03/01/2025: Pantagruel Ristorante eccellente. E quel nome e’ un impegno preciso, che incuriosisce e che non tradisce le aspettative. Già leggendo il menu sale l’acquolina in bocca, le proposte sono piatti raffinati negli accostamenti, ma anche di gran gusto. Ci sono tutti gli ingredienti d’eccellenza di un territorio ricco e generoso e dagli antipasti ai dessert e’ davvero tutto curato e buonissimo. Buona anche la cantina (anche se consiglierei di guardare anche un po’ più a sud per arricchire la proposta vini nazionali). Gentilissimo, cordiale e disponibile lo staff, che ti fa sentire a casa e questo fa la sua bella differenza. Consigliatissimo, noi ci torniamo molto volentieri la seconda sera.

Very nice atmosphere, good food, friendly staff. But what struck me, most of all, was the small reading corner, a beautiful idea!

03/05/2025: We booked for 9pm, we arrived on time and were told to wait with rude addresses. They told us to come in and didn't show us to the table. No one came to the table to take our orders, we asked the staff how long we had to wait and they said if we wanted to go we could easily leave. Terrible service and welcome. Not at all recommended in a place like Assisi where everyone treated us with extreme kindness apart from the staff at the Otello restaurant.

04/05/2025: Interesting and well located wine shop in the center of Spello. The choice of wines (understood as labels) is varied and focused on local wines; There is also a nice choice (I would even say refined and well selected) of labels from other regions. What impressed me was the service: the wine was brought to me with its own bottle and the "waitress" explained to me what I was drinking with a professionalism that I hadn't seen for a long time. I underline the courtesy and cheerful smile of the aforementioned person who made me feel at ease and welcome. The environment is beautiful! The beautiful fresh outdoor location. A place I will gladly return to for the quality and the great experience of drinking "just" a glass of wine. Good waitress (very knowledgeable about wines!!) Nice place. I will return and, like yesterday, I will buy more bottles. Thank you 😁👍🏼

03/05/2025: Bad experience in this supposed wine shop in Spello. As soon as we arrived we were greeted with an unwelcoming "But this is a wine shop!!" to our simple question if there was a free table. Only the person who said it knows the reason for that tone, but it certainly wasn't a good start. The recommended wine was decidedly poor: acidic, ungainly on the palate... but oh well, we can also say "it's tastes". What really leaves you speechless is the treatment we received: the other tables were offered tarallucci as an aperitif, but we were offered nothing, even though we had consumed much more than anyone else (a whole bottle, two bruschettas and a trio of olives). But the icing on the cake was the ice. They said they would bring it to us, then completely forgot about it. When we pointed out, they justified themselves by saying "We trusted that you had already finished the bottle". Too bad the bottle was still half full. And in any case the ice didn't arrive anyway. And let's talk about bruschetta: beware of scams. A tiny slice of bread with ONE drop of oil for €6.50. An exaggeration that borders on the ridiculous. The service? Facade smiles, but little professionalism and little attention. This is anything but a wine shop: little competence, little care and zero respect for the customer. We won't be back and we don't recommend it to anyone.

03/05/2025: Il nome del locale dice tutto. Cacciatore di malcapitati di passaggio, oltretutto anche in un bruttissimo posto, non nel paese. Titoloni per le varie portate nel menù con prezzi elevatissimi se rapportati alle esigue o quasi nulle quantità che ti porta realmente nei piatti. Qualità mediocre dei prodotti. Un giullare che decanta vini che nei peggiori supermercati trovi a prezzi inferiori e dolci dalle consistenze pari alle pietre. In 4 persone, due primi e due secondi, con tre dolci e una bottiglia di vino che il giullare diceva provenire da chissà quale cantina ovviamebtr del supermercato affianco, alla modica cifra di 160 euro. E poi abbiamo dovuto pensare a dove andare a mangiare.

02/02/2025: Siamo arrivati e ci siamo seduti alle 20:00 in punto e ci siamo alzati da tavola a mezzanotte, praticamente un ricevimento ad un matrimonio dura meno! Ho cenato diverse altre volte in ristoranti gourmet anche stellati ma mai una cena è durata così tanto, tempi inspiegabilmente biblici, mezzora di orologio tra il pre-dessert e il dessert. Si può scegliere tra tre diversi menù degustazione, i piatti sono curati, di ottima fattura e buonissime materie prime, alcuni abbinamenti azzardati ad esempio ostrica con porcini fermentati, il sapore di questi ultimi non pervenuto. Stessa cosa dicasi per i tagliolini la cui crema di carciofi copriva tutto il resto. Detto questo se dopo cena avevate programmato altro vi toccherà disdire, non si esce prima di 4 ore!

14/12/2024: Grazie per questo viaggio che ci ha fatto sognare, tutti gli studi dello chef li abbiamo ritrovati nei piatti e nella loro presentazione, eravamo dubbiosi sulla scelta del menù degustazione , invece si è rivelato una scoperta dietro l’altra….in questi anni sei cresciuto molto! Complimenti
