08/05/2026: Beautifully restored restaurant but quiet atmosphere in early May. Great views, wonderful side garden, good service, reasonably priced local wines. Personal view so dont let it put you off, as this is an attempt at innovative fine dining - chef-ified and de-rusticated. Calabria...but food didn't really do it for us. Pasta itself good... but soggy ravioli (split or intentional? unsure) and powdered mint spinkled artichoke pasta creation mainly lemon flavoured. Both veal and lamb rib chops seemed slow cooked...odd choice for these cuts rendering a grey meat albeit with intense sauces to restore. Prefer de-chef-ified re-rusticated Calabria.

25/04/2026: Typical Civita cuisine revisited in the style of Chef Gregorio Buccolieri, a welcoming atmosphere, a beautiful garden area with outdoor dining options, and friendly and professional staff. Excellent service and a good wine list, the cuisine is delicate and tasty. The meatballs with creamed carrots are delicious. Homemade leavened and baked goods are also available. The menu changes with the seasons and the carefully selected ingredients. Good value, reservations recommended.

04/05/2026: To date, in my opinion, it's among the three best pizzerias in the entire province of Reggio Calabria. The ingredients are top-quality, the dough is excellent, and the staff's kindness always makes all the difference. Not to mention the selection of craft beers. I travel miles from home just to eat a pizza of this quality. Prices are completely average.

The food was excellent, high-quality, and enjoyed by all the guests. The staff was helpful and the organization impeccable. Highly recommended for parties and important events!

22/01/2026: Our visit to Osteria San Francesco on June 8th, 2025, was a wonderful experience. Francesco welcomed us warmly and offered us seats on the terrace. I had the impression he was a little surprised that we wanted to eat there with 10 people. He immediately called his brother Massimo, who prepared the kitchen. Several other helpers also arrived to assist Massimo with the cooking. The Osteria is somewhat hidden away on a small, steeply rising road. The dining rooms aren't very large, but there's also a grotto, a room carved directly into the mountainside. Francesco and Massimo are very friendly and they made our evening truly enjoyable. The food, prepared by Massimo, was excellent. It's safe to say that the Osteria team knows how to cook. If we're ever in the area again, we will definitely return.

The property is in an enchanting location, ideal for families, surrounded by nature and overlooking a picturesque lake that offers relaxing views at any time of day. The rooms are welcoming, clean, and well-maintained, equipped with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The quiet and tranquility of the location make this hotel ideal for those who want to unwind and recharge. The staff was friendly and helpful; Simone is always ready to satisfy every request with professionalism and courtesy. Compliments to the chef, Simone's wife, whom we didn't meet but who treated us to excellent dishes. The breakfast was also excellent, varied and made with quality products, perfect for starting the day with energy. I highly recommend this hotel for both a romantic getaway and a relaxing holiday in the splendid setting of Sila. I will definitely be back!

13/04/2026: A fantastic hotel in a prime location for outdoor sports activities. The owner is exceptionally helpful, friendly, and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent, plentiful, and featured regional products. The short distance to the highway (5 minutes) also makes arrival very convenient. I highly recommend this hotel!

22/02/2026: In the mountains near San Donato di Ninea, there's a mountain hut, Baita Malieni, family-run first by Luigi (the father) and now (with his father, but not necessarily) by his son Giuseppe. Both are exceptional, welcoming guests with the same warmth that's found inside the hut: finally, a truly heated restaurant/pizzeria. We ate delicious dishes: from appetizers to first courses, meat-based main courses, pizza, and desserts. There was nothing that wasn't a delight. Everything was divine. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
