In the heart of Assisi, Osteria Santu Mangione was a wonderful discovery. The appetizer was excellent, showcasing the quality of the local produce, while the first course, the strangozzi with truffles, was truly delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful, and a special thanks to Paolo, who was warm and welcoming. The atmosphere was pleasant!

Had a great lunch. Kudos to the owner/chef for his dedication to serving dishes made with select ingredients. Kudos also to the artisanal gelato (and more) he invented and produced. I will definitely be back.

Welcoming place. Authentic cuisine, featuring traditional Umbrian dishes, with an eye for local products. Exceptional prosciutto, as was the peasant-style lamb. Attentive and helpful service, even though the place was packed. Paolo, the owner, was, as always, a pleasant and friendly person.
