23/05/2025: Welcoming place, very kind owners and impeccable service… I have been coming to Polistena from Turin since I was born, and not even in Turin have I found such attention, especially towards children… many raw materials are local and the menu is truly complete and varied. Excellent quality but above all everything is really good! In addition to the restaurant, a great wine shop… those who know how to work and do it with passion also transmit it in the food, and here it shows!!! Congratulations!

I have been frequenting this little gastronomic jewel for years, yet every visit manages to surprise me as if it were the first time. Hidden from the daily hustle and bustle, the place is intimate and welcoming, with an atmosphere that immediately invites you to relax. It is precisely this intimate dimension that contributes to making you feel at home, a sensation further amplified by the warm welcome of Giampiero and his family. Their genuine passion for catering shines through in every detail, from the attentive service to the sincere smiles that accompany each dish. The cuisine is an authentic triumph of territorial flavours. The meat dishes are prepared with skill, enhancing ingredients selected with obsessive care. Even the vegetable proposals reveal the same attention to raw materials and processing techniques, always proving tasty and never banal. Fast service, literally sitting down at the table the waiter already brings snacks and wine. The choice of dishes is not very large but sufficient. Mainly meat dishes and dishes with porcini mushrooms. There are parking spaces on the territory.

In fact there was a reason I must say high quality truly impeccable service the place is very nice and the price/quality ratio is practically unbeatable. Certainly among the best fish restaurants in Rende and Cosenza.

06/06/2025: Extremely high-quality food with great service in a fantastic atmosphere. I can recommend this restaurant to everyone when they're in Civita. I foolishly tried something else first and wasted an evening doing so. As for the food... The starter consisted of a delicious ball of carrot, bread, and almonds in a delicious carrot sauce. Next came a kind of potato croquette with bacon in an oregano sauce. Wow. To finish, there were three varieties of pecorino and a local ham. We regretted only asking for half a portion of the starter. It was delicious. For the main course, we had ragu bianco with homemade pasta, and for the second course, roast veal. The meat was divine and extremely tender. The sauce was light, and I drenched it all in the homemade bread. The homemade pasta was excellent. The ragu bianco was perfect. ``` We also ordered a great rosé from an excellent wine list (approx. 25 wines). The waiter gave us perfect advice. He was very friendly, and it was a pleasure to be served impeccably by him. The portions are sized so that you can truly enjoy the classic Italian menu, consisting of an appetizer, first course, and second course, without feeling gluttonous or hungry at the end of the meal. P.S. As a passionate amateur cook who has traveled extensively around the world, I have rarely been so impressed. Buon appetito P.S. The slight price difference compared to other restaurants is more than justified, because in the end, the service is simply many times better.

What truly sets this restaurant apart is its consistent focus on seasonal produce. From the moment the appetizer arrived, it was clear that freshness and quality are a priority.

We tried two dishes off the menu really delicious but I have no doubt that everything else is at the same level, given the attention and care of the owner and chef for more than thirty years Mr. Giacomo. 20/05/2025: The restaurant is located on the second floor, access is via an external staircase. As soon as you enter you notice the accuracy in the layout, you immediately breathe an air of welcome, small as a restaurant but very pleasant. The service is attentive and fast (I was very struck by the idea of ​​giving the children sheets of paper with drawings and colors, a sign that confirms their attention to detail)! We start immediately with a crocchettone and a mozzarella in carrozza (made by them) both delicious. Then the much vaunted pinza. I choose the one with fiordilatte, beef carpaccio, truffle, rocket, flakes of 24 month old Grana Padano... delicious, very light, crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, honeycomb, a sign that it has had a perfect leavening and maturation above all, (the next day it is as if I had not eaten anything)! My wife instead had a Fiordilatte, Smoked Scamorza, Porcini Mushrooms, Speck Alto Adige IGP Sudtirol, Granella di Pistacchio, which I tasted and it was equally delicious. The only flaw if we really want but like everything it's a matter of taste, I didn't like the tomato on my son's margherita, a sweetish note, almost like tomato concentrate, which didn't give credit to the perfection of this dough. And I would add to the wine list a Calabrian rosé like Pescanera, which goes wonderfully with pizza. Definitely highly recommended, I will return. Congratulations!
