06/07/2026: The initial impression was a bit rude, but this gradually revealed itself to be a result of shyness, partly due to the young age of the staff. Tradition and food are respected, very good. I suggest stopping by and trying the fagiolina and the lake pasta dishes.

09/06/2026: Visited in the morning for coffee and pastries when it was quiet and empty, but I imagine it can get busy and loud at night. Expansive seating area. Dive bar feel. Service was friendly. Nice casual place to stop for a quick bite or drink if you're in the area.

13/06/2026: Best gelato in orveito for sure! The staff were amazing and the prices were great. For lunch and breakfast options there was so much to choose from and all delicious! The atmosphere was great. It was so clean in there and you can get great portions. Highly recommend!!

11/06/2026: Pleasant surprise in Orvietto. Espresso may be smoother than some prefer, but bakery items and food is tasty. The seating options from a pleasant patio to indoor spaces are nice, and service is great.

05/04/2026: A small, always busy place. You can watch the games and enjoy not just beer, but also soft drinks and wine. The wine selection is well-researched and quality. The platter for two is generous and more than satisfying. The fact that you'll find only locals here makes it clear that it's worth stopping in and enjoying a place that focuses on substance. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

31/03/2026: I have been coming to this characteristic restaurant for almost 30 years.

15/03/2026: I went to this restaurant a few days ago for lunch. The place is very nice, although a bit small, and the noise from the various diners obviously echoes, making it a bit annoying. I found the food very salty, and the vegetables I asked for sautéed were not only very salty but completely tasteless, with no oil, garlic, or chili pepper; all you could taste was the salt. Lastly, a word of caution about what they call torta al testo, which isn't actually torta al testo because it's simply a standard white pizza with toppings. I say this with full knowledge of the facts, as I've been making torta al testo at home for many years (I'm a longtime Perugian), and I can assure you that a real torta al testo is something completely different, especially because it's not a leavened dough like a pizza... Of course, everyone can do what they want in their own restaurant, but they should at least give it a different name! I suggest: pizza Otello or pizza dello chef.

14/08/2026: We've been here many times and have always had a good experience, but last time, we were very disappointed with the service. The waiter blatantly ignored us while we waited to ask for a table. We waited in front of the entrance, and as soon as he came out, instead of serving us, he gave priority to the person who had come in after us and was immediately behind us. This meant we lost the opportunity to sit outside, as the person who was served before us was assigned the last table. The waiter also seemed annoyed and didn't make us feel comfortable. It's a shame because the pub is worth it, but given the welcome we received, we don't know if we'll return.

19/07/2026: 1 star (I would give 0 if I could). We had a reservation for a group of 10. On arrival, our table was inside in a room that was around 35°C with no ventilation or air conditioning. It was not somewhere we could sit and eat, so we decided to leave. We paid for the drinks we’d already ordered and explained our decision politely. Staff then tried to charge us an additional fee that had no basis and was not previously discussed. When I calmly declined and insisted we were leaving, they became aggressive: shouting, insulting me, throwing the money back at me, and making a comment wishing harm on me. I stayed calm and we left. I’m posting this so other guests know what to expect. To the L’Antics Osteria di Montone team: our group of 10 spent over €1,000 at the restaurant we went to instead. That‘s the business you lost by treating paying customers this way.

19/07/2026: Words cannot describe this utterly disappointing place. I have never experienced such incredibly unfriendly, unprofessional, and nasty staff. If you can, make a huge detour around this restaurant in the beautiful town of Montone. Long story short – it's a real dump.

30/08/2025: I had dinner here last night with my family. What can I say? It was a fantastic evening from start to finish. The atmosphere was welcoming and quaint, set in an ancient cellar with stone walls and antique doors, yet not at all stuffy. We were served by a very kind, friendly, and professional lady, whom I sincerely thank for her hospitality! And now for the food, a 10/10 for the chef! The dishes were sublime: classic appetizers and innovative traditional first courses made with fresh pasta and quality ingredients. The tagliata was so tender and melted in the mouth. The finale was explosive, with delicious, freshly prepared desserts! What more can I say? I hope to return, and well done! A round of applause to all of you!

18/04/2026: I finally found the perfect pizza! 😍 What can I say... incredibly light dough, a high, airy crust, and top-quality ingredients. I had the pizza with artichoke carpaccio and with puntarelle and anchovies, and I couldn't wait to share this wonder. It's not just delicious, it's an experience! 😍 Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

26/06/2026: A wonderful experience, this restaurant serves traditional Romagna cuisine with a touch of the Marche in some dishes. Friendly and attentive service, excellent food quality, definitely worth a visit!

14/06/2026: The pizza arrived burnt on the bottom. I kindly asked them to remake it, but it arrived burnt on the bottom again. Not good at all!

23/05/2026: Had delicious pasta carbonara with pork cheek and salad for lunch. Nice terrace to sit on, but the waitresses could be a bit more cheerful 😋😉

25/04/2026: A truly negative experience. Yesterday, we kindly asked for extra chairs at the table because there were initially more than one person. Shortly afterward, some friends left, leaving three of us, so I immediately apologized to the waiter for the change. His reaction was completely inappropriate: he insulted me, calling me an "idiot," and added that he "couldn't even bring chairs," all accompanied by a final curse. This was absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional behavior. I understand that the job can be stressful; I've personally worked with the public for 10 years, but respect for customers should be the foundation. I won't be returning, and I don't recommend it.
