Run by a great chap, Lorenzo, who is very friendly and helpful and professional. Definitely our regular beach spot while were in Paola

19/12/2025: Truly awful staff!! Last night, I went for a hot chocolate with my boyfriend. It was truly inedible, diluted with water. When I pointed this out, the Albanian waitress initially refused to even change it for me, and argued that the portions were correct. However, it was truly inedible, and I'd already had it once and it was good, so I don't think the portions were correct. Then I pointed it out again to a waiter of Albanian origin (I'm not saying this out of racism, but just to make the person in question accountable). He was truly arrogant and rude towards me. Only after the waitress was convinced to change it for me, but honestly, I no longer felt like it after their behavior towards me. I should point out, however, that they didn't charge me for it. I highly recommend reviewing the staff, especially when the boss isn't there. The way they behaved, they don't even deserve a star, but I wouldn't be able to post a comment.

09/08/2025: Unpretentious, mediocre street-front location, poorly maintained, food from a menu with per-course prices typical of a respectable restaurant. Unfortunately, what we ate didn't reflect its value at all. Nothing fresh was present, and the products were defrosted, as stated on the menu, lacking flavor or culinary expertise. A steep bill for bland dishes.

09/01/2026: The best cornettos with chocolate ever, soft, fluffy and crispy at the same time. Also ordered a cake for my birthday, which was wonderful🫶🫶🫶

The cakes are always delicious, meticulously crafted and made with passion—true works of art that combine flavor and heart. During the Christmas holidays, their artisanal panettone is a must: soft, fragrant, and made with quality ingredients and lots of love. Aside from their skill, what's always impressive is the kindness and helpfulness of Danilo and his family: they always welcome you with a smile and make every request possible. In short, a must-try for anyone who loves delicious, authentic desserts made with love.

25/12/2025: I wanted to share my extremely negative experience with the elderly gentleman at the bar. I asked if they could heat up some bottle water for my baby, who was crying—I should point out that she's just a 3-month-old baby—and the gentleman said no, because the machines were turned off because he had just heated up some appetizer snacks in the microwave. I should also point out that it's a bar where we often stopped for appetizers. But obviously, he won't be seeing us or our friends and relatives again.

15/10/2025: Excellent coffee and cocktails. Kudos to the waiter with the ponytail for his professionalism and the cocktail he recommended.

22/11/2025: I'm giving one star because otherwise I won't be able to publish the review, but for me it's worth zero. Rude and arrogant staff There were four of us... First, they made us wait over half an hour to get in, with a table reserved for 8:30 PM. Then we finally sat down, after a long wait, we ordered, and it took two hours for the pizza to arrive. We complained to the staff several times, and they complained several times... Finally, these pizzas arrived Cold and hard, like a stone, if you slammed it against the wall, it would come back... While we were eating, I noticed there was a hair in the pizza. I called the staff, highlighting the hair, and the lady rightly apologized right away. Not only that, you'll also get a terrible stomach ache. We had stomach cramps all night. An unforgettable evening... They'll never see me again. The worst pizzeria I've ever had in my life.

17/12/2025: A modern restaurant with simple, clean lines and a very clean and pleasant view. The pizza was excellent, and the staff were delightful. A special thanks to the younger woman who served us, a truly charming person.

25/09/2025: What a way to ruin everything that took years to build! It used to be a restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere, reasonable prices, and delicious food. I loved Tegamino (zuppa di cozze) there. They ruined the taste of the food, raised the prices, and hired rude waiters. Da evitare!

25/08/2025: The best pizza in Scalea and definitely one of the best I've ever eaten. Don't let the somewhat spartan location fool you: the quality of the pizza is absolutely worth trying. Super fresh ingredients, perfect dough, and exceptional flavor. Highly recommended!

05/02/2026: 80s-style place, service? What kind? 2 spaghetti with lupini beans and mussels plus a bottle of Cirò wine, from a discount store, 50 euros! For lunch. If it had been a nice place... Never again!

22/12/2025: The cappuccino was good—a regular cappuccino, really. I also had a cylindrical pistachio croissant. As for the croissant, I'd say it was definitely made in the morning (at least I hope so) because it was very hard. As for the flavor, it was obviously good, as expected, but nothing exceptional. In short, it was visually appealing, but in practice, it's nothing special. A word of advice: if you don't make croissants in the afternoon, at least don't sell the morning ones, because they're not the best.

12/12/2025: Barbuscio's croissants are truly delicious, especially the Kinder Bueno croissant, which I adore... The staff is always kind and available to meet every customer need.
